I took the '06 E350 in for a schedule C maintenanc...

I took the '06 E350 in for a schedule C maintenance. The message appeared for several months. I don't really think I needed an oil change and filter since the auto has been driven only 280 miles since last year. The cost was $397. The auto was presented in great shape.

What can I or we do to prevent this happening again?

Jesus Valiente is one of the best service advisors...

Jesus Valiente is one of the best service advisors I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Coming from Houston, Texas to Tampa, Florida, it was tough to find a dealership in the Florida area and service department that really cared about their customers. After trying several dealerships, finally I was introduced to Jesus in Tampa and his services have been incredible. Anytime there has been an issue with either of my vehicles, it has been handled quickly and for less money than other dealerships have charged previously; which coming from Texas I appreciate. Jesus is very professional and I appreciate how efficient he always is. He has my recommendation to family and friends.

The staff is polite and they definitely have a lot of cars, but was I impressed with this dealership??? Not particularly. I've been to better. Don't get me wrong The place is pretty and it's clean but that's not the only thing that makes a dealership.

Rick Acosta is our regular advisor and is great. Always helpful with an excellent attitude. We never dread coming in for service and are always satisfied. We came into the dealership on a Saturday 2 weeks ago and Rick was off so Bob Murath took care of us immediately and had us on our way. Great service in a friendly atmosphere.

But how is it that the dealership beat his price, did outstanding work, and extended me quality customer service in a timely manner. the 20% wild card discount coupon on the MBTAMPA website is just plain and simple fraud..
not for service, brakes, battery, alignment.. NOTHING..I was told that it does not apply to maintenance items...oil change, a battery, brakes, alignment is all considered maintenance...so what does the coupon apply too?

The MBCPO warranty has not covered many items I have had to get fixed.. I am not talking about tires, brakes, fluids or maintenance items..
Just recently i was charged $750 for an electronically controlled a/c baffle that's behind the dash that MB calls a trim item and $200 for a broken muffler clamp.

I had paid $5,000 for a 2 year extended Mercedes Benz CPO warranty...

all recommended services performed ... the $300 and $400 oil changes that quickly escalate to $1000 with MB wiper blades $95, brake flush $200, $100 air filter.....alignment $189.00.

if you are thinking of purchasing a CPO Mercedes think twice before you sign.
Update. Mercedes Benz usa has informed me that once a repair is made and paid for they don't reimburse... you paid for it you own it..

don't go ahead with a repair that should be covered but not approved.. once you pay you are stuck.

as for MBUSA: it takes several emails and phone calls to MBUSA to even get a response..

Can t say enough good things about Joey my service advisor! I will only bring my car in when I know he will be there. I text him beforehand and he has everything set up for me when I get there. Having two bratty kids in tow most of the time, I appreciate how quickly I can get in and out of there. He goes above and beyond. Keep it up!

I always have a fab experience at MB Tampa. Juli Martin is a wonderful Customer Care Associate and when I had an emergency repair that needed to be done she got my car right in for the repair as soon as it was received on the property. I was able to get to school by 10:30a after a very scary morning! She is helpful and efficient and I am glad she is my Care Rep!

Darrell Williams is my service guy @ MB of TB and I have dropped in many times without an appointment, e.g. nail in the tire, problems with the display monitor etc, and Darrell is always courteous and accommodating. The quality of service at MB of TB, especially in the service department, is the main reason why I keep leasing with them vs. going somewhere else.

I had my vehicle serviced at Mercedes Benz of Tampa Bay and it was a awesome experience. I had 3services being performed and I was in and out under 2 hours. My vehicle feels like new. I have been getting my vehicles Serviced here for more than four years and my service advisor Jesus provides Excellent service from start to finish keeping you informed on every step of the way. I recommend MB of TAMPA Bay. The prices are Mercedes Benz prices but you get what you pay for.

Today was my first visit to MB of Tampa (wanted to take care of a couple of small service items) and was fortunate to have Jesus Valiente as my Service Consultant. I had an appt. for 7am but still didn't think they would be able to get to my car so quickly (again, service items were small and I did not buy my MB from there). Jesus was an absolute pleasure to work with to say the least. He not only got my car back to the shop to address those items immediately, but he constantly kept me in the loop as to progress and estimate until my car would be ready. My service items got addressed (they had all the parts needed on site so that was an added bonus), performed a safety check just to ensure all was good -AND- also washed and vacuumed my car! All that said, my service items were under warranty so I didn't spend a dime but was treated like gold! I feel bad I didn't buy my car from MB of Tampa but they will absolutely be my first choice when I purchase the next one. I credit this to Jesus, not only for his professionalism but for being so customer centric and an incredible respresentative for MB of Tampa. They're very fortunate to have him and I plan to ask for him next time I bring my car in! Jesus, all your efforts do not go unnoticed - you totally made my day!

I have purchased multiple cars from this dealership and I always come back due to two things. I love the sales manager Moe Awada who does everything he can to make the purchase of the vehicle as fun, quick and exciting process. He was originally my sales man and was promoted and I keep coming back.

Another area where this dealership separates it self is in the service department especially my service Advisors Rick Acosta & Jaleel Khan these two gentlemen go above and beyond, I never have to worry about a thing when it comes to the car. A quick phone call and they re on it they get me in with a loner ready and answer all my questions. I would recommend this dealership and those gentlemen highly!

I spoke to Andy about test driving a new C63 AMG as I will be buying one within the coming month. He told me he would get back to me but never did. I believe it is because I disclosed this information and he did not want to "waste his time" with me. Unfortunately for him and to their gain I went and shopped at CrownEuro Cars in Pinellas instead. I was treated like an actual customer and will be placing an order for a new AMG from them soon. Guess you missed out on some commission.

I highly recommend Mercedes Benz of Tampa Bay for Free lattes, smoothies, and cappucinos! So far my Benz had been under warranty so I haven't paid for any work other than wear and tear items. My service advisor has been pretty nice and quick to Henry car worked on. If a job takes over 2 hours, they'll give me a loaner Benz which is nice. The snacks are definitely better than Reeves BMW But not as good as Ferman BMW.

I couldn't be happier and more pleased with the service department, in particular my service adviser, Mike Nankowitch. He is professional, courteous, goes over all my repairs in detail. I never feel taken advantage of. He gives me heads up on repairs that are coming up at the following service so I can prepare accordingly. I would not go anywhere else!

He knows automobiles; how they function and is willing to take the time to explain, in detail, why certain work is required. I never never get the impression he suggests unnecessary repairs. I have been going to Mercedes Benz of Tampa for about 15 years. I have had many advisors and just by chance I got Jayden. For me she has been everything I look for in customer service! She extremely professional and courteous of my time. Anytime I have had a question or concern she responds with a comprehensive answer in a timely fashion. As well when I get my cars serviced , she has my loaner ready when arrive , she accommodates my crazy schedule and honestly she is just a pleasure to work with.
I don t like BS and she just tells me how it is.
So if you don t like courteous , on time , straight forward service with a true smile and great demeanor the Jayden is not for you otherwise ask for her and you will not be disappointed!

I drove all the way from Miami to purchase my vehicle from Mercedes Benz of Tampa and I can honestly say the journey was definitely worth it. This is primarily because of the great service I received from Sydney and Kevin. Honestly those two made my car buying experience extremely enjoyable and easy. I will definitely be referring others to Mercedes Benz of Tampa, and I ll make sure they ask to work with Sydney and Kevin.

Mr. Shedrick Payne is an "Excellent" MB Certified Sales Consultant! He treated me with respect, had excellent communication skills and was honest throughout the entire deal! I reached out online for an pre-approval for a GLE 350 and my trade in. Shedrick immediately contacted me everything was smooth sailing from there. After receiving a quote online for my trade-in vehicle I went to Mercedes Benz of Tampa to test drive the new car. Everything was great!! Traded in my old vehicle and drove away within 2 hours in my new vehicle. I couldn't have done this without Shedrick Payne! Thanks so much and I LOVE MY NEW TRUCK!!!

Mr. Youssef Chafik was the Finance Manager who made the deal even better!! After sitting with Mr. Chafik, I was able to finance my new GLE 350 and completed all of the paper work within 20 mins. The overall experience at Mercedes Benz of Tampa was "Outstanding". This is my 4th Mercedes vehicle and I will always be a Tampa Mercedes Benz customer!!!

Took car for B Service. Service advisor told me parts were failing and that they needed attention. I took to other dealships to run tests and give estimates.. all other dealers stated nothing was wrong.
Basically, don't trust this service Dept.
They will put all new parts in your car for the price.. but your car doesn't really need them.
For instance. Advisor claims my battery has failed MidTronics. And that only Mercedes can test the batteries. This is just ridiculous. My battery is working perfectly on every other battery tester.

Numerous issues with service, and they have their advisors emailing customers begging to post 5 star reviews on here to increase their ratings. Just take note that all of the fake 5-star reviews have been posted within a few days of one another.

On top of it all, they forgot to use bcc so 200+ other customers now have my email address - thanks a lot, MB Tampa. In this day and age of data privacy you really ought to have more common sense. Unbelievable.

Really enjoyed the buying experience at MB Tampa. The salesman, Fausto Torres was great and the mgmt. personal were also very helpful. My wife loves her new e class and I think it's about the most comfortable car I've ever been in. If you are looking for a Mercedes it's worth the drive to Tampa.

One of the best dealerships ever! I was in for with a new car for maintenance and Jaden in service really helped me out. She was able to fix everything on the car and provide a general inspection for free. They even washed my car, it looks great! I would continue doing business with Mercedes of Tampa solely because of how informed they kept me throughout the whole process and provided me with all the information I needed to make the right decision when it came to my maintenance. Now I know I have a reliable service department just a text away.

*My parents also bought a car from Mercedes of Tampa and they were also extremely pleased with the sales department.

I took my brand new Mercedes-Benz this "courtesy car wash" and when I got home, I noticed they took over $40 I had in my glove compartment and I went the next morning and talked to the service manager and he took my phone number to get back to me when they "review " the camaras and is been 3 weeks and nobody hasn't call me back. Please either don't bring your car here or take all your personal items out. Otherwise they will NOT respect and take them. Really disappointed with this Mercedes-Benz Tampa.

Rick Acosta has been my service advisor for the past 5 years he makes it a pleasant experience. You feel as though you are his only client., makes it a seamless process. You never have to worry as he pays attention to detail. I highly recommend him for their service advisor.

We have purchased 4 vehicles over the last 4 years from MB of Tampa. Three of these have been purchased through Bruno Santelli. Throughout each purchase Bruno has been professional, straightforward, courteous and friendly. I highly recommend him to anyone in the market for a luxury vehicle. Our service advisor, Rick Acosta is also outstanding, providing updates and fair and accurate pricing. I can t recommend this dealership highly enough and anticipate the purchase of many more vehicle from them in the future.

Sales team is great, but the service team really need to work on their approach to customers. Every time I take my GLK 2012 to service I feel more discouraged to go back. I do not know if is because I am relative young or if is because I am foreign but every time I go there and decide to not get their "suggestions" I get a face of disappointment and treated like I did not matter any more. Today, I went for service and I needed new tires. My brother and I did not like the deal we were getting, and asked the person who was attending us (I do want to get him in trouble because I feel is a general thing, not just him) if there were other options. He just mentioned other brands and when we asked for models he said, "call them and give them these numbers". He did not even bother to say thank you for coming. I am really hoping to see a change, I totally understand that its their job but the way they approach really gives the impression that they are just concern to make a big sale.

Amazing Service from Julian Burt and Chad Close.
Extremely insightful, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.
We left without feeling pressured.
The entire facility is a first class establishment from it's people....to the product they are selling! I would highly recommend Mercedes-Benz of Tampa to anyone looking for classy new car.
