They DO NOT have an email address for contacting... You can only call them, and the services they provided through call were awful, long waiting time, and staffs are unprofessional and kinda rude.

Terrible institution. They should worry more about improving infrastructure and services instead of shoveling in more foreigners. Some of the dumbest people I've ever encountered I have met here at McMaster.

I've had my daughter at mac a few times... people are great here... it's always a long slow process but that's because they help a lot of people... a trip to the emergency room will take 4 to 8 hours but they will put you at ease and take care of you...thank you for everything Mac staff!

My children's school. We all love it.

My children's school. We all love it.
There are some issues about school administration and efficient use of technology. For example, the online course registration and their counseling systems give you this feeling like they want you to make mistakes so you can spend more time and money to correct it. We, even more strongly, got this feeling last year when we heard that Chinese language course teacher is financed by Chinese government and the teacher was a member of Chinese intelligence service. They cancelled the course.
The way to finance it was so cheap and the solution is immature!

Excellent environment and phenomenal fitness and wellness center that is currently under change due to current covid 19 and preparing for reopening when the Ontario government allows Schools to accept students when the pandemic is quelled.

I am a McMaster alumnus. I am appalled at the inhuman, boorish, shameful treatment afforded Dr. Peterson at his recent appearance at the university. That the university allowed such violent, fascist, and hateful behaviour to shut down legitimate, reasoned, academic debate is a foul stain on McMaster's reputation.

Excellent professors that care about the quality of education they provide. Engaging research and career opportunties and world class leaders in their respective fields. McMaster has a beautiful campus, tons of wildlife, and a well-established neighbourhood for students to thrive in. Although the city of Hamilton has been historically known as a steel manufacting city, there are countless intitatives (Entrepreneural, scientific, environmental, engineering) hosted both by the university and the community that show great potential in shaping the city's future.
Speaking as a science graduate, McMaster is home to world-class research in the fields of: Health care, Life Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences, and many more.

Great campus close that backs onto a nature reserve allowing for anyone to enjoy school and nature at the same time. Some residences are nicer than others. If you are accepted to Les Prince residence, it would be wiser to drop it and find a house off campus for cheaper and closer. Tons of libraries to allow for students to study unlike a lot of other universities.

Good learning environment for engineering, however does not fully prepare students for life after university. 'How to succeed after university' workshops are optional thru Oscarplus, they should be mandatory. A degree does not guarantee success; it is 100% up to the graduate to make their own success happen after university with diligent work habits and fostering growth through adversity

This university seems to find a new way to grab cash, which is enrolling as many international students as possible. Don't get me wrong, I'm an international student, but it doesn't mean I feel comfortable about them enrolling those international students without even selecting them.

There are no known negative effects of vaping. The 'second hand' vape has the same amount of nicotine as a tablespoon of tomatoes. Marijuana is one thing, but you should NOT ban vaping. Vaping literally saves lives. Do more research and I am certain you will reconsider this ban.

Terrible university. They take ages to analyze your submitted documents and finally give you a stupid reason to reject you, such as your school grades, even if you have a very high final exam average.

I love McMaster. I went to school here so I'm biased, but it acts like a great, giant, interconnected think tank. A lot of the faculties (in the upper years at least) end up taking courses where you meet different people. Engineers in psychology, science students working on sustainability with environmental science students, if you look for it McMaster supports an interdisciplinary approach to solving problems. It does have some faults, but so does every other university out there.

I school here. Beautiful campus, amazing places to see. Has a very serene vibe at night. Lots of greens and trees and nature overall. The academics is also on par with the best out there. Everything is well organized to meet the needs of both students and staff.

Great if you have rich parents and a car, and plan on taking something medical and/or engineering based. If you plan on going into any other field skip Mac. You will be completely ignored.

The buses in and out of mac are a nightmare. Bus after bus will pass you by because they are so jam packed.

Classes are over sized and taught by student teachers almost all the time. You will be lucky to meet your actual prof before midterms. They are too busy writing papers and doing research (all hail the glory of Mac) to actually teach.

Over priced in general. You are paying for the name on your diploma, not a great teaching experience when you go to mac.

11. Lively and cheering, many events year round
12. Warm welcoming, diverse, multicultural and social environment
13. Cooperative Alumni

Few not so best things about McMaster,

1. Bit expensive school (though my program (MENG) was pretty affordable)
2. Expensive parking
3. High selection criteria and more competition, you have to have a good academic history to get selected for this school
4. This school will really make you nostalgic to itself once you pass out from here (Hell yeah)

Overall very good experience at Mac and wouldn't trade my undergrad experience for another if I could. Like anywhere I guess you'll have to deal with staff that make you wonder how they got hired but those instances were very minimal for me. Overall McMaster is a wonderful university with a beautiful campus!

For a school of 20,000+ students, the main office of registrar, the financial office, the OSAP, ALL OF THEM only have 2 receptionists each. And of course, there are students who spend 15-30 minutes talking to each receptionist because they are having a problem of some sort. You can't start imagining the lineups.

Mohawk College has around 12,500 students, and their main office has 15 receptionists. Still not that great, but compared to McMaster... well you can't really compare Mohawk to McMaster cuz McMaster is not really worth comparing.

Sad institution opposed to free speech and respectful dialogue. Anti intellectual and oppressive to young minds striving and failing to understand the world around them. Shame on these small women and men that call themselves professors.
