Memphis Drum Shop Review

A privately-owned, long-established Drum Shop. We have traveled quite some distance out of our way several times to visit the shop. They are a full-service facility and carry a wide range of percussion.

Their selection of symbols is outstanding. They also have unique singing bowls as well as a collection of gongs that are worth going out of your way to see. For the gongs, you do need to call ahead to arrange to see them.

Though it's out of the way, it's easy to find and there is plenty of on-street parking nearby.

This shop has an impressive inventory, great prices and the best service ever. I recently purchased a new snare drum online and I couldn't be happier.

After listening to several choices using the well-made videos for each drum, I was able make an informed decision. I breezed through the simple check out process, received timely confirmation and shipping emails and received the solidly packaged drum on time.

The next time I'm in Memphis I'll be sure to stop by and thank them in person!

First off, like to say the cymbal videos are awesome! They do such a great job of representing the cymbal you are purchasing! Cymbal choice is huge investment,Huge part of drumming. they take all guess work out of it. There amount of stock they have to choose from, along with great recordings of drums you may want to purchase.Staff very knowledgeable, timely. No returns from this guy!

Memphis Drum Shop is my 'goto' source for all things drums. I've bought additions to my classic Yamaha drumset, awesome cymbals and they've even researched and found impossible to find parts for me!

Memphis adapted spectacularly to the virtual world that we're in now with their rapid response ordering, their over the top customer service, sales and support and of course "My Cymbal" where you can listen to the exact cymbal you buy over headphones or speakers.

Memphis is awesome...and don't forget them when you need that special 'something' that you can't find at any other drum store!

After seeing their Instagram posts for a while, I decided to go there during a recent trip to Memphis. OUTSTANDING selection of cymbals, snare drums, kits, and world percussion. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating (even lent me gloves so my fingerprints didn't get on the cymbals I tried). Pricing was reasonable (not too high, nor too low). On-street parking.
NOTE: You need to set up an appointment to see the gong studio.

Memphis drum shop!! Wow what a blessing you guys have been to me. It s always an inspiring experience every time I have ever had questions or an order. I love the you tube videos and the fact that I can order that exact cymbal( in my case).. thank you for the best customer service, you all make me feel like family. Memphis Drum shop. What can I say, that anyone who's seen their videos doesn't already know.. Riley welcomed me in and answered all my questions, he went above and beyond to help me try out some cymbals I've never even been able to find in person.

His professionalism and knowledge made me feel right at home. And it was hard to contain my inner child from running around like it was a discovery zone of sound, free to try out ever single sound making device in that store. But he was happy to oblige.

I left with a better understanding of what kind of cymbals I'm looking for and it's all thanks to Riley at the Memphis Drum Shop!
