In particular ask for Ian Lee, he is an ex-chairman of the Portsmouth property association and there is probably nothing he doesnt know about buildings/construction in Portsmouth!
I booked a homebuyers survey with this company and was promised a three week turn around. After a week of not hearing from them i phoned to chase this, to find out it would be more like a five week turn around.
This has delayed the buying process because McAndrew Martin were unable to provide accurate timescales therefore wasting a week of our time and money. I would not recommend them for a homebuyers survey!
Very, very expensive for an extremely poor service. As soon as they got their hands on my money Ian just didn t bother responding to my calls and emails any more. Very slow (1x full week) to write up a single point report that any builder could have done in a forenoon. I had to report them to RICS in the end as it was a truly terrible experience. I am utterly unimpressed and will not be using these amateurs again.
Highly recommend McAndrew Martin, very quick turn around and very efficient staff.
