I was looking for a "Combination square with a square and center head" and the store does not carry them. Extremely disappointing. I guess I'll have to order direct from Starrett Tool company. Maybe they'll appreciate my money more.

Purchased pavers online and picked up at store. Good
experience. Directed to the pavers accurately.

Typical Menards experience. They have most everything you're looking for but quality can be an issue. Make sure you know what you need. If you're in the Eau Claire store and can't find something ask for Marcia. She's great!

Worst wood in the world, but we're stuck with it, Home Depot was not allowed here, because of menards .

This was my first visit to Menard's, and is it EVER overwhelming!! They literally have EVERYTHING. The only negative I have is that it has SO much, it's difficult for them to organize it all. Items are scattered through out the store, and not all like items are grouped together. Fortunately, the staff is plentiful and helpful!

Good selection, but you really need to know what you're looking for and where to find it, because it's very difficult to find someone who can help you. And watch the quality - don't expect planks to be straight, for instance. The employees are very nice, however, and they're doing their best. I have found that they don't necessarily have the experience necessary to give advice about particular jobs, even those behind the pro desk. And if you call, expect to hear that something is available only to discover that the reality is quite different - possibly this is to get customers in the door. And "Rebates" are for in-store credit only, not for money back, so don't attempt to cash them.
I will not order online again - too much confusion over rules that are not made clear to the customer. For example, each item is considered a separate order, so when you get notified that your order is ready to be picked up, it doesn't mean everything you actually ordered which can be a waste of a trip not to mention the time and gas if you live a distance away. And if you make changes, expect to be charged.
Really miss Home Depot's quality and pro advice (they often hire retired engineers). As far as online orders, I'm sorry, but Amazon isn't any more expensive and they deliver, so they don't waste our time with multiple trips.

Associate in the plumbing department was very helpful. Checkout was quick.

Not helpful in the yard picking up lumber. Down right rude. Wish home depot would come to eau Claire.

Walked the entire store looking for 2 items couldn't find. Didn't Have much for help. The employees didn't ask if you needed help and that is of you could find one to ask and then you get I think. Walked out very disappointed.

Very low inventory of lumber. Treated lumber almost non existent.

Every time I go here they move stuff around from the last visit so I have search for it! Where's the weather stripping? Maybe I should just grab an associate and have them do my shopping!

Kudos to Menards for requiring face masks for all shoppers/employees during this pandemic. As of 6/24/2020, CDC says 30,000+ lives can be saved if 95% of population wears masks IN PUBLIC ENCLOSED SPACES. I will drive from Menomonie once a week to shop at Menards for this very reason. This is real patriotism - showing concern and unity for all citizens. Let the whiny, unpatriotic shoppers go somewhere else and if they are still alive in a year, they can always come back. THANK YOU MENARDS - you make Wisconsin proud!!!

Employees are always friendly and more than willing to help you find something. The store itself has the best selection of hand and power tools and accessories that you could ask for. Love Menards tool brand "Masterforce." Very durable and they make pretty much any tool you need, and at a reasonable price! Overall a great store.

They are very friendly at the checkouts, but you need to change your policy when someone asks for help. Nobody EVER wants to take you to where the item is, they just point. I ASKED THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND NOBODY WOULD SHOW ME WHERE IT WAS.

Has a good selection but some items have damage to the packaging

It's Menards, the only game in town, unfortunately there is a lack of competition in the area. That being said they do have decent prices on some items. The CSR's could be proactive and helpful when they observe someone searching for something, but they just walk but without any customer acknowledgement.

Found everything that I went out for. Felt safe, everyone was wearing a mask.

They due a receipt for a pickup in the yard for lumber and they are out and then they won't give you a rain check or a phone call to let you know it's in. That is poor customer service for them to do this to customers

Every person that talked with us were very courteous, nice, for sure to shop again there.

Shopping was great. But the roads on his property was unsafe not salted. Saw 3 cars lose control.

Menards lost my business, their practices are absolutely bull. I will not participate in the madness. I will not pay for one of their masks to enter the store and it is an invasion for them to force me to take a temp, and as a single mom with sole custody, how the hell can a company tell me I cannot take my children with me. They need to be reported for price gauging for the disposal face masks.
I suspect they paid about 7 cents for them and reselling them for $1 at a profit. Trump signed an act preventing this to protect the people. This company is making hand over fist taking advantage of the community during this crisis.

A great home improvement chain that has nearly everything you need. Have never had too much of an issue with quality or customer service.

Lots to find at Menards , But if you need a small socket they have no 6 point sockets and no 12 point. It's nice to find a cheep socket instead of having to buy a set but all your going to do is waste your money. Instead go to a auto parts store and buy a 6 point.

Awkward entrance and checkout stalls. Parking could be better. Weird prices like $4 difference between 4 foot vs. 6 foot table.

they almost always have what I need! plus they make people wear masks! thank god!

Has just about everything u need. Needs some smaller bags of dog food

If I could I'd give a negative star. IF you like to buy used products for full price than Menards is the place to go. Wish we had a home Depot so wasted my time. Again you pay for used/damaged/poor quality from this store. Better to buy Amazon they markdown or tell you when a product has been used.

Needed a shade cut to size. The young man efficient and polite.

Had to reorder siding 3 times because they kept ordering the color wrong. When trying to get help about this issue the guys at the service desk were rude as hell!! Making it feel like it was my fault! I gave them the sample and exact color I needed.. not sure we're the miscommunication could of been! Now I just ordered over $1,000 in doors and guess what!! Went to pick them up and they ordered the wrong door!!! I'll drive the extra miles and go to a Home Depot!!!!!!!

It's always fun shopping at Menards. Especially when they have their 11% rebate sale.

Not liking menards return policy cash vs debit. Even tho is still advertised that debit is the same as using cash. ....and lately,is a hit n miss on finding an employee that actually knows anything, even when they're suppose to specialize in their department. It's a rare find when you fund one who knows a great deal about the entire store, what they stock and where to go around town to find the item you're looking for when they don't carry it. And black Friday shopping last year was a huge disappointment, the sales stopped at exactly the time listed in the ad, so if the sale ended at noon and you get the merchandise to the register and rung up at 12:05 then you lost out on the sale. So, if you want to guarantee the sale price, check out well before noon or pay regular price.

The people at these stores are amazing good people there to help guests 100. Despite the poorly Ran Menards DC. You people are amazing do not ever become infected with what is going through Menards DC. I truly hope your team at the stores love there work. They are awesome. Thanks!

I was shopping at Menards and was using my debit card. I tried it a couple times and it declined. Got cash from husband to pay and we left. Check my online banking and they did 4 deposits and withdrawal which made us even. Checked it a couple days later and they added money twice to my account then a day later they took out 4 more times. So they took out of my account 2 times more then they put in. The transaction was denied so how did they take money from me. I went to Menards to talk to someone about getting my money back and they said oh we can't help u with that. This is how Menards makes money. My lesson in this do not to shop at Menards. My advice. Check your transactions with Menards. They may have taken out more than they should have.

Most of the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. If you re getting lumber make sure to select your own.

One step above Maletto's...some buildings/departments are fine/safe; others are very dangerous due to poor management

Got in on a busy Saturday, found what I needed, check out was smooth and quick! Helpful, friendly people!

My wife ordered six small boards online for a project and selected "curbside pickup," because of her health issues. When she arrived and called the posted "Order Pickup" phone number (on the sign which clearly states that the order will be brought to your car) a very bored-sounding guy told her she'd have to go inside and get them herself. Only vague directions were offered as to where they might be. My wife had to walk halfway across the store and climb to two different mezzanines to try to find the right boards. (I'm not sure how Menards can get away with not having elevators to the mezzanines for handicapped customers?) When she finally found the boards, she had to carry them down the stairs herself. Why advertise curbside pickup of orders if that's not what it is? The only difference between "curbside pickup" and going into the store is that we parked on the other side of the building. And if "curbside pickup" is going to continue to be offered, they should add more exit lanes from the yard, as it took about ten minutes to get out, once we had the boards in the car.

They always have what I need. It is usually on sale or there is a rebate for it. Prices for items are always clearly marked. The staff there is very friendly and helpful.

There is never anyone around to assist and if you do find someone, half the time they are just as lost as you are.

Good stuff for house type situations. Really great.

Purchased a Christmas tree. Got home and the box was full of misc product and fixtures. Took it back, spoke with a manager then I retrieved another tree. Too funny.

Once again I they sold me shingles they didnt have? No inventory list?

The associates are usually friendly and try to be helpful. They have good prices on lumber, but you will usually have to spend vast amounts of time digging through to find a few good boards. They essentially have a monopoly in the region, so good luck finding a competitive mass home improvement retailer in the area. I have had numerous quality issues with their own manufactured items, like doors and fasteners. I definitely do not blame the workers, it seems to be a process problem.

Some people knowledgeable and helpful about there departments others not so much. depends on who you get that day.
