Good quality, on mountain food and coffee, has a bar as well, booths and tables, cafeteria style service, which can get extremely busy at peak times. Has vego and vegan options, is fresh and a down to earth atmosphere with friendly staff.

One of my favourite places on the mountain at Thredbo. The kids love the hot chocolates and I can get a good coffee there. Food options are good. It doesn't have the range of food of some of the larger eating houses but there is enough to meet most tastes. It's often packed out over lunch so I tend to take lunch early. There are toilets which is all that can be said for them.
Black Sallees is a privately owned bar, Sandy is very friendly and his place an oasis on the slopes with that 1L of CC
Hot chocolates are amazing!! The best ever! Then add it with a pie it is the perfect warmer for the slopes!
Slow service for hot choclate and was charged for a coffee i did not order. Food went cold waiting for the drinks.
Amazing place on a cold and snowy day. Coffee is highly recommended as is the breakfast burger. Was a bit of a mix up with our order, staff were super apologetic and provided a Schnapps on the house!

The food is what I always looked forward to, the best on the mountains, but it has gone downhill compared to a few years back when you could get lamb shanks, ribs, a decent selection of desserts. Now it's just average burgers, nachos.. Expensive as usual.

Great range of options for lunch and a really good atmosphere. They frequently play music on the deck to add to the vibe. But there will be a large renovation in January 2020, so everything could change after that
Great beers here! How can you not enjoy a place that serves full steins of beer! Most ski days at Thredbo involve a stop here for a beer and some potato wedges. When the sun s out it s a great spot to pull up for a rest and watch people skiing down the slopes.

Decent spot to stop for lunch . When we re here last (Apr 2021) there was nachos laksa pies chips burgers and chicken wings on offer. Soup of the day was minestrone which was more like a cheesy stew than soup. Decent place for Summer and Winter. Accessible via the new Merrits Gondola which is enclosed and easy to ride even if you re not skiing /boarding / bike riding
Pricey. But for Australian Alps there is better value than most. Food is epic

Fantastic day up the mountain with a great view of the Snowy Mountains. Saturday's they have the DJ music happening in front of the Corona bar with lots of atmosphere and entertainment.

The prices here are actually reasonable compared with the rest of Thredbo and the quality of food that you get. Can highly recommend the chicken burger and also the the schnapps for $5 at schnappy hour.
Merritts Mountain is a great break from all the frosty powder you may encounter during your time at Thredbo, but better it contains the best hot chocolate on MT. Kosciuszko, nachos, soup, curried chicken, a variety of juices and a nice rustic atmosphere.
