I was not very impressed with the dishes and the flavor in them. I was looking for Cuban food and while they do have some dishes it seemed like they have a blend of other Latin American dishes. It felt like a fast food restaurant. If you are into fast food then this is a good place for cheap eats.

I love mi apa it s very convenient, cheap, and tasty. However, this morning when me and my partner decided to have breakfast at mi apa we waited for 45 minutes, never being helped or spoken to.i suggest that u should come up with a better system for taking care of incoming guests so nobody feels left behind or forgotten.

Got the key west Cuban which was really good. But I asked to get rice and beans instead of the tiny bag of plantain chips. And when I received the receipt I saw that I was charged separately for both the rice and the beans which added up to $5 after tax. For just rice and beans! And they won t let you substitute the tiny bag of plantain chips. So ultimately the sandwich alone costs $9. Just seems silly a Cuban restaurant won t let you sub for rice and beans and when you do order it, it s $5! Rather go to Flaco s for Cuban if I m in Gainesville. Flaco s is much better priced.

I was there last Sunday, and I had a very disgusting experience. It was crowded and dirty. I couldn t eat there because I went to the bathroom and there were cockroaches all over the floor. I downloaded some pictures . I believe the restaurant is a health hazard.

Heard from a friend that there was great breakfast here, and decided I needed to have a real Cuban coffee again. Was not disappointed! What they didn't tell me was that they have more than just Cuban - they make arepas almost as good as my Mom does from Venezuela! Great all around experience too, the staff was friendly and bore with me being confused with everything because it was my first time there. Plus the atmosphere is inviting as well. No complaints here.

I ordered a Miami Cuban and it was Absolutely Delicious! I also ordered the black beans and yellow rice which we also love. Unfortunately we ended up with white rice. The management has explained that it was an honest mistake and has made it right. I greatly appreciate that! This truly is the best restaurant around that truly cares about its customers! Highly recommend!!

Best Cuban sandwiches in Gainesville. The drive-through and pick-up are still operational during the shelter in place. We called to place our order and they're able to process payment over the phone. There was a line at the drive-through so we went inside and everything was ready. Workers were wearing masks and surfaces were covered. I felt very safe ordering from here and the food is delicious. It's a great value for tasty food - place an order now!

The service and food here is acceptable. We have been to Mi Apa twice and find the food to be ok. It seems to be a popular place to eat because both times we went the place was packed. The Cuban coffee was the main reason we chose to eat here originally. The first time I had breakfast and the second time I had lunch. The servers are nice and the place seems to be clean. It is close to campus and price is fair.

I didn't like their empanadas (not enough filling and not fresh). The Cuban sandwich wasn't good either and their arepas are so so. The tres leches cake is good but tiny and our server wasn't friendly at all. Definitely Not the best Latin food North of Miami.

This place is really tasty and they have a lot of options. The servers are always super nice. Best watermelon juice ever here. Only giving four stars because they are out of avocado 20% of the time I go, and rather than telling me I'll get home to find no avocado in what I ordered (when going through drive through.)

Update: this restaurant has become my go-to if I'm ever in the mood for Spanish food. Not only is it authentic, it is also filling, delicious, quick, and reasonably priced. The staff is also very accommodating and friendly everytime. This is definitely a top choice for anyone looking for some Spanish taste.

Everything was amazing! I went through the drive-thru ordered a frita cubana and a flan. The freedia was very authentic and packed full of flavor it was just totally amazing. And the flying witch I'm always reluctant to order at places was also equally as amazing it reminded me of my grandmother's. If I didn't give him more stars I would I can't wait to come back and try something else!

Having been here numerous times in the past and always leaving very satisfied this visit left much to be desired. The normally fresh hot croquetas were stiff and cold. Obviously made very early and had been sitting under a heat lamp even though we were there at 9am. The Cuban tostadas were not toasted at all and were also cold. But on a positive note the Cafe con leche was excellent! Will definitely give them another chance based on all my past visits.

Fist time visiting and last time. Good food, but they need to work on their customer service. There is one girl with black straight hair, Laura D., at the register that should be removed from this area. The owner should keep an eye on her. Day of visit 6-25-20 at 7:30pm. Who represents and welcomes you in a business, say more than anything else. :-(

Nice little Hispanic food place. But be warned the drive through can be slower than just hopping inside and is known to get backed up. I also wish they would switch away from using styrofoam :( @ndy
