The people there are all nice and easy to deal with.
Well the people are cool but the dock situation is probably one of the toughest in the business. I saw guys with 20 yrs experience take 25 min to get into the dock. Be careful. You may ask the truck next to you to disconnect which will give you the extra room that you may need.
It's good place for me
When ever I get there maybe I was lucky jus in and out .but Docks not for 53'feet with sleeper cab really tight place. But security guy guve you door so you back up easy but still tight because there is no front to straight up your tractor.
The security guard in the golf cart get to go been waiting for 2 hours for 1 skids I am running out of hours
Bad parking. Come in from Fruitland st, park wait for a guy in cart take ur info & pray you don't swipe anything trying to back to dock. Loading is fast but parking is awful.
Dispatchers were slow and rude and apparently cocky for some reason.lets not forget about Johnny law guarding the parking lot like it was fort Knox.
Once you're in the parking lot there will be a guy on a golf cart come and take you to the staging area. Normally if your reasonably on time he will assign you to a door. Put your trailer on the door hebgives you (its a little tight). Take the check-in sheet he gives you to the shipping office. They will give you another piece of paper for the loaders to pull your orders.. From there you'll need a hair-net, and possible a beard-net to enter the cooler. Go to your assigned door. Raise the door, drop the dock plate and wait for a forklift operator to come and grab your paper from shipping. After the load is finished take the paper back to the shipping window and they will give you tour BOL's... easy peasy
This is the BEST place in California to get great produce with impeccable service!
So impressed with my first order of mixed box of organics. Fresh and abundant...a couple substitutions but all good.
Been there soo many times but the people working in checkin office are very rude they use rude language
Fast unloading service security guard so nice never waiting there
They should not allow drivers to enter the warehouse we are in the middle of a pandemic and yet they practically force you to enter that is not right
The getting to the dock is the worst. I am a fairly new driver and Thank God I had a team driver that could get backed in, and he has 20+ years of experience. It's not set up for these rigs with sleepers and 53ft trailers. It's set up for straight trucks. Once we got backed into the dock getting loaded was pretty quick.
Hi can anyone tell me is it safe to order fruit from this place I live in cleveland oh and would like to order dragon fruit. Thank you
Nice little warehouse, in and out within a few hours. Don't go in there with a 315 inch wheelbase like me and my w900. Docks are tight and not enough room to pull up and straighten out. Friendly staff and truck entrance is on Fruitland, not on Soto. 4 stars just because of dock space, otherwise all good.
Called an hour before I started on my way to the place. Second time I ve had to load here. Both times 5 hours or more. Backing into docks is very difficult.
Not designed for full-size sleeper tractors with 53' trailers. Disasters waiting to happen
Paid for overnight shipping but got my package 3 days later
It was 5 yeara aprox since last time I was here, and realy wish to spend at least 5 more before returning. 6 hours for 3 pallets. Very bad management.
The finest internationally sourced produce by a dedicated, knowledgeable staff who are also intent on educating the public and being a part of the community
AWFUL
Spent $69 for Sea Beans (Salicornia) and overnight shipping, off of their website. Ordered on Thursday, didn't ship until Monday, arrived on Tuesday completely inedible. I received a box with saran-wrapped styrofoam packages of slimy, wilted sea beans, that are clearly not fit for human consumption. What a waste of time and money!
One of the worst pick up experiences i have ever had 6.5 hours to load three pallets of product onto my trailer, had other pickups that I missed since I used my time waiting
Don t book load here this place is time killer for they just take 10hours to put to pallets which is ready if you ask them how long they will say don t ask really really bad I have options I will give the -star
Bought a box of lentis and they were like sand. I call the company, they stated they would send a placement coupon and it never showed , I called a month later, and Sharon and some other lady said she would call me back and never bothered. Sharon is a stuffy rude and a does not. Speak the truth or keep her word. I feel a product should be backed up, if it came to me not good. I will never buy there stuff again. I can see I am not the only person unhappy with how they handle their customers. That's not at all how to run a place.
Quick check in and loading if you have all the right information for pickup
A creepy place, a lively queue, very very slow. Two buildings across the road.On the first building, the security is angry and rude.Three trucks can wait inside, the other trucks on the street.
If they have the product ready you may get loaded fast and fallow the arrows to get the right entre
Morning folks, trucking companies, I got here 1 hour b4 my appointment, I backed up to doc door 3, trailer is loaded now at my appointment time. 5 gold stars from me to this shipping department. I also only have 45 minutes left in the 11 hour rule, stayed till 10 hours restart was ready. Very nice people here.
cant believe they lost one pallet and making me to sit for long time.is this my fault?still 2 places to pick up and they are going to waste my whole day.for this they are getting paid?never ever going to come over here again.and they make us fool.they told me they r looking for it ,but they r on brake.
Pack a lunch.and like the.man said.dinner two.arived at 0900...its now.2200 still not loaded... first time here.wont be back..a truckers nightmare
A bit slow.. super tight parking.. Slide tandems all the way to front, if place is full of trucks. ( note)
Was in and out
Chris gots it together and very friendly
Shipping and receiving opens at 1am check in with security in golf cart
I've been driving 32yrs and picking up here for as long as I can remember yes the people are nice and they have good looking produce but the docks are not bilt for today's tractor trailer combinations it's out dated and the wait to get loaded gets longer every time I'm here over 6hrs so far and they just told me it would be another hour. We'll see.8.5 hrs total and couldn't make my next pick up b4 they closed so I had 2 layover. It's to bad they didn't take out dock doors 11-13 when they put in the new doors and angle the others tward the exit they would have lost the worst doors to back into but would have made it much easier and safer and they could have gained dock space because we wouldn't need as much room to back in.just say in
Friendly people to work with here
The only negative I saw was the lack of room to maneuver into doors
Checked in at 0100 on 4-25-16 to load 5 pallets. At 1300 I'm still waiting. Not sure if I'm getting some super special produce but I must be because the 50 trucks that have come in after me have been loaded and gone. I know the produce game is slow but theres no excuse for booking a load and leaving the driver sitting all day.
Very good job and nice people with great experience..
All very kind and polite, except for one person, Alejandra, she yells at you no matter where you are from, I think she should have more education and everything is fine on my part
Since I was here last time they upgraded warehouse looking pretty good
Got loaded on promos time
Nice place just limited parking when there busy. No app. First come first serve.
This facility is tight, tight, tight for truckers. And just like the rest of the world using covid as an excuse
Checked in 1500 hrs way before a lot of trks, they load who ever they want came with 4.5 hrs of my 14 and in 30min no more hrs stuck in downtown Vernon Ca. Bring lunch and dinner.
Have been here since 11 am and am still waiting to get loaded . They told me around 5 or 6 PM before they could load me , I have 3 more pick ups to get to.
Tight parking no system just grab a door 2 thru 10 when open then go check in with shipping and take paperwork to to dock workers. Usually pretty quick unloading potatoes.
Staff is great. I loaded at the 2825 warehouse (thankful for that lol) still tight when crowded but they got me in and out in no time at all. Awesome. You can get 4 maybe 5 trucks staged in their lot or park on street.
Office staff is very nice
But security guard piggy ass
I was greeted kindly, is first come first served service, is not a big wherehouse where sometime is chaos, there where 5 trucks ahead they move pretty fast.
Warehouse people and loading very profesionals and fast!! Now backing up to the dock? Ohhhh lord! holyshit! Be prepare to do the imposible. Entrance on fruitland!
This place is one of the tightest I ve delivered to only because there were other sleeper trucks in the dock so the setup took some work but the gentleman with the cane helped immensely. They got me in quickly and started loading quickly. Even asked how I wanted it loaded. Everyone was very nice. I wish more shippers were this helpful. They went above and beyond.
4 hours to get 4 pallets so I would say they are really slow
It took them from 1030am to 1 am to load 4 pallets. Narrow space to back in to...
Bought some super hot peppers that were less hot than a jalapeno. At $48/lb I would expect a super hot pepper to be exactly that, super hot. Another person had the same issue if you look at Melissa's Facebook reviews
Edit, bumped up my score, they made it somewhat right by sending me some dry peppers. I appreciate that.
Docks are very hard to back into. Very little room to turn when backing. Skilled drivers only.
Costomer service is alright. Not going outta their way to be nice. Its on fruitland st to enter in a big rig. Park in the line in the parking lot. A dude in a golf cart drove up and checked me in initially. They knock on your door when they have a dock open. Then you back in their very tight and advanced skill level to maneuver dock. Hope you get a dock closer to the road. Then you go inside and check the rest of the way in.
Awesome place to pick up.!! There is usually a long line but they get $#!t done. I come here every week. I'd even consider driving for them.
Jumbo Chocolate dipped strawberries!
The best I've ever had, my favorite sweet indulgence for sure. The Belgian chocolate os what makes it so delicious
Stuck here for 18 hours, rude parking attendant who makes assumptions with no basis and proceded to pull a childish stunt that will insure we never load here again.
Can park on site overnight. Some products deliver across the street. FCFS but not long wait times.
Must enter by Fruitland St. pull in next to building on right and wait for the guard he will come to you . Backing is not for rookies! Got in pretty quick but one truck was in dock whole time I was here. Everyone was nice .
This is the worst place to pickup at, the wait time is off the charts. Every time I see Melissa's on my dispatch sheet, I cringe.
I guess the produce is good but as a driver your gonna Wait forever to get a door then have fun backing in its about as tight of a backing as it gets
That 1am shift office staff is rude and play to much
Second time here. Both times received a door quickly and started loading soon afterwards. Only negative is the very SMALL area to back into the door. Even seasoned veterans have some trouble. Long noses are really difficult for some of the doors.
Very hygienic and several security filters against the Corona virus I congratulate you my taste I felt safe
