I never got over the thing with the 3 single beds in the room, but otherwise the hotel is really ok. Easy to reach on foot from the city, very nice staff. The rooms are also well equipped and the beds are comfortable. Luckily you can push them together ...

Great hotel. Management is excellent. Breakfast was first class. Book direct with the hotel for best service. Cant recommend it strongly enough. I will use in future when in Dublin. Close to Google, passport office.

Fine hotel overall pretty clean with some weird quirks, like hairdryer in desk drawer and not removable. You have to stand at the desk to dry your hair...this appears to be on purpose. Biggest issue is that they advertise air-conditioning and they do not have it in more than half of their rooms. Small fans are offered to cool you off on hot evenings....

I found the hotel to be very poor. There was two broken handles in the room, a coffee machine but no cups, milk or spoons, the wifi was terrible (clocked it at 0.1MB at 6 o clock) essentially useless, a fire alarm went off in error at 6.20 in the am (not a wake up call I would have wanted) and not hot water for a shower when I got up.
On the plus side the staff were lovely.
As a person that stays in Dublin once a week for work i definitely wont be using this hotel again.

So far, so good! Some things take a bit of getting used to if, like me, you're from the States. Excellent service and impressive breakfast spread. The on-site brewpub is excellent. Definitely recommend!

We were disappointed to find the lovely bar closed at 10pm on a Friday night. Definitely a first for me in an Irish hotel. We were looking forward to relaxing with a drink there after dinner but alas, no. The hotel was comfortable and clean but perhaps lacked any ambiance or character and was a tad bland.

Beautiful, 5 star all the way from the room to the service, ability to check in early after a 24 hour flight for Australia was great and all the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful

Every time I'm in Dublin, I stay here overnight. The hotel really has a lot of charm. The Air Coach has a stop right in front of the hotel and therefore the hotel can be reached very well and directly from the airport.

This was a great find. Conveniently located nesr Barrow St Dart station / Grand Canal Dock, this iis a modern comfortable hotel. Good coffee dock for a lite bite or a late bite. Room warm and comfortable.. nice and quiet (no heavy traffic trundling under your window.) Slept exceedingly well. Great value full Irish & buffet breakfast. All piping hot. Lovely selection of smoothies , fruit salids etc as well. Pancake making machien an added bonus. Best value we have had in a Dublin hotel for a long time.

It's a simple and expensive hotel for the service they offer. It's lucky location as in the neighborhood there are all tech companies and you are walking distance, but rooms design and service didn't change at all in the past 7 years. It's a hell money they have earned as the hotel is mainly fully booked weeks in advance.
The only good thing is they have an Irish pub and restaurant in it.

Had a nice experience at the Grand Canal Hotel. Room was clean and with all facilities you'd expect, service was good and the location of the hotel is great, particularly if you're doing business in the local Docks area: Google's office on Barrow St. is just a 1 minute walk away. Also, there are plenty of convenience stores nearby.

Free parking for people booking directly with the hotel is a great bonus too.

Small, nice hotel with a good breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast was always set up quite late, so that early risers could not draw from the full selection. The hotel is quite well located.
In a few meters there is a bus stop and several shops and restaurants. The city is also within walking distance, but you shouldn't be "lazy".

The rooms were neat and clean. The room was equipped with two single beds, a bathroom with shower and toilet.
A kettle was available for use.

If you are attending Bord Gais or Aviva. Or just visiting. The Grand Canal is a must. Ideally Located to walk to both venues for shows & rugby games. Fast pace 10 minutes. Slow 15 to 20.
A first class welcome from Angelina & her wonderful Polish colleague who made us feel right at home. Very informative. Bedroom 406 lovely and quiet. Our stay 28th April 2018. Water. Tea coffee. Comfy bed. Orla Kiely toiletries. Bath & shower. Spotless. Breakfast was the best we have had in Dublin. Freshly made for you. Coffee tea to go. Such a good morning welcome from Thair a lovely young man. Definately would highly recommend The Grand Hotel for the travellers at home and abroad. For the show goers. Game goers too. Well done to all. We so enjoyed. Thank you. Susan (Roe) Morton.

Great hotel! neat rooms. We stayed here for 3 nights and every day our room was cleaned to perfection. The Rituals soap was a nice detail, as well as the usb ports next to the bed, Netflix on the TV and the air con. Everything was within walking distance and the bus connection was good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel with modern room layout which I like, although would have preferred a walk in shower. Bed was huge and really comfortable. Wi-Fi (which is a modern day essential for me) was free and ok.
Service and food in the bar were great.
Its about a 20 minute walk from the town centre, which was fine for us, but might be too far for some.

I went to the Grand Canal Hotel as part of a 3 day stay. The hotel is well located (10 minutes walk from the center of Dublin, 5 minutes from the Aviva Stadium), the rooms are well appointed, provided and very nice (a cozy bed is always a plus). Regarding the service it is perfect in the agreement that I did not have to face particular problems.
