A lot of choice but more expensive than Media Markt Germany, so buy my tip only if absolutely necessary and go to Media Markt Germany, you can sometimes save a lot
Terrible staff. Make derogatory jokes with each other about immigrants and do not even interest them whether there are customers or not. Even experienced that the manager raged against his staff with customers. I'll never come here again! If I want to hear derogatory discriminating jokes, I will go to a cabaret.
Generally very helpful staff. But today had an experience that ensures that I will not come back any time soon. COVID-19 has not yet disappeared and 1.5 meters away is the rule. If you make the queues in front of the cash register so that everyone has to be one after the other and you can only leave the store by taking a seat, that when it is busy in the store is not a realistic option. I didn't really need that today, as there were at least ten customers per row. With my daughter on her arm I walked to an empty cash register and through the security gates to the outside. I am approached in a bossy tone by a cashier with the message that this is not allowed. I indicate that I wanted to go outside, but according to her I should have walked past all the customers and asked if I could pass by (1.5 meters away, not to be done) or I should have stayed in line. It is not a crime in the Netherlands to leave a store without buying something, so make sure that it is possible without hindrance! Ps. apologies for the comment "get the flu".
Very nice media market with many free parking spaces.
Is not always the cheapest although they do suggest that. A very wide range and more than enough parking space and a lift is available.
Had a new phone reserved. Once arrived at MM, about 10 people were walking around on the 1st floor. Most were talking to each other except 1 or 2. Finally waited 20 minutes for the one who apparently was the only one (?) To help me get the reserved phone. When I asked that I thought it was strange that he was the only one who could help me, he was surprised and to my comment that so many of his colleagues seemed to be calm and he was the only one who could help me. He noted that he was alone in his department and that the people who normally work there had not yet returned from their break. They were 20 minutes late and finally came shuffling when I canceled the phone and was on my way out. I understand that it can happen that there are few staff, but the feeling that people at the MM only work as a (side) job was very noticeable.
Great store. Looking for an air conditioner for my elderly mother, we were very well helped by an employee who was not out to sell us anything, but asked us useful things.
Nice big store located on a big shopping square directly on the highway.

Mediocre. If the seller notices that he cannot realize a fast sale of TV, he cuts off the conversation and walks away. Satisfied about the assortment, very spacious. Presentation background with TVs is worthless. Prices and specs are displayed in-screen, so you won't sell TV, especially if there is no logical structure in models, prices, brands or otherwise.
we wanted to buy a 70 '' samsung tv, while watching a salesman asked if he could help us (he immediately noticed me with his popular talk, we didn't play around in the past).
of course because we were looking for a TV.
after selecting a TV, the seller would go to the warehouse to prepare the order. After 4 minutes, the seller came back with good and bad news.
The good news was that the TV was still there, the bad news was that I only had to pay an extra 100 euros for a TV that had already made them plug and play ready or I had to choose a refurbished device.
I have indicated that if they make a TV plug and play ready, not every customer wants this, so I wanted that TV to refuse to pay the 100 extra costs, because I can do this myself.
I had to choose the refurbished device according to the salesman because this had belonged to someone who had brought him back because his wife thought the TV was too large, he would still be original, there was nothing wrong with that.
of course that is pure nonsense, after all, it is not for nothing a refurbished device.
after a long questioning / whining, the seller finally admitted that something was possibly broken and that this was made / remedied against the guarantee.
I then told the seller that I have not been lied to and cheated.
the seller was tough on this and I had to figure it out.
if someone comes to me and cheats on me, I am done with it, we also left and eventually bought the TV at the neighbor BCC.
they don't see me again at the media market !!

Very bad 2x this week very unprofessional help. The first time I waited 45 minutes after asking if they could help us. Other people came in and were helped. Buy a Dyson vacuum cleaner this morning. When you arrive at the checkout, the saleswoman did not even check which one she gave ... This was therefore more expensive ... 2x so bought nothing.
It is a nice store only it is a meeia market so most expensive but sometimes a bit cheaper

1 month ago bought a new epson printer at the media market in Hengelo. 2 weeks later my children used the printer for the first time. the lines were printed squintly / dubberly. We immediately returned the printer to the media market. The printer was sent in for repair. After 10 days he was ready. upon returning home it turned out that the printer was not working properly yet. Back to the media market. The printer was sent in for the 2nd. Again to the media market yesterday. The printer installed on arrival and what do you think? the epson still does not print properly. Today, 4 weeks after purchasing the printer, again to the media market. Only now irritated. Have handed in the printer at the information desk. I told the employee that the NEW EPSON PRINTER had to be checked for the 3rd time. But actually I wanted another one. I had enough of it. But according to the media market employee I couldn't get another one. This is only possible if you return a product within 10 days. And not after 4 weeks. I told him angry that we live 20 km away. 3 x out and 3 x back = 120 km for a printer of less than 60. The media market didn't care.
In short, location is very bad. Almost outside the built-up area. Badly accessible by public transport or bicycle. Only accessible by car. It is often very busy in the store. Service may therefore leave something to be desired. At customer service you often stand in line for at least half an hour after you have drawn your number. Not recommended. I even prefer to go to the Mediamarkt location in Enschede from Hengelo. You will receive better service there and it is much more accessible by car, train, bus and bicycle.
The store is very transparent. Good quality in terms of products. Staff understand their business. Have been coming for years for all kinds of electronics and never had a problem except for 1 thing. Always recommend this shop to friends too.
I think this is a great location for the media market. They always have sufficient stock of everything
