The food was as always excellent. The service could be improved upon.

Watched a hockey game with some friends, lovely wait staff and I always enjoy the free popcorn!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The restaurant has the best food and we loved our room. Great staff and service.
The rooms where very pleasant and did not look outdated at all. The restaurant as nice, although a bit pricey. The inn was in a beautiful location right near a park and a river which was pleasant to walk in.
Receptionist, was so helpful, she went out of her way, I wish I would have gotten her name, I was so sick & lost.
Friendly staff. Good food. Adequate rooms to sleep for the night. In other words, everything you require for an overnight stay.
We had dinner in the pub and found the food to be disappointing for the cost. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The burger was small and he received maybe 12 fries, all for $18.50. My pizza was supposed to have a thin crisp crust but turned out to be doughy with 4 small pieces for $16.00. We used to really enjoy coming here before attending the Upper Canada playhouse, but the focus seems to have changed. Now you pay alot more money but receive way less value. We won't be going back.
Decent food, large place. Lighting could be dimmed a bit at night, little too bright. Otherwise great service.
This is a small hostel in the middle of nowhere with pictorresque rooms. The world is nice and the service is fast. Try the French toast!
Service and food was great. Our waitress has a great sense of humour
Food is alittle expensive but good
Hospitality was great ....very friendly
Arrived around 2am with the boys (2yrs, 3yrs) and the wife after about 5hrs of driving and received discounted room. Room was clean, outside was clean. Slept great. 8 minutes from prehistoric park for kids next day. Night shift receptionist was great. No complaints, as it met our needs.
Great Canadian buffet. There is always turkey and stuffing. Every time I go, there are other foods. The dessert table is enormous!
The meeting rooms are good.
McIntosh Country Inn is always delightful to stay at...With a full service restaurant, as well as a sports bar...It offers something for everyone...The Sunday Buffet is absolutely outstanding!!! #mcintoshcountryinn
The place definitely wasn't bad and though I can't speak for the food, everything else was pretty neat. Clean room, pool. Only complaint is that the staff tried to play a game giving us a room with two double beds instead of the two queens we agreed on. To be fair we were charged for the doubles room. This would appear at first glance to be an innocent mistake, but for the sake of brevity, a few details make me doubt it was. Still, family slept well and the kids enjoyed the pool.
Good food, clean rooms and friendly staff! Stop here often!
Beautiful quiet place. The sole was bland and mushy for my taste. The rest of the meal, perfect, including the very pleasant staff. Spotless, well designed restroom, could use automatic faucets.
My wife is confined to crutches and a wheelchair due to an injury. We were told that the hotel was accessible but it is not the case.
Without help she would not have been able to get up the big ramp and through the two sets of heavy double doors (that do not have automatic openers.) And once we checked in we were told to go back through the double doors, down the ramp and to the far East side of the building, unless she was ok with "a couple stairs" (translates a flight of stairs).
The "accessible" entrance would have again been impossible for her to get through without help. No automatic doors, and to get through the doors we had to pull the wheelchair backwards or the lip at the bottom of the door frame would have dumped her out of the chair or been unpassable were she alone.
Not impressed to be honest. If you have mobility concerns this is not an ideal place.
Great staff and nice room! Pool was heated, weather was great so we had a really relaxing stay!
After reserving our room and making reservation for 2 queen size beds; we arrived to the hotel and got a tiny room with 2 double beds, and in the bathroom the tiles on the floor (the size of a toonie) were completely lifted. The floors were very dirty. We got switched to another room as I have a mobile infant and the lifting tile was not only dirty but also a huge choking hazard. The room we were switched to seemed fine, however as a result of the uncleanliness one of my family members ended up with a bladder infection from the jacuzzi tub in the establishment. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!
Nice place to stop and rest for the evening. Nothing super special, but clean and safe
Has everything to make you comfortable away from home, including an outdoor swimming pool.
Food was good, service was good. A little expensive, but good overall.
Food quality in the restaurant was good. Price is high and service was slow at lunch (kitchen not wait staff).
To be honest the inn and rooms are somewhat dated, but I was still impressed with how comfortable the beds were. Also the person who checked us in was just amazing and kind (we had come in late from a rough trip). She even gave us extra linens for our dog to lie on.
Comfortable place good service and friendly staff. The food was good with plenty of choices
Mac's tavern has a decent beer selection and the prices are reasonable. Good spot for a drink and a quick bite.
A good place to rest and fill your stomach. The rooms are clean, I have a good sleep when I stay here. The restaurant is good, the buffet on Saturday is where it's at though.
Fully wheelchair accessible. Main entrance ramp is a tad difficult to push up with a wheelchair but it's doable for sure. Wonderful staff and good food in the restaurant.
Went there for the Easter Buffet. Food was pretty good. All homemade desserts with were very tasty. They even had a guy making omelettes and crepes made to order. However the buffet area is pretty cramped, it was hard to maneuver around especially while it was busy. The seating area was very spacious, no complaints. The server was really friendly! She was a younger lady with glasses, she mentioned she had 2 sons and she talked with us a bit because we were there with our little girl. Overall it was a great experience. If the buffet area wasn't so cramped, I would have given the place 5 stars. The customer service experience from the server was exceptional.
nope would not give them my business again. several staff very crabby and rude. overcharged booked one room and wanted to charge me for two more. had my credit card so charged one room that was not used and I did not book. Wedding party probably booked a good twenty or more rooms and paid for buffet on sunday morning. Dropped lots of money there and still insisted I pay for a room that I did not book. I guess a Inn that size is not interested in returning business. I will tell everyone not to stay there. Sorry but it was lousy.
Great food, Philly Beef, Fish & Chips and Baby Beef Liver all served by an awesome server named Wendy
Very nice atmoshpere in the Mac's lounge. Service was fantastic. The food was okay quality, but make for a nice lunch out with family.
This is a quaint small town travel lodge. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, the room we stayed in was a moisture trap which made trying to sleep rather uncomfortable. While this experience is not a deterrent from staying at the McIntosh the next time we are in Upper Canada, I would most definitely be sure to inquire about the rooms in advance.
The McIntosh is a great place to stay if you're in Morrisburg for the day or travelling through off highway 401. The hotel is clean, beds are comfortable and the staff are very accommodating.
Friday and Saturday night buffets are legendary.
Food is good...good prices and I'm picky....roast turkey or roast beef
Food was good. Portions were a bit strange...one person got a lot of fries...one got hardly any.
Very cozy , had nice pool and hot tub plus another hot tub in basement as well as sauna
We had nachos and they were over baked and the edges burnt
Had dinner in restaurant. Best place to eat in morrisburg. If you want a sit down meal.
Large suite for family room. Had lots of towels, blankets, pull out couch, fridge, restaurant ( over priced), pub, pool, close to town to pick up essentials. Quiet.
I have stayed there on my route for the past 5 years. Very nice spot.
Great lunch on the patio. Beer was cold, flat bread delish. Welcome back.
Simple but complete hotel. Has great food, comfy beds and lovely staff.
Amazing. The staff went over and beyond for us. We were a total of 8, two of us are anaphylactic to shellfish. They made sure our food was safe and even put us in a private room for supper due to the shellfish in the open buffet. AMAZING. I ve never been treated that well by hotel staff.. ever!!!! Totally recommend! (Rooms are spotless, friendly staff, great food)
Very disappointed to say the least.
The entire hotel was extremely dated and in need of renovation.
Room not cleaned properly.
Food in the restaurant was good
Rooms were quiet comfortable and clean despite the decor being somewhat dated, though it oddly added to its charm. Staff were always available and quite friendly.
Standard pub fare at the connected restaurant, rooms clean, pool looks fun.
Had the lunch buffet and it was pretty good! Interesting and tasty take on French Toast (blasted with cinnamon sugar), that and some tasty homefries is pretty much all I had!
Stopped by the restaurant for lunch with my grandmother and father. It was quiet and pleasant with a varried menu. The food game quickly and was delicious. The only thing that could have been better was if our drinks were refreshed a little quicker but it was otherwise quite nice.
Service was polite the one thing we were placed on the other side of tree and didn't notice us sitting there
Just finished a 2 night mid-week stay with my husband and 2 children. (11month old and 2.5 year old) the rooms were clean thought a little dated. But the beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was great. The outdoor pool was nice, clean and warm. The kids loved it! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The whole experience was perfect and we'd gladly stay there again!
Dated but conveniently situated Inn, close to Upper Canada Village. It has a restaurant and a broad parking lot.
Price advertised and actual were different upon booking. Room smelled musty. The mattress was so soft (or used) you sank into a hole along with very cheap sponge filled chunky pillows made for a long night. Lastly there is an issue as to where they placed the towel racks is in the path of the bathroom doorway. You hit it with your shoulder or head (depending how tall or short you are) . Although I did like the large refrigerator in the room.
Great place for meetings. Service is always excellent.
clean rooms, friendly staff. Great service. Restaurant has good down home cooking and lots of cold beer. Only downside which is not the fault of the hotel is the smell from a nearby chicken farm? If you are in the area this is the place to stay.
Nice quiet hotel and very convenient for Upper Canada Village
Always very nice service and I love how they welcome dogs!
The last time I visited this restaurant was 7 years ago and at that time the food was poor. Visited it again last night with my husbands family for dinner and although the service was good the food was terrible. We will never try this restaurant again.
Staff was nice. Bed was comfortable. Room was quite. I will definitely stay here again. Did not try the restaurant this time but will next time.
