Nice. I miss the Aquarena Springs with mermaids and swimming pig! Glass bottom boat is always interesting. Nice kids programs
A wonderful Texas State Triathlon swim! The water is so clear and there is so much to see including fish!
Always a pleasure to do some #scubaintexas at this beautiful location.
Nothing like it use to be,the glass bottom boats are the only thing left, the underwater theater, sky ride and old West town are what really made this place great.as well as the rotating tower. The boat rides are still a good thing to take the kids on.
Amazing place to visit and learn about aquafir system.
Excellent to go with the family and spend a day camping
Glass bottom boat tour is a fun reminder of the pristine beauty of the springs. My 2 year old had a blast
Charged $40 to dive for scuba class. Very expensive. Nobody can afford this for frequent use. Liberals control this lake. Horrible
The boat ride was definitely worth it. Very informative.
This place was an adventure in what, at first, seemed like an old school Resident-Evil styled laboratory on the edge of a suburban forest. The experience is made more surreal with the presence of an abandoned 1970's-futuristic styled amusement park where the vegetation and nature has reclaimed the man made structures! The glass bottom boats are cool, you get to see the creatures living in the vegetation below, within the pristine spring waters! There are still relics from the shows and rides that they had here during the 70's. The tours are loaded with local history of this "aquarena"! It has additional museum and info inside. Overall, a real learning experience. The flora & fauna above and below the spring is noteworthy!
Crystal clear water. Seeing the springs was pretty cool
This was an amazing trip! Everyone was so nice and the price was a real bargain!
Very interesting and neat boat tour. There are also walking paths where you can see the wetland.
Went about 3 years ago, such a wonderful experience during the summer time, really hot but the tour guide was amazing and very educational. My daughter and I enjoyed it. Would like to revisit one day. Went during our vacation to SanAntonio from Dallas.
I highly recommend the new snorkel program at Spring Lake. Great staff/guides. They provide all the gear to make it easy on everyone and keep the undesirables out of the federally protected water. They currently are offering an "intro course" which allowed us to float around in the lake for ~80 mins. Future courses include Advanced and Night Snorkel. Well worth it! You're in Spring Lake! @themeadowscenter
Not much left. Don't waste your time at what they call an aquarium. I've seen better in a doctor's office. The glass-bottom boats are the only significant thing remaining. Depressing if you've been there years ago, but still a good experience for kids.
Amazing boat ride with a clear underside glass so that you can see the fishes, turtles and other wildlife. Loved the extended boat tour which gives more time to look underwater and learn about the importance of conservation. The walking wetlands tour was also fun. It is definitely worth paying a visit.
There's something for all ages at the meadow's center. Of all the times I've taken the glassbottom boat tours, I learn and see something I havent before. As a local to San Marcos, I continue to share the knowledge of our most precious resource with anyone I can. I am thankful for what the meadows center has accomplished.
This place is amazing. It's very fun to try if you want to learn some history about the lake and area around. The tour guide we had was very knowledgeable which made the tour that much better. Seeing into the lake was so nice and very peaceful as well. If you have kids they will love it also. Plus they have a free mini aquarium with artifacts that have been found there. Would do it again if we're ever in that area.
Economical, nice, and educational. If you take the 30 minute tour it goes by quickly. The tour gives are very friendly and educated about the lake. Well l definitely be returning.
It's an incredible experience of nature and the history of of the nature surrounding that area.
All the Ms. Emmert class were excited of what they saw today and myself as a parent was exited as well . It was a great and beautiful day .
Tour guide very knowledgeable. Crystal clear waters.
A truly magical place to learn the magnificent history and critical ecological information of the San Marcos Springs and River. Ride the Glass Bottomed Boats for a look into the watery wonderland of the springs; the guides each have their own trivia tidbits they include in the tour so the ride is informative and freshly interesting every time!! Bonus: there's a live Texas Blind Salamander on display in their aquariums; a rare chance to see one of these elusive endangered creatures.
Not too long a drive, beautiful scenery. Guide was very knowledgeable. Boats and facilities extremely clean. Staff all nice & friendly. View from glass bottom boat breathtaking.
