The service is not professional, nor considerate. Transportation arrangements were made for 4pm, from the hospital going to a sub acute. First Medex was already late, then said, they will be an hour late. After waiting another hour and a half, the hospital called Medex to follow up, and then they said another hour. I have been waiting 2 hours with my mother, and now It will be another hour. This is not professional, and not exceptable. I work at a nursing facility, and I will be sure not to ever use this service. Now after 3 hours of waiting, the Medex is saying they dont have any one for the pick up at all. I have never ever experienced this. Never!!!

Another siren noise polluter. Constant noise, all hours of the day. Medex: control your drivers so they use sirens when truly needed, not all the time. And as of Jan 1st 2019, it's the LAW!
Two weeks ago on a Tuesday afternoon I was promptly picked up from the University of Chicago by MedEx EMT providers, Nick and Stephan, and driven to Ingalls Memorial Hospital. The pair rolled me out of the hospital and kindly ensured that I was warm for the brief moment we were in the cool, Chicago spring air. The ride in the ambulance was short, pleasant, and comfortable, thanks to MedEx's wonderful services. The two young gentlemen that I met were greatly qualified for their job and represented their company well. Of course, I was not surprised by the enjoyable experience, as the pair made a lovely impression from our initial interaction. As Stephan, with tousled dark curly hair, smiled at me behind wide framed glasses I was rolled into the elevator and Nick, dawning a grey beanie worn crooked, asked me my favorite question: "What kind of music do you listen to?" I responded with my usual answer that places me in a broad yet specific enough category to weed out anyone I definitely don't want to be friends with: "Rock and indie mostly," I said. To my surprise they agreed and we discussed the best albums and songs by the Red Hot Chili Peppers as I was rolled down the long hallway of the hospital and outside towards the ambulance. This polite, yet personal conversation set the tone for a delightful twenty-five minute ride in the back of the ambulance with Stephan. A ride in which we filled with our opinions on the best alternative rock bands, the usefulness of a college degree, travel: Europe or America?, the morals of movies about mermaids, and singing the words to my favorite song: An Island in the Sun (Weezer). After a rough experience in the hospital and not much to look forward to on the other end, Nick and Stephen both made me feel comfortable and cheerful despite my situation. The experience I had with MedEx was pleasant and safe, a delightful ride with absolutely no complaints. (: Did I mention that Stephan was hot? Not relevant to a company review, just throwing that out there. Still all positive reviews for MedEx! And a thanks for the hot drivers!
