Women waiting in wheelchair , was in the lobby at 4pm.
My husband and I overheard a conversation on the floor around the corner .
I overhead pt advocate, come out to update pt , she called ambulance, explain pt was their for 3 hours . I then walk up to the women in wheelchair, after my appointment. At 5pm . Know 4 hour wait! and ask who is the ambulance ? , she said med care , I though she said Medicare , she corrected me. I use to work at Mobile Care at Christ hospital as an Rn with Medics and Parmenides also Er and critical care . I know mobile care would have never dispatch , would have never made pt wait .They treated a pt , especially elderly with respect. She said she was staying at a nursing home called Shany ?
, I waited till the advocate, pt access , on was written on her badge , who left, then I spoke to the women who was in pain in chair .
So we arrived at dr at 4 pm then left at 5:10. . I will report to state board ,
. The women was calm and knowledgeable , maybe hard if hearing , No though of dementia .
I know COVID could not have affected a 4 hour wait.
I tried to call Med Care by hitting 2 . to order ambulance times 2. The recording said busy on the line , leave message !
Ask tried to leave a message , then hung up on Notice number was Columbus ? So know what ??
I will call state board on nursing home and ambulance . No accountability .
