Mercure Centro Hotel Review

Very nice hotel to stay at for a little bit. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. I got top floor and the view is amazing. Although it is a small hotel it was a good experience.

GREAT ALL ROUND EXPERIENCE .. good location , superb rooms , love the pool , had everything we needed and more , restaurant is very moorish , really friendly staff made our stay in port enjoyable definately come back again .

It was ok. Great location n lovely pool, staff were also nice but it stops there. Room n the bed was quite small. No facilities like microwave, plates or cutlery and other little but essential things. I couldn't warm my baby's milk in the middle of the night. Uncomfortable stay for me.

Always a beautiful sanctuary in Port Macquarie. A beautiful pool, great conference facilities and bar with happy hour at the end of a long Conference. Apparently the restaurant serves the best lamb cutlets on the planet.... According to a friend. Highly recommend as a reps reprieve from a big sales day or as a weekend getaway for a family as it central to everything.

Very friendly service and nice rooms. Good for value as well. What I liked most about it is the location and also the service by the staff. What I didn't like though, was the attention to small details - for example, when I checked in to the room, there was a used soap in the shower booth, which someone previously had used. Just a small mistake by the cleaner, but wasn't something that I wasn't expecting to see in a hotel. Didn't bother me at all but something that can definitely be improved on!

I went to Mecure for a Christmas work function. The food was exquisite. The pork belly with pear entree was the best meal I have ever had and the main meal beef potato and asparagus was so yummy . Will try and save up and take my family there for a special occassion one day soon!

Friends of mine have stayed at Mercure Port Macquarie and cannot rate it highly enough. The professional yet genuine service is a credit to this Hotel. From check-in to check-out, there are plenty of advantages to staying at this property. The Hotel location is in the CBD, perfect for leaving your car in the underground secure car park within the Hotel. Walk to shops, restaurants and the beach without ever being to far to walk back. Synergy Restaurant and Bar always leaves a great impression with a great selection on their Ala Carte menu. They will be back.

Stay here when we can, clean and practical. Easy access to port central

I was dissapointed that there was no microwave in the room. The bed was very hard.
Good parking. Easy check in. Otherwise comfortable room. Not worth the price though.

The bar tenders were rude and abnoxcious. Handing drinks with there hands over the top of the glass, none of the staff were happy to be there.

Location very convenient, rooms a decent size and quite modern. Only problems I had were no tissues supplied anywhere in the room which was quite odd and i had to use the buttons on the side of the TV to control the volume.

The location is what you are paying for. The room was quite comfortable and you can work on the desk, however the bathroom needs updating. Aside from renovating the bathroom the property is very well priced for Port Macquarie, it is almost unbeatable for Accorplus and elites after accounting for discounts and benefits.

Even though there was an issue with our room it was quickly rectified. Great service, great price and fantastic breakfast with paper. Highly recommended.

We stayed for three nights at the Mercure Centro on our way from Sydney to Brisbane visiting family. We were made to feel very welcome and all the staff from General Manager through the bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable and well equipped. We had good recommendations of wine and menus from the waiting staff and all round it was an excellent visit. We will definitely stay here again as it was very relaxing and pleasant.

Family of four staying for 3 nights. Fantastic room. Great location, close to shops and walking distance to restaurants and beaches. Can't wait to come and stay again next holidays!

My brief stay at your hotel was because of a wedding (which overall was amazing as the wedding service, food and drinks were worth a 10/10); but the hotel service that encompassed my stay in general was low. First off I work as a beauty therapist in a spa that happens to be held in Mercure Clear Mountain Brisbane, so I know that hotel service can be good; but unfortunately I did not receive this at my stay in Port Macquarie. When I arrived I didn't receive a welcome, wasn't offered help with my bags, nor was it explained to me how to use the lifts which were complicated and new for me. I also ordered food for lunch (which I was glad I was able to have as your restaurant wasn't open) but I felt that it was rushed as the bacon was barely cooked on my toasted sandwich and the chips were raw. I was told it would take 20 minutes to make which I had no problem with, but I feel that what I was given was not up to normal standards. The next day I ordered breakfast to come to my room from 8-8:30, but I did not receive it till 8:45 (which was disappointing as I needed to get to the airport by 9:00am). I was greatly disappointed to find the toast soggy, barely toasted, and the eggs not having been seasoned and tasted of too much oil. The only good thing was the croissant which saved it for me. Unfortunately as a whole I feel very unhappy with my stay there, which is a shame as I know the service can be and is heaps better.

Good value for money and location. Rooms are clean and modern. Lots of power points. 'Normal' TV allows for Chromecast etc. Nothing really to fault.

Great hotel. Eveeything you nees. Best beds to sleep on.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. We had a wheelchair accessible room- im in a very long wheelchair yet was able to access the bathroom, bed etc with ease. Only small issue is the door is not really able to be opened by someone wheelchair bound.... so assistance was required.

Dont take this hotel. Terrible. Im having holiday on weekend this hotel. But stupid people had party on balcony till 1pm a lot of loud so i complained 2 times to office. But they never fix it. And no one office after 10pm.

Very short but pleasant stay. Lovely room with balcony onto pool area. Only $10 a night to park in the locked private garage. 10 minute walk to the beach and surrounded by many shops and cafes. Would definitely stay here again!

Port Macquarie Mercure was great. Staff were very helpful and hospitable. The room was your usual Mercure layout, clean and tidy. Great location, walking distance to the main beach and river, and for those shopaholics it's conveniently located next to the plaza. Having a balcony was great, just a shame the view was the Plaza rooftop car park lol. All in all it was a very satisfying visit.

The staff at this hotel are truly amazing, I travel around the world and I was pleasantly surprised and happy to say that I found their service to be the best in the world!! The hotel is well located, clean and pool area is fabulous ...definitely would return.

We booked 5 rooms at Mercure Centro for 3/4 nights. It was a busy school holiday period and while the hotel was full, 2 of our rooms were upgraded to the best rooms in the hotel. Being Platinum member, I was given complimentary drinks and breakfast as well as free parking.
The rooms were clean except one room that had bad toilet smell.
Restaurant staff were extremely friendly. (Sarah is awesome)
Only 1 lift so had to wait a bit for check out.
Overall, very happy with the stay.

Hotel is about 4 years old and well maintained. Payed around 120 for a night after mentioning the quoted price from Internet (moth I stayed was in june), which I thought was great value for money considering how new and clean the hotel is.
I would not stay anywhere else when in port macquarie as long as the price stays the same.

Close to town and with good facility. The restaurant offers a good choice however forget the prawn ravioli entree - on ravioli with smear and avocado timbale $23 way too much...

Late checked in via a lock key box. Location is very Central with lots of eateries and shops nearby. Parking available underground and on Street parking. Rooms are clean and serviced with tea and coffee facilities.

A very nice hotel, the room was big, the area was great, close to shops and tourist attractions, good toiletries, very nice bed, nice and helpful staff. The parking is not free but you can leave the car there and have a stroll around.

Great service, friendly & helpful staff. Stopped overnight in Port on my way home. I was tired when I got there & they arranged for a fabulous meal sent to my room for dinner. Made my stay so easy.

Good venue spoilt by relatively untrained staff who aren t focused in the kind of customer service attitude that better Accor properties have. Good food in restaurant and good rooms though.

Rooms were clean, bathroom is huge love having a spa in the room. Rooms are huge with lounge and kitchen table.

Comfortable, clean, located near to shopping center and short walk to waters edge.
Meals were tasty from a limited menu. Short list of very reasonably priced room service options. Buffet breakfasts are very tasty with individual options available.
The most satisfying and appealing aspect was the staff and their genuine interaction. They were friendly engaging and helpful. It was such a welcoming and pleasant experience.

The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Nothing seemed too much and they were always willing to help. The restaurant was a bit expensive but good food. We started off in a small room for the first half of our stay but moved to a larger room for the remainder. The large spa room was amazing. Lovely balcony and huge bathroom. So much space! Thanks for a great holiday. The Everetts

Excellent staff in every part of the hotel, very friendly and helpful. Try everything possible to accommodate customer's need. Rooms are in good condition, clean. Good location, have under cover car park. Accor advantage plus card is accepted which was a big plus for us. Restaurant for dinner is pricey but food is good, and staff is excellent.

Clean and friendly. Nice view. The bathroom is pretty small and not a lot of room to move around or get dressed after a shower but its still all clean.

It appeared aesthetically pleasing as I utilised the pokestop outside the front of the motel, definitely improved from my last holiday 4 years ago

While staff are very friendly ,one super star " the vovid Marshall " knew his drinks .knew the menue ,made perfect cup of coffee.
I gave one star as loyal customer lancer club plus ,the facility do not honour the contractual agreement with accor to provide 50% discount which is part of a # paid membership. And part of contractual agreement.
We as customers acknowledge the covid 19 effect of business however it should not be passed to your customers. Headquarters should have policy in-place ... if clients have to pay full price 5 stars resurant would be better option.
Im sorry even though customers service was up to standard and the staff are awesome.

An ideal hotel for a quick or lengthy visit to Port Maquarie. Walking distance from the best restaurants in the area. The secure parking is cheap and the rooms are not bad.

Centrally located, however housekeeping forgot to remove the trash from the room while cleaning (they left the trash on the table)

The rooms are smaller then my time in a Mexican jail.

Mercure Centro is situated in the centre of town, close to the beach & restaurants. We were welcome by friendly reception staff and the room was in excellent condition. The Synergy restaurant at the hotel, food and service was excellent.

Food was sensational at the restaurant both dinner and breakfast. Bed was a little average with old dinted mattress.

Loveless rooms with very simple furnishings. Reception open until 9 p.m.
