I did not want to put this in this forum. but later I thought that every patient's experience counts when it comes to decide on the treatment of your loved ones. When it comes to identify a doctor, there are good doctors, there are bad doctors...then comes the ones with experience but no empathy.

I had brought my dad to Bangalore for treatment and first I took him to a cardiologist. The doctor immediately referred my dad to the Nephrologist Dr Rammohan Sripad Bhat after seeing an elevated Creatinine level. The start was satisfactory with Dr Bhat, and this continued for another couple of visits until it was known to the doctor that my dad will not be here for long and would be moving back to his native place. Gradually I also realized that the treatment was not working as expected and his Creatinine level was only increasing, but we waited patiently and left everything for Dr Bhat to take care.

The return date of my dad was finalized and we I had taken my dad to Dr Rammohan Bhat for a follow up visit with all the prescribed test reports. When I came out of his chamber, I noticed that a medicine dose was wrongly prescribed and had to get back to him for correction. The staff outside who use to take details and maintain records clearly told me that they lost my father s records and they did not make entry that day (22-Feb-2021). I was surprised but did not react thinking that was our last visit to the hospital.

The major shock I got when my dad started experiencing some BP and Cardio related issues and local doctor asked as why the BP and one important Cardio medicines were stopped. We then checked the prescription and realized that those medications were not mentioned (thanks for the staff to lose the entire data and thanks to the doctor for ignoring such important factors). I tried contacting the hospital and the secretary initially agreed to connect me to the doctor, but later I tried minimum 20 times and every time somebody picks up the phone and disconnects. I was horrified as I was not in a situation to visit the hospital physically. Finally I could manage to connect with one intern (got the number from some sources) who works with Dr Bhat and he conveyed an apology message from DR Bhat and also suggested to continue those missed medicines, with some reasons for stopping them which he never explained during our visit. Finally, I visited the hospital after a couple of days and got the prescription corrected through his assistant. Since it was an unpaid visit, Dr Bhat did not bother to show some courtesy to explain things directly to me for which he had apologized through a WhatsApp message via his intern (Dr Jason) a couple of days back.

My dad went through some of the important tests a month later which were prescribed by Dr Rammohan Bhat in our last visit. I was looking for a video consultation with Bhat, which he did not have, but got his number from his secretary when I called the hospital. He initially responded to my message and also mentioned that he could send me a VC link if I wanted. He did ask if we had contacted any Nephrologist locally, for which I had informed him that we wanted to take his opinion on the test reports for the lab investigations he had suggested. I shared all the reports through WhatsApp (21-April-2021) and requested for a consultation link or his suggestion on the test reports. It s more than a month now and he never bothered to respond to that such arrogance and ignorance.

Based on my personal experience with many doctors in numerous occasions, I can say that doctors do not cure a patient with only medications it is also with their approach and behavior towards the patient. Such arrogance and ignorance by any doctor show their true quality and one should choose wisely when we decide treatment for our loved ones.

This has been one of my worst experience and I regret for wasting 3 months for my dad s treatment. I could have been more considerate before making my decision for my dad s treatment and should not have only relied on the referral by another doctor.

The worst money minded hospital you can come across. They force you to take 5 day packages even if you Don t need it and then they discharge you in 2 days.

They first enquire if you have medical insurance or not and then their billing starts. Please don t disclose your insurance limit or else they will try to bill for the entire sum insured, they did that to me.

Ward nurses are all freshers and lack any experience whatsoever, they forget to give patients medications on time and this was experienced by a lot of other patients in our ward.

Note: The Doctors are really good and you need to only visit this hospital for them. The rest is a total nightmare. The management acts like they are doing you a favour by admitting you.

Please stay away from this hospital because they are many good ones out there. From my personal experience.
