Megaplex Theatres Review

Behind the times. I appreciate the air of this theatre but i am spoiled by the luxury loungers. I have to pay as much as that and it is interesting how cramped we are with the old seating.

The popcorn was so so and i could not find salt anywhere near. It felt like there was no customization to the experience and i dont get that from other theatres in town.

It was OK not much more. Very LOUD. Asked for recliners got a rocking chair...really? Would not move us. My disabled Mom's birthday...who has to have her legs up. She was miserable the entire movie. Sad...because she rarely goes to movies because of this exact reason. Won't return.

Great theatres overall. Some of them have strange seating though.

This place is amazing! Super clean and they make it super relaxing and comfortable to watch a movie. I love that you can recline in even the regular chairs, but I m also in love with the fact that you can choose from a variety of options. From regular to lounge chair to even d box or imax or 3D. The food option obviously super super pricey, but other than that I have absolutely no complaints about this theater. Everyone is always so nice and kind to me which has made this by far my top favorite theatre in Salt Lake City :)

Can't beat $5 Tuesday's at Megaplex Theaters!! It's nice that they mark down a few of the concession items as well. Makes going to the movies affordable again! Love being able to see a movie in their LUXURY seating without having to pay the big bucks

I don't go here very often, but when I do I usually have a good experience, nothing amazing but definitely not bad. The staff is friendly, they don't always smile or respond to you at first though. The theatre itself is usually clean and tidy, but the layout is really weird. It does get congested very easily which makes it difficult to get to the movie on time. The hallway from the lobby to the theaters is too small for the amount of people that are present when it's busy. Overall, I like this location and I'd recommend it to a friend/family.

Megaplex Jordan Commons is a fun place to be. The concession booths usually go quite quickly and all the help is very polite. After a movie, or before a movie you can always get a treat like ice cream in one of their many stands and other really fun deserts or savory delights.

Megaplex did movie theaters right. Their food is quite tasty. The sound is great even in the smaller theaters and the projection and image quality is very high. Love the place!!!

Tickets are usually available when other places are not, friendly staff, Cute and interesting place to visit.

The theater is very nice - clean, comfortable, and the audience is considerate. Service at the concession stand was rather slow so be sure to leave time for that.

The treats here are fabulous! Best ice cream and macaroons and quite accessible to get to. We go as a family often, and the staff does a great job with keeping it clean and flowing well.

Great luxury loungers (heated seats) and theater! Truly lives up to its name MEGA! Only gripe would be getting concessions seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday night. Great rewards system to gain free drink/popcorn refills.

Awesome, themed movie theater. The environment is something you expect in Disneyland. It's really cool. Their IMAX is HUGE!

Tons of food options, lots of theaters so you can always find a good movie. Comfortable and clean. I do wish they had alcohol in their VIP theater though. Love the food service they are just missing the beverage service.

Lots of showings, don't forget to buy a mug for less expensive drinks and always use your Meagaplex frequent user card

If you want to catch a movie I highly recommend Megaplex Theaters. They have good food you can eat in the theater like burgers and pizza and burritos. I highly recommend the luxury Reclining Seats available in some theaters. They are by far the best theater chain in UT.

Nice theater, but compared to newer buildings, it's very dated. The "premium" seating is standard at newer theaters, and the food court lacks options now. They need to rethink the experience to ensure it stays in business for another 20 years.

It's always fun going here with all the different foods and awesome movies.

big theater, lots of screens with lots of showtimes. employees are helpful enough. seats are comfortable. they show only the popular movies so indie stuff is unlikely to be showing. the seats are pretty comfortable. the theater itself is often too big seating too many so if its a popular film you might be stick off to the side or too close to the screen. sometimes the volume is too high or the projector out of focus.

This is the only place in Utah for great movies. Recently updated, it is my favorite theater in the state.

When I pay $10 for a movie, I don't really like to watch a half hour of commercials before the movie. Do not go here. Go to the sandy heights theater instead. It is much better.

Massive location. But everything was easy to find. Only bad thing was the box office employee. He was kinda of a jerk.

I've been coming to this Megaplex theater since I was a child. The city-like decorations were always unique and still kind of stand out even today. They offer everything you would need at a movie theater to enjoy your movie and the seats are comfortable enough too. I've also never had trouble finding somewhere to park.

Staff was very impatient when late to a premiere movie. Very frustrating.

A huge theater that also has a small town set up inside it. Great employees and huge theaters with great picture and sound. One of the coolest theaters in Utah

My fav theatre. Best popcorn. Get the refillable popcorn bucket. So cheap when you use it.

Great to have a variety of food which you can purchase and take into the movie. Reclining seats would have been even better. Stadium seating, a large screen and a great sound system make it an experience beyond watching a movie at home. They provide assigned seats.

Fabulous movie theater great place to take the family for a family evening good food and do it all in one the Megaplex Theaters or great set of theaters to go to very comfortable seats very affordable they look out for families.

The theatres are very nice, and I like having a food court and being able to take the food with me into the movie. I love the coke machines.

It would be nice to have some better dinner options. We had pizza hut pepperoni and a savory crepe. The pizza was great (typical pizza hut, if you like it), the crepe was ok, but not great. The only other dinner options were your run of the mill hot dog / hamburger / nachos, and they didn't look too appetizing, based on the pictures we saw.

There is no leadership at this place. Way too expensive!

This is a great place to see a movie! Also, $5 Tuesdays make for a great deal! They even have discounted popcorn that night, too!

Looks like a little town inside. Staff is friendly. Concessions not horribly expensive.

A great place to see movies and their rewards program can get you free snacks and tickets so make sure you sign up.

If you want all-in-one-stop entertainment, this is a great place to go. They offer lots of movies at various comfort levels and many options for food. Some of the seats are roomy and comfortable, but some are too close together.

The theater didn't have the mega-luxury seats, but the interior when you walk in is really cool. Good for dates, but if you want the opportunity to lift up the armrest and try to snug up to your other, look to a theater with the luxury seats. Great amount of food choices, and staff were friendly but professional

Wow! This place REALLY lives up to its name - MEGA! It's HUGE!! I was a bit overwhelmed mainly because I wasn't prepared with how enormous it was going to be. Because of that, it took me a bit to figure out navigating around. But once I did, it was amazing! It was REALLY cool. There were so many food choices and so many different places you could go. I wouldn't call it a theater, it was more like a mall of movies - a Movie Mall! :) You've got to try at least once.

Love this movie theater complex! It s almost like a Vegas-style themed venue, with the decor through the winding hallways and many dining options.

Incredible event space options, large and small, for corporate meetings, private parties and birthdays.

Advertisement, trailer, advertisement, trailer. . .repeat over and over. Ruins the movie theater experience. This is supposed to be theater not YouTube.

We saw Shazam in the IMAX theater and it was great. We love the big screen and sound system.

Love this theatre! It's a large complex and you can always find parking because they have a parking garage. I also love this one because they have tons of food options, so if you need to grab something before the movie and take it in, you totally can. Plus I'm a big fan of the $5 Tuesdays and that's applicable to all the screens, not just regular but also Imax and such.

This is the best theater in the entire state as far as I'm concerned. The employees are courteous, the facilities are always clean, and the seats are comfortable. I love that there are more options for luxury seating in many theaters. I go out of my way to come to this location.

The nacho grande are very good here. Went to a normal stadium seatinh, miss my reclining chairs.

We saw "Ford vs Ferrari." The movie was great, and was enhanced by the venue. The seats were comfortable, my butt didn't get tired. The only thing they could really do to improve the venue would be to have better outdoor signage. We guessed at which entrance to use, and we guess wrong. Don't get me wrong, the accessibility here is great, it was just a long way to walk to the ticket counter, and then the theater. Nice clean place, bathrooms were excellent, there was no trash littering the floors, and everyone I saw was carrying their trash to a can. This is a cultural circumstance, the audience was well behaved and cleaned up after themselves. A very nice place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Always has lines but they get you through quick.TONS of food selections. You want nachos during your movie? You can do that! A giant ice cream cone? They have that as well!

Lots of substantive food options (not just sugary snacks) and really comfortable seats.
