Metro Dogs Daycare and Boarding Reviews

I cannot recommend Metro Dogs enough! Our pup, Maple, has been going to daycare here about 2 times a week since she was 4 months old and she LOVES it. As a German Shepherd, Maple is naturally rather suspicious of new people/places, but the staff at Metro Dogs is incredible and has always made her feel so comfortable. I love dropping her off each time knowing that she is in such great care.

Hands down, deciding to take Maple to daycare at Metro Dogs has been one of the best choices we've made for her. It's helped to socialize her in ways that we never would have been able to achieve on our own. Again, I cannot recommend Metro Dogs enough!

What's relevant in evaluating a place like this is what does your DOG think about it and how does it affect their behavior:

- My puppy nearly pops out of my arms to sprint in when I drop him off in the morning, and doesn't want to leave at night. He clearly LOVES being there.
- My puppy is goes right to sleep and isn't super hungry at the end of the day, so I know he's been WELL exercised and fed
- My puppy started at 3 months old and now at ~6 months is the most well-socialized quarantine puppy I know, not fearful or overly aggressive. This was not the case before he started, so I completely blame metro + "Go Anywhere Dog Training" (also recommend).
- My puppy has been getting better at his basic commands (even as I'm getting a bit lazier about teaching him) and I suspect this is because Metro is training him well.

My experience with the people who run it has been great; they're organized, considerate, welcoming, knowledgable, friendly, accommodating. It's great that they have cameras too. But all that really is much less relevant than what my puppy thinks, and he loves it. Worth every penny given their staff ratio and how special this place is. Thank you Metro dogs! :)

I recommend Metro Dogs to all my dog owning friends. Our dog has been visiting 1-2 times a week for over a year. It is conveniently located for people that work downtown with easy parking for drop-offs and pickups. The dogs receive constant attention from the kind attentive staff. I especially love the online webcams that allow me to be able to watch my dog at play.

Metro Dogs is the best -- the location is super convenient with easy drop off & pick-up, the staff is AMAZING, and the hours are perfect for my workday (and love the option of early drop-off if I need to get her there extra early)! Honestly, if my dog had the option she'd go 5x/week (or move in)! I also love how great the staff is with monitoring the dogs and their temperaments - I never worry about Charlie possibly getting in a fight or hurt by another pup. Being able to watch her play on the cameras is definitely a perk, too. I couldn't recommend Metro Dogs more and am so thankful to have them!

My dog always has a great time . She's a springer and plays all day and is tired for a few days afterwords. It's really amazing. I love watching her on the camera see who she's friends with.

We have two dogs who we take here regularly. They absolutely love it here and are always excited when we mention going to daycare. They come home exhausted from a day of playing. It s easy to see that the staff really cares about their well-being. They also know a lot about dogs and dog behavior, so we are very comfortable leaving our girls in their care.

We absolutely LOVE Metro Dogs. Not only are they so sweet and welcoming but Madi cannot get enough. Every single time we tell her she's going she responds with SO MUCH EXCITEMENT. She gets great play time with nap time included, which is great that they implement it so the pups don't get over exhausted. She always eats so well there and actually loves boarding there, which makes us feel so great. We never feel nervous leaving her there and have even boarded her for 2.5wks with no issues at all. And of course I can't get enough of watching her play on the webcam, her tail is always so happy every time I see her. When we pick her up she of course showers us with love and then is ready to go straight to bed. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves their pup and has ever felt nervous about daycare. We once had to take her somewhere else before we started at Metro Dogs and immediately knew we'd NEVER take her there nor would we ever take her anywhere other than Metro Dogs! We are beyond happy we found Metro Dogs and thank everyone there for taking such good care of our fur baby!!! Bonus they also send update photos while she's boarding, which are just priceless.

Highly recommend Metro Dogs! We've been taking our small (10 lb) dog, Winnie, to Metro Dogs for over 3 years. In my opinion, the top reasons to choose Metro Dogs over similar dog daycare providers is as follows:
1. Safety. For me, safety is top priority. Metro has the largest playrooms in town and thoughtfully matches dogs to the rooms based on behavior analysis. They also cap capacity. Our dog is small, which means she's being set up for success.
2. Dogs enjoy it! As a puppy, our dog would be so tied that she would put herself to sleep after daycare. Older now, she is still so excited to go to Metro Dogs that she scratches to get out of the car in the morning. We have tried other dog daycare in the area that are closer to home/work. Unfortunately, our dog quickly became afraid of those locations and would shake. It made me question how she was treated and the conditions she was in. A big difference that I noticed was size of playrooms and lack of permanent staff at other providers. I know from watching on the cameras, and conversations with staff, that our dog is constantly receiving interaction at Metro Dogs. Plus Winnie is still really tired post daycare!
3. Staff. Our dog started as a puppy over 3 years ago. The staff really hasn't changed. The employees know me and my dog. In fact, she greets the staff the same way she greets our extended family members. It is heartwarming for me to see! I also trust the staff doing the grooming services and I hear about any issues they encounter. This means they prioritize the dog's safety/comfort over profit, which matters to me.
4. Convenience. Pick up and drop off is so simple. Plus their contact free Covid-19 protocol is genius. The employees are friendly and wonderful to work with when scheduling. We often need early drop off or late pick up, which is easy to arrange and much appreciated!

Metro Dogs has been so amazing for the growth of our 5 year old rescue corgi! When Winnie started going to Metro Dogs over 6 months ago, she was so shy and nervous, and didn't let many people come near her. Now, she plays with the staff & they have truly made her feel so comfortable! Some of them can even get some cuddles out of her if they are lucky! The staff are all so friendly and kind and always seem to be treating our dog the exact way that we would be treating her! So happy we found Metro Dogs!!!
