Everybody was rude. The Allegiant desk woman was a B#$@H totally not my favorite airport by far.
I travel quite a bit and this is a pretty good airport option to connect the east and west states. It is also a great alternative to Los Angeles Airport if you can avoid that place. The terminal is open and airy and there are many food options, including some local Vegas restaurants which add charm and variety. Plus who doesn't want to gamble whole they wait for their plane?! I once saw a woman win $100,000 while waiting for her plane!
Clean and easy to get through. Not all restaurants were available
For an International airport they just never quite have it together. Very few ticket agents, wheelchair attendants are few and far between, construction so you have to double back further than starting point. Rent a car shuttle drop off and pick up change on a daily basis.
We were only in the Southwest terminal, but it seemed clean and had plenty of charging ports for electronics. Bathrooms were maintained as well.
Great convenient airport. With all their beautiful remodel you now have to watch signs closely.
Prefer this airport over sea tac. Way easier to navigate.
Such a large airport - on a grand scale. Very impressive. The whole place is very well organised and run nicely. It's just too damn big! Why have so much space between everything. Including the floor and ceilings! Still, a great experience here.
Its quite good no problem Chek in or anything else
Very easy airport as an ARRIVAL...but you definitely need to allow at LEAST 2 hours to get through TSA as a departure. Don't get me started if you're flying Southwest with a baby. Everyone thinks they have to go through the ultra long line for a paper boarding pass (apparently nobody wants to get their own through the very quick and easy kiosk). We stood in line right at an hour and a half to get a lap ticket for my 7 month old granddaughter!
Arrive early or you may very well miss your flight!
Airport is fairly big customs to exit airport could have been quicker took over an hour in the queue unfortunately, not great especially after a long haul flight. But on the whole is a good airport and fair few choices for places to eat and spend some time. Taxis are readily available but defo cheaper to pre-book transfers or I would highly recommend Uber as the taxi drivers are known for taking longer routes to and from the airport. My Uber worked out to be 3 times cheaper !!!!
I've flown in a couple of times and had a good experience. Nice airport.
A quiet and clean airport. Also, I was surprised seeing slot machines inside the airport, then again it's Vegas so... yeah.
Right from the airport you feel the Vegas vibe. As soon as I entered the airport, there was loud club music inside which sets you up for the party mood right away. Also they have slot machines at the airport so you can try your luck as soon as you land or before you are about to take off and say goodbye to Vegas. They have some nice eateries and high end shops at the airport.
Went pretty smoothly..surprised it wasn't very crowded either on/after Christmas.
Slots to play while you wait! Lots of vending machines also
Spacious, kept everything flowing. Moved thru security quickly and with no problems. Several checkpoints open to expedite the process
Great way to fly assisting gentleman was very polite and respectable. His name. Was Myles i believe he's a manager just promoted!!# you need more men like Him !!
Not so busy and everybody is taking the nessassary extra precautions
Things in the Airport are starting to open up again.
Traveled through this airport to and from Phoenix on Southwest Airlines in December 1996.
Its Vegas.
Surprisingly I expected it to be more grand. I was also surprised to see historical records of how the airport came to be in the area upstairs.
Women in the workplace.
Plane design
Longest flight.
Wonderful History
Probably my favorite .
Airport waiting.
Not much seating, dirty and outdated areas. Employees and business owners were nice.
We ate at the shake shack. 20 min wait in line. Again not many areas to sit especially with 50% seating closed in waiting area.
Airport was easy to get through. Ofcourse the airline security bag check and personal space invasion area is always NOT FUN . They never smile, not very polite and act like your trying to sneak something through. Pretty soon they will have us down to our under garments while hearding us through like cattle and scanning us with electromagnetic device. Haha
We flew on Spirit as it was the only reasonable time to fly out under $500 a ticket. Pass on that if you get a chance.
Somehow they got the green light to fill every single seat on the plane. While charging a la cart. And they mean it. $125 just for a ticket.+ $25 for each seat +$41 for a checked bag or $51 for a carry on. Yup you heard that right! +Charge for Water, and probably the cup and ice.
Also while flying in a packed sardine can from Vegas we got to enjoy all the hungover passengers as well as the newly drunk who didn't want to wear masks or wear them properly.
Dont fly Spirit unless you dont care.
Sorry not sorry. It's for a certain type of flyers.
Due to COVID19, many stores were closed and there were not many options for food.
This is a huge airport! But the Southwest employees are very nice!
It was very past defrtsher. Very convenient.
It's very good parking Big end free
This airport is probably my favorite out of all airports I've been in. Not only do they have a large variety of food and merchandise vendors, you can play slots all the way up to boarding time. And probably the best of all, they have smoking rooms on every concourse. I know the non-smokers won't find this appealing but, for us smokers, it's nice to be treated like real people and not be kicked outside in the cold, rain or incredibly hot temps in the summer.
I live in Vegas and my post may therefore be biased. That said, I love this airport. Despite it being one of the busier airports in the US, it is always easy to get through security, food options are plentiful, and there are plenty of early and late flights to suit every schedule and almost every destination is within easy reach. Luggage comes out pretty quickly unless traveling during peak times. Southwest is my preferred airline, and they have a strong presence here.
That said, there are short-term inconveniences during the pandemic. Most shops are closed, food options are severely curtailed, and the C gates are undergoing major renovations. Not a reason to ding the airport...just an unfortunate consequence of the world we currently live in.
Not so busy but still took awhile to get my luggage.
My favorite airport of all time. The moment you get off the plane and see the slots and drink stands . You know you've arrived in adult heaven. Lots to offer here and friendly and knowledgeable staff everywhere. Food is excellent. The shopping is terrific. The airport is super clean and easy to get around. Whether you fly in, fly out or have a lay over. Vegas baby
The experience was great! I tip my hat to the TSA crew.
Always too confusing I am Not a fan of the airport.
Leaving at 8 on. Sunday fromm AA. The airport was very efficient. There really weren't any lines.
Nice airport but please stop charging so much money to use the baggage carts it s ridiculous!!!
This is the best airport i have ever been to in my life. I had a 10 hour layover at McCarran when I was 17 and it was a blast. The TSA here were outstanding to me. It s so glitzy and high end. Of course that was all nice but get this: There are designated places to smoke inside the terminals. Insane. I love LAS with all my heart.
McCarran was quiet, not many people anywhere.
No-touch check-in.
Masks are required everywhere.
Everything was very clean.
Not all of the business were open for business after covid 19.
Only Coke products are sold there.
The walk from the entrance to TSA was too long in Terminal 1 (American Airlines) if you are coming to this airport I suggest traveling on Southwest. It took 45 mins from the entrance to the gate and there was no line in TSA checkpoint
Lack of working and any moving sidewalks which is made worse by how big the airport is. If you are late for a flight that is in another terminal you will have trouble making it in time. You will also have trouble if you are looking for food as there are only 2 options at terminal a and the closest restaurant is a mile away.
TRASH AIRPORT FOR LAS VEGAS
DO BETTER
Nice airport, ease to get around, close to strip, pleasant staff, relaxed atmosphere, restrooms cleaning staff active. Enjoy the slots while waiting. Charging areas.
Its not bad. Casino slots are closed. Lots of shops still closed. But its clean
Decent airport... dated, but slots in the terminals and Las Vegas - esque music playing... messages from local Las Vegas bands like Imagine Dragons, of course standards by Frank and other LV acts, and songs about LV, like Sin City by AC/DC. Port o Subs in Terminal B is a good option for food, philly cheese steak place nearby too.
Different variety of restaurants and slot machines but airport around
The airport is nice, surprisingly many more stores and restaurants were open compared to when I was there last.
Airport was very easy to navigate through, no long lines
Too much remodeling and the signs could be put in better places and direct people plus staff are not worried about anyone who doesn't know where they are going or notice
No social distancing every one acts like its pre covid
Such a nice airport! its very expensive, but its not surprising considering it's in Las Vegas.
Flying into the McCarran International Airport for the first time was an easy and simple experience. It's a large enough airport to get you where you need to go but not too large where you need to ask directions to get to your terminal/gate. The slot machines around some of the gates are a nice touch and remind you that you've landed in Las Vegas. The process of taking the shuttle to the rental car agencies was quick and returning the car was as easy as following the designated signs along the highway near the airport. I would fly into McCarran Airport again.
My experience was great. My mom is disabled and they took very good care of ud.
Leaving at 8 on. Sunday fromm AA. The airport was very efficient. There really weren't any lines.
Easy to find way around. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff
TSA was quick. And the signs are pretty clear so you don't get lost.
Staff at McCarran doing thier part to keep everyone safe. Thanks to all workers in all trades.
Nice... All covid 19... Regulations in place.. peeps all complying...
No curbside check in and I don't get it. It was s big inconvenience. The workers were nice and the lines moved quickly.
Long as your on time you don't have to worry about major lines
It was great, very fast baggage claim, apprehending our boarding passes and even taking off. Overall it was a very nice experience as far as airplanes go
Mcarren is great as always but today was unique. An RV taller than 9'6'' plowed through the structure. The driver and passenger were apprehended by Metro and the damage was a lot.
The tsa line was closed today 10/21/2020. The check-in was just maybe 5 minutes. SWA boarding in groups of 10. One at a time through the gate. Still pretty fast. No middle seats could be taken (unless families). That was nice.
Always one of my favorite airports.
Very busy but during pandemic slowed down for a few months but is picking up again.
Very clean and well maintained terminal as well as the service of the airport employees. From the custodial cleaners, TSA, Ticket Counter and gate agents to security directing traffic is on track.
Usually always clean, nothing bad to say about the airport itself.
14 November, Saturday.
LVN, McCarran airport is one of the best in the top 3 in U.S America.
Got us where we needed to go, but overall the staff members are so rude. We went to security for the first time and they not once gave us clear directions. What threw me off the most was how they handled our items especially snatching my moms small Fanny pack and literally emptying out all of her change in a bucket because it was too much change .
long corridors with no conveyer walkways and lots of construction going on. most restaurants closed on a Saturday afternoon.
Eh. The selection in things to do during layover or pre boarding is nice.
I like that they have like 5 lanes to check in for TSA.
Love the atmosphere the food the slot machines especially
This airport was cool. It's definitely a quick preview of Vegas when you hop off the plane. They have slot machines and souvenir shops. It was cool, the plane was on time and got us home about an hour early. Their united plane had TV, the one I took there from jersey didn't. No complaints on the airport, in all I do recommend this airport for your traveling and flying needs.
The airport was okay. I was kind of disappointed to not find more places with different cuisines. Maybe I was in a part of the airport that did not have it. Would have been nice to have texmex or chinese food. Maybe chipotle or qdoba would have been nice. Only found a very so-so place called 360
Good trip felt safe and comfortable. No mask no trip like that.
Close to the Strip which is very convenient. Transportation signs are well marked. There are trams to take you to your terminal. Wifi was good. Food selection was ok.
Everything was being remodeled. Hardly anything open. That could have been open even with the Covid pandemic.. we are all much closer sitting in a plane then spread out social distancing throughout the whole huge airport people traveling still wanna spend money on merchandise weather for themselves or souvenirs for others
I've been all over the world, and I've been to a lot of airports. But there's nothing like McCarran International. Here are some photos of the Starbucks right inside in front of the TSA pre-check, which is all I did on this trip I did not travel anywhere. Just dropping girl off so she can get somewhere. That part. I'm The Las Vegas Gold Picker Ya hear me
The long walks between gates could definitely use moving walkways. Outside of that it's a cool airport to catch a layover in.
- I love it not some complicated like Mpls Airport.
- Very open Spaces & many things to in the Airport while waiting.
- The Airport is perfect Location it few mils from the Vegas Strip & the Max u will pay from the Airport to any Hotel like $15 using Lyft .
- the car rental easy too ..
- Maybe not too Big but it s Amazing ,Fast & Fun .
Nice, clean n well-maintained air port, lots of shops are there if u have a long layover, nice place to roam around also,as it's a tourist air port u can find shared transport very fast ...
Look it's not as bad as LAX but considering three thing was built with our tax dollars you'd think it'd do a little better.
Cool airport. Definitely would like to go through again
It's getting very smelly in A terminal. To paint a word picture, it kinda smells like a house built in the early 70s that had animals
The lines at the TSA were very long. I heard that some services were down. This is a very important airport with not a back up plan ?
Very slow services at the Volaris station. Almost 2 hours waiting with a senior in a weelchair..
I understand that is very economic to flight with them but the service was very upsetting. They expect everyone to have a cell phone to do all the work on your own phone. Many seniors do not know how to navigate the internet.
Nice aiport. Relativity clean, well upkept(currently being updated), lots of food choices, and plenty of things to look at to keep you busy. Just don't play the slots unless you just can't wait till in town or just passing through for fun because their payout spread is terrible because they know your stuck there unlike the casino's that want to keep you there.
Pretty good airport with decent routes, serving multiple lots of airports in the US as-well as some other countries. The amount of shops and choice of where to eat we re pretty good as well. The TSA was pretty slow so that s one negative about it.
