Metropolitan st. louis sewer district Review

MSD should be taken over by the EPA. The workers in the field who actually do the difficult work are awesome. They work incredibly hard and are willing to come out to address issues in rain, sleet, snow or hail. I have tremendous respect for them. The business of MSD, however, is another matter entirely. The task with which this public service company is charged, is simply beyond its capacity to deliver. Rather than acknowledge this fact and engage the EPA to work toward a more productive solution, MSD steamrolls over rate-payers and offloads its liability to customers who haven't the knowledge, influence, power, or means to fight against what often results in an unconscionable abuse of power. The EPA refuses to hold MSD to account. Unethical and beyond frustrating, it is a terribly disheartening state of affairs.

We used 6 ccfs,they charged us for 14ccfs. Not a rate increase. It's fraudulent charging.

I keep getting phone calls stating that i owe and my bill is past due.... I HAVNT EVEN RECEIVED MY BILL YET!!!! wth is wrong with MSD?! I mean seriously.. who is in charge here?! MAKE IT WORK BETTER!!!

Update: It is March 25th 2021 and we JUST got our bill that was due on 2/25/2021...

now tell me, how can I pay my bill on time if my bill arrived a month later?

I don t know why they even put a phone number on the website, it s not like anyone will answer you. I would like someone to explain why my water bill was $47 and our sewer is charging $76. We just moved into the St. Louis County and already regretting it. I would say don t do business with them, but it s not like you have a choice.

Lost keys in a sewer at Macklind Marke on a Saturday afternoon. MSD was great from the lady who took my call to the crew. Came out in a timely manner and Nick Hunnicutt and the crew cheerfully retrieved my keys!!! Their work is hard and mostly unappreciated - thanks to all!!!!

I've been trying to contact MSD literally for a week. The phones hang up when you press speak to customer service, or they say call back during normal business hours when I am calling during their normal hours of operation. Their website says they're having phone issue but come on for an entire week.

HORRIBLE !!! They charged me twice for a bill I paid over the phone, the man I spoke with was EXTREMELY condescending and zero help ! My bank couldn t dispute it bc I used my debit/credit card . Now MSD wants to issue me a CHECK which could take up to 30 DAYS !!!! Also, the bill was over $200! Why is a sewer bill so much ?!? So they took over $400 and had the nerve to say I authorized it !! SMH looking for another company ASAP!

This company is a total ripoff! I do not understand how my watermill is less than my sewage. Also I have have paid my bill 4 months una Row and Not one payment has posted yet my funds were taken out of my account. The company has changed me DOUBLE for the onth of August...its Ridiculous! I think its time for legal action

I cannot get ahold of anyone to talk about my bill due to the systems being down . I am constantly trying to pay online and the system gave me a confirmation number and then there is no trace of payment history or pending payments from my bank . My basement has flooded 2 times in a year and no one can ever help with info when ever you call . The lady I did speak to in a different department laughed and knew nothing other than the billing lines were down .

Rates are extremely high, and then they make it extremely difficult to pay online or over the phone.
