Megaplex Theatres Review

Seats were terrible. Felt like they wanted me to stare at the ceiling instead of the screen.

Very nice theater that seems to run into a lot of technical issues. They are good about giving out complimentary tickets when something goes wrong, but it would be nice if that happened a little less often.

This is my favorite place to go to the movies. Very high quality theater, very nice place in general, and it has good food options around it

Have always liked this theater. Plenty of parking, lots of movies, and great choices for food and snacks. Had to deduct one star for today's visit because the sound in our movie was so loud we had to stuff paper in our ears!

This place is huge and seems to have it all. Movie screens and sound systems are great. Food selection is awesome. Just wish the prices weren't so freaken high.

With its great selection of movies, abundant reserved seating options, and pleasing variety of food court choices, this is my favorite cinema venue in SLC.

The day after Christmas and they have two people running the concession stands with a line 100 feet out past the maze. Have been waiting 20 minutes and havent even reached the line maze. How bad is your management to be this poorly staffed on a day they know is going to be this busy?

It was awesome! We up graded to the luxury seats. . .it was worth it!!

Very large theater with an amazing lobby and snack selection. If you want something from the concessions, give yourself about 10 minutes of extra time.

I took the kiddos to see sonic. 1st time going to this theatre, won't be the last! Theparking is easy to find, but once you getinn there its like a whole shipping mall! Once we got or bearings, we easily found our way. Bathrooms are close to everywhere, themovie itself was very enjoyable. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be returning!

Great place always clean and popcorn is always fresh.

On Tuesdays they have the $5 movie deal and super cheap popcorn. Totally worth it. It does get pretty crowded/busy though

Larry Miller shows lesser known, good quality, low budget films that are worth going to see.

Clean Place, nice atmosphere, and great picture and sound quality. Concessions are pretty darn good too.

Remodels have made this theater better over the years. It's usually very clean and maintained. I don't go to movies often, but when I do I usually go here. Everything is way over priced just like most theaters.

Megaplex theaters are great- Always great sound and the best options for the best movie experience. I love the food options and the ability to take your meal in to the theater-

Did what it was supposed to, show movies. Had a unique atmosphere in the shops around it. Been there 3 times now, and I can say the seats are comfortable, but the smaller theater rooms are not desirable.
The popcorn and drinks are outrageous, but typical for the genre. Allowing a free refill is nice, and I'll get it before leaving if I haven't already got the refill.

LOVE this place. The whole place looks like a small movie set which is so cool to look at. their theatres are so comfy and they have a little place inside that sells the best crepes I've ever had.

This is my favorite movie theater in Salt Lake. The seats are comfortable, especially the luxury recliners. The ticket and snack area has really fun decoration and an exciting vibe. There are a lot of theaters, so they have a good selection of showtimes. Prices are very competitive as well!

Tuesdays especially are great movie nights as tickets are only $5!

Average price for an above average experience. Clean theaters and friendly staff.

Megaplex Theaters are my preferred theater because I know I can count on the friendliness of staff, the cleanliness of restrooms and auditoriums, amazing sound and picture quality, and comfortable seats.

These movie theatres are excellent. They're old, but they keep improving them so they seem new. I really like the centralized design where you can order food and hang out before they collect your tickets. The shops around it are great, like Joes Crab Shack. The hamburgers and burritos are usually good. I've seen a lot of good movies here.

Facilities are perfect and the seats are comfortable.

Used to come here all of the time. Great memories at Jordan Commons. Just live closer to the district now. This was the first and is still great!

This location best succeeds in filling the Megaplex goal of making a night at the movies feel luxurious and thoroughly enjoyable. It takes immaculate care of its theatres, making sure the sound is always perfect, seats are always comfortable, projectors are the latest and top quality, and everything is clean. This location has really good food choices, including specialty pizza and caramel corn refills for its popcorn Megatubs. If you hate freestyle Cokes, you can still get a fountain drink from a dedicated line at this location. Its 80' IMAX screen is the best in Utah.

A nice theatre that isn't as busy as it used to be. Only down side is none of the seats recline. But it's still upkept and clean.

Good snack options. Parking can be difficult. Very crowded on weekends.

Some of the trees here are so cool! It would be neat if the trimmed them all out like that.

Our favorite theater. Fish and chips here are pretty good.

Facilities are great, really. My problem is the *amount* of commercials we had to endure just to see the movie. I've never experienced this at other theaters. We all know that while we're waiting for the movie to start, we're going to see local commercials. It bothers me on a certain level, but I get it, and I'm prepared for it. In this case, the movie was late getting started, so we got to see the same commercials over and over for just a bit longer. Then, the "movie viewing process" started (house lights dimmed, and the curtains opened fully) - only for us to be treated to all of the exact same local commercials again, this time to be enjoyed in full screen mode! Then they add the obligatory nationally-sponsored commercials along with the movie theater chain commercials. Then we watched the previews, THEN we got to watch the same local commercials again! Some of them twice! I am such an easy-going guy, but by the last round, I had passed "fed up." I'm not going back, there are other theaters around that keep that nonsense to a minimum.

We came for an 8pm showing and had a hard time figuring out where to buy tickets. (We came in on the far side of the building)

It didn't help that HP was running an event at the time and had half the building blocked off and 100's of people in HP shirts running around.

This is my favorite theater. No matter how many people are coming and going the lines always clear quickly. They pack employees in there to make sure it is a well oiled machine. Their rewards program is awesome. They have Imax as well.

This is an amazing theater. Great place to take a date. And plenty of awesome food to be had.

Sort of like Disneyland but all the rides are movies.

We love this Megaplex Theater. It's a fun place to visit because it is so big and has so many food choices. Some of the average seats are a little worn so the VIP seats might be worth the extra money. Plus it's fun to feel pampered in the VIP loungers and theater.

Awesome theater and layout, but where is the arcade? Show up close to on time or else wait with nothing to do. Two great resturants in the same area for dinner and a movie style dates.

The VIP theater is awesome. Very comfortable and clean. Also it's great to be able to skip the lines for concessions and food. Everything gets delivered to you in the theater instead!

The line for concessions moves slowly. Bathrooms are only available behind the movie ticket checkpoint.

They do interesting events at their theaters as well as movies.

Definitely my favorite movie theatre! I feel like I am in Hollywood just walking thru the door entrance.

I've never had a poor experience at this theater. The employees are always kind and efficient.

Wonderful staff & very convenient place all around. I really like coming to this theatre because of the various seating options available. The luxury and regular seats are very comfortable. The biggest difference, aside from seat material, between both seat types is the extra room to either side. The audio is great, though nothing compares to the IMAX experience. Which this theatre ALSO offers! I love the fact that India House is down the street. I grab a great bite & catch a great film with no fuss.

Really comfy chair options, plays a good selection of movies, and has more than the average amount of snack choices. The staff was really nice, and some of them even cracked jokes. The only reason I gave 4 stars is it could have been cleaner. There were little bits of paper trash around. Someone left their spit cup behind my reclining seat, and it was not cleaned up between movies. I hope it was just a bad day, and not the norm. Still looking forward to going back.

I usually don't spend the money to go to theaters, I find it too expensive. This theater is very nice there's nobody in front of you because it stadium seating, and the seats are extraordinary really comfortable. I am a member of AARP, and this theater hosted us for a screening of a movie that wasn't going to be released until the next day, and they did it free of charge. I really like the way that they work with different types of organizations in order to help them. Good job Megaplex. once I quit being so cheap, I will patronize your business before others.
