These Guys Were AMAZING!!!! - Had all our pre-wedding and honeymoon pictures on our camera card go and these guys were able to get almost all of them recovered. Service was fast and easy, no issue at all. Verification of files was awesome aswell as price was very respectable based on having to do specialized work. Only costed us a few hundred dollars to get back photos that are literally priceless. If you put it in perspective, you pay a mechanic almost $100 a hour to look at a vehicle why would these guys be any different expecally since they are extremely technical. Well worth the money and and very fair prices coming from someone in the computer feild. Would use and recommend them again any day.

PS - they replied back within a hour with a personal quote (not auto-generated) so dont think it will be one of those places that will never get back to you or will be generic.

These guys are magicians! I have had two occasions to get their help. The first was on a driving trip when a passenger in my car put my beloved BlackBerry into the cup holder after making a call. Unfortunately, there was a cup of coffee there. The device was toast. Bob Giannoulis and his lab technicians tried several different strategies that didn't work, but they didn't give up. Eventually they sent the phone to a contact in Russia and my treasured photos from that trip were recovered. (We know what great hackers the Russians are.)

The second time was when my laptop suddenly exploded and burst into flames. It made a jet of flame like a welding torch, blowing a hole the size of a Loonie through the keyboard, and was left a black and sooty mess. I hoped Memofix could recover my data, and they came through once again. Such a great feeling when you have had such a loss and they can save the day.

Where do i start... well. I had purchased a new harddrive online of which is used as a backup. In middle of transferring data, both harddrive failed. With ticking noise the chances of things being fixed as I was told was slim by many companies. Now I talked to Bob and David over the phone and they were very informative about the process and the cost. A TRUSTED LAB. I waited about 6 months until i pulled the trigger and went with it.

-now the initial quote was actually 1400-1600 however the final cost was even lower than that! Not only did they recover my data but 99% of it despite being told a lot of my files were difficult to read. The ones that weren't recoverable was still able to open but possibly slightly corrupted. To me it wasnt a huge deal as I already had a backup of those. I had personal and business information and trusted no other than Memofix.

to wrap it up, they shipped it earlier than I thought before I was away from the city for a reasonable price. I may even have my 10 year old SD card recovered next =] THANKS AGAIN!

At the beginning, when they got my HP computer for repairs, it was some misunderstanding, but the company took the issue very serious and resolved it in the best possible way. They even contacted HP and tried to find the best solution when the issue was only between me and HP. I definitely can recommend the company and their customer service.

We received this drive and opened it up for inspection as part of the evaluation.
Evaluation: Damaged read/write heads, rings of damage in the System Area visible via fog test AND dust in the filter. Unfortunately, there is no recovery possible from a drive in this condition. We did try a set of replacement heads and found them destroyed by the media damage. That confirms the findings it is not recoverable. Sorry for the bad news!
We do not charge for the evaluation. Next step?

I cannot recommend Memofix enough!! From my initial contact with David who provided a thorough explanation of their pricing and recovery process to my ongoing contact with Bob over the time my data was being recovered. The customer service I experienced was incredible to say the least - quick email response time and went out of their way to check in on my case as I was eager to keep track of the process.

While the whole process did take 3 weeks and unfortunately was not cheap, I would not hesitate to use their services again (though I have learned my lesson and hope I never have to)!! I thought I had lost 20 years of pictures and videos but Memofix was successful in recovering all but 10 files. I could not be happier with the results!

We chose to personally drive my hard drive to their Concord location but due to our location opted to pay for the UPS shipping back to us. Reasonable price and arrived the next day.

I emailed them my problem. They called back as promised within 24 hours. Bob called and we fixed an appointment. I dropped off my decade old laptop that had old pictures on it. This is a data recovery service that I will recommend to anyone I know. From the get go my experience was professionally and courteously taken care of. I inquired about the service before I even sent in my damaged drive. I received a prompt response detailing how the data will be recovered and the associated costs. Once I sent in my drive by mail it was assessed and a response was provided to me. Due to the nature of the damage, the actual cost would have been much higher than the price quoted. But memofix decided to honour the original price which was much lower. They managed to recover almost all the data and were even willing to not charge me anything after I discovered that I had already backed up most of it on another hard drive. I originally went with memofix because of the positive reviews.. But after dealing with Bob G. and the professional service I received from him, I feel compelled to write my own. I have almost zero fear now of losing my data because I am confident in Bob and memofix to be able to recover it. I'd like to publicly thank Bob and his team for a wonderful and stress free service.

Memofix is extremely professional and I am very impressed with their customer service. I sent them a hard drive that was in a very poor condition and they diagnosed the problem the same day they received it. Because of the extreme damage to the drive, the quote they sent me was $2,500 + taxes which was too high for me to afford. However they were happy to return the drive without any additional charges. They even tracked my hard drive with the courier until my hard drive was back at my place. I would recommend memofix to anyone who wants their data recovered. Got my Thinkpad serviced here after after deciding I didn't want to wait however long to mail it to Lenovo, and I'm glad I did. The staff were helpful and got my laptop back to me faster than I expected.

I was at a loss when my backup external drive crashed after I uploaded everything form my laptop b/c my laptop was dying! I had an essentially bricked Iphone 7 that seemed impossible for me to retrieve my 1000s of photos/videos off of. After contacting Apple and several other phone repair shops that said nothing could be done to save my files, I found memofix. In less than a month after shipping away my phone they managed to retrieve ALL the photos/videos on the phone. They kept me updated during the whole process and I'm extremely happy with the result of their efforts and their prompt customer service.

I had dropped an external hard drive and could no longer access files. This was my personal mass back-up drive that it had some files were not stored elsewhere. I brought it to Memofix to be assessed.

Data recovery is an expensive service, especially when you have to pay it out of your own pocket vs. a corporate expense account. My goal was to proceed if I could be assured that I could recover the bulk of the files that were stored, increasing the chances that I would recover some of the files that were not backed-up elsewhere.

I met with Bob, the customer service representative, who was personable, helpful and is a good communicator. I had committed to paying the expense, if it was possible to meet my data recovery goals.

Memofix determined that the drive heads were damaged and the drive surfaces were so scarred that they were not confident that there would be enough data recovered to make it worth my while to proceed. In the testing process, they had replaced drive heads in the lab to see if they could read anything and they were quickly damaged by the scarred surfaces.

After a discussion with Bob, I decided not to proceed as the costs would outweigh the benefits in this case. Bob was great to deal with and maintained good lines of communication throughout the process.

Bottom line, I found Memofix to be a very honourable company to deal with. They weren't just interested in taking my money. They were truly focused on trying to provide me with a solution that I would be comfortable with. It was disappointing in the end, but that had to deal with how damaged the drive was. I would recommend Memofix based on my experience.

My hard drive with photos was diagnosed as extensively damage. We don't have data recovery on the island and extremely expensive regionally. Luckly I had a friend travelling to Canada for few months. Memofix wasn't my 1st choice as I was using the web to find a rovery company. After receiving the quote and advised they couldn't accommodate a payment plan option to us, we decided to continue researching for another company. Fortunately, a friend recommended Memofix and we were not disappointed. Sevice, communication, timing and amount of data recovered, excellent!! Great service, they were able to recover 99% of the data on my girlfriend's hybrid drive even though it was a chip failure which I understand is not an easy recovery to accomplish.

Absolutely THE BEST company I have ever dealt with. Yesterday, I almost lost all of my server data due to a major corruption of the backup file and disk failure. A client of mine had as situation where they needed data to be recovered. i was deffered to them by someone. Bob D. was at front end person signing in our devices. He told us that he will be the point of contact for any news or updates. They were all very professional, very curtious and upfront about all the charges. In 2004, during an office move, I lost ten floppy discs containing irreplaceable data. A decade later the discs resurfaced in another office move, but by then 12 years had passed, and so many technological evolutions had come and gone that I'd given up hope. People said to forget. Not going to happen. Even the guys at the major tech companies couldn't help. I'd given up looking for someone anyone who could help me and when I found Memofix. These folks took this on as a personal challenge, and in 24 hours they had completely resurrected my long-lost data, originally in MacWrite II no less! Memofix did an excellent job of recovering data from my physically and electronically damaged hard drive for what I consider to be a very reasonable price. The damage was greater than I expected but they did recover the files I sought. Sending me a document containing a list of recoverable data files before approving and paying for the data recovery allowed me to make a more sound judgement of the cost vs benefit of the service. The Memofix Team are Pros. Our hard drive with our wedding photos on it was dropped and everything was lost... It was sent to more then one company and the result was not good. After doing some research, we found Memofix and decided to drop by and see what they could do (this was our last hope). After dropping our hard drive off they gave us a call 2 days later. The word was that it didn't look good but there maybe some hope. We went ahead with the recovery attempted and about a few weeks later we got a call... The news was in and the Memofix team worked hard and recovered all but 13 of 2000 wedding photos and almost everything else on the hard drive (990Gb).

my laptop hard drive abruptly died on me , David was nothing but great during the whole ordeal with recovering data from the dead hard drive, true professionals, excellent customer service, highly recommended.

My experience with Memofix was great. I had two hard drives that were in a Raid1 (mirrored) configuration, where both were electrically damaged due to a surge. The data was important to my business as well as personally, as I kept family pictures and videos on them too.

Bob was very helpful in arranging their pickup and drop off and was in contact during the entire process, in most cases replying to emails within an hour or two.

All data was recovered successfully and though it was an expensive service, you get what you pay for. They are known to be one of the best data recovery companies in Canada and they lived up to my expectations.

Thought I was being prudent to back up our home network, (over a decade of family photos and an extensive music collection), on a NAS box, but IT failed :-( Memofix recovered 100% of the data within 48 hours at very reasonable cost. There are a lot of companies out there claiming to be professional data recover business' but be wary as many are just looking for the easily recovered data and will happily take your money even if they are unsuccessful. Memofix on the other hand only charges if they can recover the data you need!

I had a SSD drive which unfortunately are pretty much impossible to recover *deleted* data. My computer seemed to have a glitch during an intense project render, causing all my files to self delete.

After doing some research I assumed the worst but still wanted a second opinion from the pros. Sadly memofix confirmed that the data was unable to be recovered.
