Incredible Wines, great selection and service. By far, the best of Paso Robles
Great wines made with passion. The winemaker sources grapes from some of the best vineyards around. Always something new to try. Taste them all in town at the bar at Villa Creek restaurant if you want before you drive out.
The wines produced here by Chris Cherry are as wonderful as the environment they have created at their restaurant, Villa Creek.
Staff are cordial, but pushy like used-car salesmen and made me feel very uncomfortable. Tasting ($10) and wine ($45+) are expensive and overpriced. Each $10 tasting is only comped if you buy $270+ of wine (6 bottles). Unless you have money to burn, skip this one. You get far better taste and value at many nearby places.
Great wine and great atmosphere. One of my favorites in Paso. Chris, the winemaker, was super friendly and great to chat with.
This was our first tasting experience with an appointment-only cellar, so we were a little nervous. But it was great! Very relaxed, fun, and informative. Val was very kind and knowledgeable.
Loved this place, nice property, easy same day reservation set up and personal attention. Decor was lovely with oak walls. Garnacha was very very good.
We visited four wineries recently and this was by far the worst experience. The manager I guess or older lady that greeted us was rude from the start. We were starving and would had sandwiches to eat. They do say no food but originally it was because they didn't want people past the hour allotted. I assured them that we would have no problem eating a sandwich and tasting 6 wines within an hour. The story then changed too they didn't want it to compromise the wines. They didn't seem to have the same problem with the party of nine which I believe violates California guidelines eating burritos and Cheetos. Maybe I didn't realize that Granache and Cheetos were an excellent combination. The only positives were they do have nice friendly dogs on the property and two of the wines were good, too bad the employees are not as friendly. It was the only place we didn't purchase any wine or join the club but fortunately other experiences at Calcareous and HammerSky were great. Jada has great wines too but the tasting area isn t as nice.
Fantastic wine, beautiful tasting room/patio and the staff is both knowledgeable and really friendly. Definitely worth the trip!
This is one of the most diverse collections of wines from a winemaker, Cris Cherry, who's known to simply have one of the finest palates in the industry. His restaurant of the same name in downtown Paso is brilliant, as well. Don't miss the Garnacha and the High Road. His white wine is terrific, too.
