Mckeel is a top school in Florida, based on objective testing. Ignore many of these reviews, the are written by people who thinks schools should cater to them. Life is tough and Mckeel pushes students so they are prepared for college and thus the real world. I feel sad for those who think Mckeel is tough on them, because the modern world is way harder and more competitive than ever.

The teachers are okay, but the administration doesn t care. The students would be happier if this school actually listened to their students. If I ve learned one thing here: follow instructions and keep to yourself if you don t want to get in trouble. Students who voice their opinion are usually called up to the office. Fix your administration.
They got rid of Mr Dill; nothing positive to say about this school.
McKeel Academy did a very wrong thing today. They acted like we were having a fire drill and used it to make it look like we were participating in the walk out. But the day before threatened us with a detention at minimum . They tried to cover it up saying it was a coincidence but we might be student but we are not dumb.
True dedication from staff who know how to excite students to learn and be their best.
I really dont want to go to this school even though i like sports and art i just want to go to a school that most of my friends go to and since i havent been here before i wont give it a 1 star even though i really want to but from all the reviews i can tell that this school is rather awful

I went to the McKeel schools for 6 years, going from South McKeel to McKeel Academy and I hated it. The school put so much weight on how the students performed that they neglected the students themselves. I understand that they are a relatively fine school but the last 5 of my 6 years were in an unsafe condition regarding a student. Not once did McKeel do anything other than move MY classes. The academics were good, rigorous that was, in theory, great for me but the teachers and admin were not passionate about their job and that in turn made my 6 years miserable along with many other students. They are not progressive or respectful, neither the staff or the students. The school was not well run or efficient in any way. I would not recommend this school to anyone.
We were there for a High School volleyball match. Seems like a nice campus and people were pleasant. Gym is small and parking is a bit of a problem.
This is a great school to be honest but there are a lot of rules so yea, that's why I'm giving 4 stars
I go here and tbh I don't like some teachers but it's what it is it is better then some schools they displine you to learn and yes the fines suck but it's whatever I deal with it just like everyone else it's a A+ school so we kinda are trying to get good Grades. You get to meet amazing people and some one the teachers care about you a lot some don't but all Ik that it's one one the best schools to go to!
I found that this school has teachers that intimdate students and make student feel like they aren't intelligent enough to be at Mckneel. But God Words says what so ever seed you sow in someone else life you will reap it. Rather it's a good seed or a bad seed. JESUS IS LORD!

This is my school and i m not rich at all and I m not a goody two shoes so you might want to watch what you say because I can come back to bite you. Like I just did.
Ok, ignore the positive commentary about this school. They don t push us to be the best they push us to our limit. I cannot even tell you the last time i had a decent sleep. The staff is rude, the teachers are hardly any help and the few teachers who actually try are under paid and many have been dismissed from the school for not punishing us enough for belts/uniform/classroom behavior enough. Last year a kid threatened to shoot up a school field trip and that child is still at mckeel. They covered up threats made against the school, they used a tragedy for their own personal gain. They locked several bathrooms so we now have to walk out of our way to use the restrooms so they can monitor our traffic. The clinic is disgusting, the bathrooms and hallways surrounding them smell like urine, bathroom doors don t lock properly, the ceiling tiles are stained with rat feces and they crawl all over that place. The cafeteria is also disgusting. I don t even trust the packaged foods, which are limited choices. We are not being trained for the real world, we are being forced to breathe in possibly toxic fumes from other people s bodies, being oppressed by an admin that abuses its power. The whole school is just badly run. I ve been to public school, several different ones and I ve never had a complaint about them. This place is insane. No exaggeration. Do NOT send your kids here.
Mckeel academy of technology is using the parkland shooting to only further their public image. How you may ask? By first threatening students with disciplinary action if they are to participate in the National School Walkout, but when seeing the opportunity of media coverage the school takes the opportunity to stage a fake fire drill and then pretending to be one of the schools who were planning to participate in the National School Walkout. This school forced students on all sides of the political spectrum to protest for gun control and when there was no media coverage they couldn t of cared less about the meaning of the protests and the walkout. This school only cares about its ability to be in the news not the movements behind why.
This is the best school I've ever been to, the staff actually try to help the students, people are nice

I am currently in this school and i have got to say that this is just a good school like any other school that has existed. It is not necessary to be rich to be in this school, it is the fact that the teachers there are trying help you get to success.

The school is just fantastic, it just is. It's got a HUGE campus. But I'm giving it a one star review because it's missing something. It needs a wall. The school is invaded my outsiders so I suggest you build a wall and make it HUGE!

Great school. It's very strict but that helps to structure students for the future. Definitely recommend it.
The best part of McKeel is leaving it. I am going to miss my favorite teachers and friends, but definitely will not miss the strict rules and stern admin.

I went to this school when it was still Seth mckeel middle when I went in to the 9th grade at Kathleen high that school turned in to an academy school.
I went to this school for middle school and I regret it. The school was very strict and didnt accept people for who they are. The school is full of rich people who are better known as goodie two shoes. I highly recommend that you drive across the street and enroll your child into Kathleen Senior High School where they will be accepted. This school is full of hate and negativity.
Don't send your kids here, all of the kids that go here are spoiled and think they're better than everyone, and the new grading policy is so stupid, this school puts enough stress on me and anyone that would go here.
