I have been here a couple of times. I loved their spinach salad with chicken. The drinks for me have been disappointing in particular the mazapan one. The mazapan is always on the bottom. It is not kid friendly. I have received stares from what I can only gather are childless students when I have my toddler with me and he starts acting up. Parking is extremely limited. They are very sales driven and always try to sell you add on to your order. I ended up with a coffee drink for my son because the promotion was not explained correctly and I had to throw it out.

Maz Bar & Grill
Amazing coffee! Great seating, indoor and outdoor. Wi-Fi. And parking. Park in the lot that says Ebell Society parking only
I have been coming here for a little more than a year. Would not go anywhere else. The drinks are amazing and there is always somewhere to sit to do my work. I travel about 25 minutes each way to get here, but damn if its not worth it.
Pretty cool little secret spot. Running my business out of here would be pretty dorky but stopping for coffee would be alright. There's also a couple secret parking spots right behind the building.
5 stars all the way for this coffee shop! Constantly a great place to hang out, alone or with friends. I would definitely recommend and refer your services to everyone without any hesitation. I am truly impressed by how they handled their many customers politely with no hassles at all. A cool music selection and delicious foods.
First time visiting. Excellent breakfast sandwich. Light and healthy. I plan to visit as my as I can
I was glad and happy that I already have the energy to work because the coffee and the foods that I eat here were very good and yummy. The waiter was very good and accommodating towards me. Besides, he served my order properly and left the word to enjoy. The shop was also a very good place to chill and stay. It was clean, stylish, and modern. Worth it!
MAZ is a great place to get work done with even better coffee! The environment is very calm and clean, super relaxing. They even have a special all day access pass for the cafe for 10 dollars that includes a meeting room space, small coffee and printer usage. A Santa Ana hidden gem!
A perfect place to hang out, get some work done, and enjoy great drinks and food. It's a laid back atmosphere, with good ambient music, ample (and comfortable) seating, fast free wifi, and plenty of outlets. Perfect for a meeting, to work or study, or to meet up with friends. The drinks are innovative and good (although the signature drinks are a bit on the sweet side, but if that's your jam, they're great). The house coffee is very good. The food menu is small, but they're tasty little treats. I'll be spending a lot of time here.
Great coffee and cold frappe here. The atmosphere is good for a wifi hangout. Fresh brew cofee was worth the wait. My small. bagel ham & cheese sandwich was delivered with the coffee. The sandwich was done quickly. MAZ may be evolving. Food choices are okay but sparse, missing an array of baked goods for breakfast. There are nice deserts. It's a great beverage, snack, and dessert place. If you love one of their sandwiches, it'll be a great light breakfast/lunch place for you.
The coffee is good I got a coconut dolce cone leche it was a bit too sweet but pretty good. I also ordered an ice latte with almond milk no sweetner now that was amazing! The drinks are good but it is on the pricey side of coffee.
Dope coffee, dope people! Try the horchata latte and im dying to try the mazapan latte! Try the bagel sandwich with maz sauce. Its a game changer. Cool vibes here. Highly recommend!
I love their horchata & abuelita latte, reminds me of tierra Mia in LA, but different vibe, and taste!
This is a lovely quite spacious restaurant. We popped in for a quick coffee and was surprised by the full range of foods on the menu.
Lovely, spacious, off-the-beaten-path neighborhood coffee/food spot. Owner and staff are just great. The lunchtime business-meeting crowd is unlikely to overrun this place, which is a feature as far as I am concerned. Way less noisy than nearby Hidden House. My new favorite spot :)
Very nice place but they close too early at 6:30 M- Sat
Always greeted with a big smile, great food & delicious coffee!!
They have very nice spinach salad. Staff is very polite.
We enjoyed this place so much we had coffee every day of our trip. The coffee beans they sell are also delicious and well priced, we always bring some home with us. We ordered almond milk cappuccino and lattes, and they are perfect with the chill in the air. The passion fruit cheesecake is delicious, and I loved the smoothie- passion fruit and pineapple with homemade yogurt. Also a bonus for the friendly staff!
Such a great place... spacious, cool, comfortable to get work done, drinks are good too.
Always greeted with a big warm smile and rewarded with great food and much needed coffee
great coffee and great service. highly recommend the abuelita coffee
Came to grab some coffee befor work. Signs say that they open at 7am but waited till 7:10am and no one shwed at the door
What an awesome space! Very mellow, well designed and a versatile menu. This place will become your go to spot in no time.
Great spinach salad and coffee. Love the atmosphere.
Great place to get good coffee and get some work done. Good WiFi too. The place is off the beaten path but worth finding.
Chill vibe every time and perfect place for coworking space or to meet up with friends in Central OC and easy to get to. Must try the Maz latte / frappe with the turkey avocado wrap with Maz sauce!!! Delish!!! Woman owned so extra 2 thumbs up from me!
Great place near home for a coffee and work session.
Tasty Mexican-style coffee beverages and breakfast croissants.
Very good bibra. Good people. And coffee with milk is rich.
I have to say that I really think this place brings color to Santa Ana. It's bringing in music and talent to the community. Cool place for me to study as well =)
Reminds me of other coffee shop but only better. Should try this little gem of a place.Unique for a coffee shop. Very very good!
Wonderful shop. And super cute! Love the aesthetic, modern, cute and succulent themed. Also, very unique choices of lattes which is a huge bonus for me when going to different shops. To top it off owner and staff are friendly. A must visit.
My husband loves the Abuelita Latte. I enjoy the Mazapan Latte hot and iced. You get chunks of the peanuts which it textural
Really disappointing. I got the horchata and it basically tasted like milk with syrup. If that s how horchata is meant to taste, then nevermind
Great coffee and they have a really warm space! The owner, Senah, is super hospitable and tries to come up with a variety of drinks to change things up. They really try to work in some of the Latino/Chicano culture in Santa Ana in their food and drinks. I know they source a lot of their pastries from local bakers. They also have great events every month so come and check it out!
Moss Cafe is a place to go and chill and drink your hot or cold coffee best flavors ever
It was my first time there and it was an amazing experience I love the Mexican Hot Chocolate I got it was delicious thank you for the great customer service just needs to work on the timing it took a while to get our orders complete
Good food. Good staff. Good service. Yes, it's more expensive but you know going in. The entree, the side dish (large and enough for four), the salad, a dessert and a nice bottle of wine - easy to get to $300. But worth it.
Perfect for laptopping & spreading out indoor/outdoor. Good basic cafe bites, excellent horchata bevs & iced puehr tea.
Chill vibe every time and perfect place for coworking space or to meet up with friends in Central OC and easy to get to. Must try the Maz latte / frappe with the turkey avocado wrap with Maz sauce!!! Delish!!! Woman owned so extra 2 thumbs up from me!
Marzipan Latte was yummy! Nice little coffee, sweet in every way!
I love this coffee shop very much! The crew and manager were very professional and very kind on that day. They also serve drinks quickly and did their best to respond to all of their customer's needs. The overall service was very satisfying and the price was very affordable. I will be back for more drinks, guys! Thanks a lot!
great spot for coffee when you are in the big city. good music, fun art, super coffee, and yummy treats! excelent vibe here and unusual beverages. stop in at Maz! (named for the candy mazapan)
The maz frappe was so good. Great atmosphere and location as well. Thanks!
Been to this cafe a few times. Really enjoyed their neighborhood vibe and the selection of coffee, teas, fraps and pastries are awesome. If you have time to kill or grabbing somthing quick for the early morning, I highly recommend this spot.
Great environment to meet friends or work/study. Lots of tables, comfy and open, and the setting sun does not stream thru the window hallelujah. Note: Closes ~7ish and parking is mostly along the street since it's a true "neighborhood shop".
Hard to find parking, but delicious food and nice space!
Came here to do some studying. Found a great spot to sit at in the front area and was able to find a plug and connect to Wi-Fi easily. I started out with a Chai Tea latte which was pretty good and then I had a stroopwaffel which was just okay. Overall very busy spot and enjoyed my time here.
Just outside of Macy's on the upper level. I personally like the iced tea but they have all the usual items. Staff was quick but not friendly.
You are amazing, guys! Your coffee shop was so incredible and relaxing. I like the interior because it was so classy, and it seems like I am in old times. I also like your staves because they were so friendly and accommodating. For me, you are one of the best, guys. I hope you will continue serving your tasty coffee. Cheers for more customers!
Your coffee shop is the best place to relax and hang out with friends. I was so happy that I found your shop with the help of my friends. I thanked your staves for accommodating me nicely, and for serving my order on time. A big thanks to all f you! You deserve to be at the top list! You're highly recommended to everyone!
Yummy coffee, great comfy space, friendly, lively, soothing, and welcoming all at once
Best coffee and staff. Try the Mazapan latte goood vibes
Hidden House, who? Outdoor and indoor seating is available. Beautiful decor! There are many options for Latte lovers and candy lovers alike!
Great coffee drinks and staff. Check the new horchata coffee drink.
Super cute, a comfy YET modern aesthetic! The drinks and treats taste exactly as they look.
I was very impressed with this coffee shop. They have the best coffees that really satisfy and fit your taste. Everything they served was delicious. The crews were happy and nice to serve me as their avid customer. The place was perfect for dates and study outs. I ll always appreciate their kindness and authenticity. Thank you so much!
Great place I usually come here for my mazapan frappe
Love coming here to do homework and the drinks are delicious! Horchata latte
The mazapan iced drink is soooo good ive only had it once but i just found this spot. It has a nice outdoors area to sit and enjoy and the overall ambiance is beautiful. I havent tried their pastries yet but they look really good and im acutally planning on going next week for some and another mazapan iced drink. See you there!!
We popped in just for a coffee, but we couldn't resist the delicious homemade lemon cheesecake! Service was spot on. The staff members are very friendly and even helpful. They are so quick to respond. I think we'll be returning to try the other cakes and other flavors of coffee on offer! Thank you very much!
I hosted a weekend hackathon-style event at MAZ and it went spectacularly. The 28 participants enjoyed the space, the sandwiches, and the great coffee. Senah and her team were attentive and flexible, and very easy to deal with. If I lived in the area, I'd hang out here for sure. Recommended as a venue.
Fantastic coffee house with local flair and proud of Santa Ana's Latino heritage! I have never had an Horchata latte before and it was fabulous! Great staff, beautiful location!
This coffee shop was suggested by a friend from college whose son goes to school in the city. We're so happy she did it. A specialty coffee and either biscotti or a cookie were enjoyed by each of us. We are impressed at how well their order pickup process works and not much waiting space, but the crowdedness is a sign of their successful business. We're probably going back here!
Ordered their matcha with cinnamon iced and eas in for a surprise. Drink was refreshing and very inexpensive witha bagel and cream cheese. I like that they have breakfacombos for under 10 dollars which can include a bagel, croissants and with regular coffee. Any additional or specialty coffee is $2 more. Their interior decor is very modern with a green wall perfect for selfies. The pillows and succulents make it feel homey and welcoming. I do want to try their abuelita chocolate frappes and mazapan drinks.
Great service, return. The workers are cool, and with bright yellow colors and plenty of seating, the interior is really good! The coffee shop is really cool.
Incredible time this morning at this cafe. The Horchata is now my favorite coffee. Yup move over Starbucks...sorry it's not you...it's me... I've found another. Lol. The environment and energy in the place was awesome. Everyone mingling. This is my new go to place for now on. I highly recommend this place for your coffee fix or networking brainstorming spot. The owner is also very friendly and engaging with the customers which is always a cool thing. I'll be back For sure. Plus they accept the Dnero App!!
The staff was very friendly, given this was my first time here she recommended a drink and pastry. I tried the Maz drink hot and I loved it. I will be coming back soon.
I was there on Friday morning, while I was waiting for my drink one of the employees kept messing with her hair , she put it up on a ponytail and then I see her put one of her fingers in her ear. She didn t bother to wash her hands just went back to work like no big deal. The only good thing about this is she wasn t the one preparing my drink. I love the drinks from here. But after I saw this I don t know if I want to go back, so very disappointed
I had their horchata frappe, and it was definitely one of the best I've had! This place is up there with Cafe Calacas and Tierra Mia Coffee! It won't take long before this place becomes a regional and local favorite!
Cool decor, chill vibe, great horchata frappe! Can't wait to try the latte version ;-)
This place is amazing! I love coming here to study for my midterms and work on my homework. This place is friendly oriented, I recommend getting the lunch meal deal it's worth it. The owner is very friendly as well as the staff. The moment you walk inside you get a nice vibe from the creativity of the decorations. I would highly recommend anyone to try it out. They even have board games etc.....
The coffee is awesome and I love the people who work there besides my self. Lol
Small coffee venue with bug potential. Snuggled in a residential area of Santa Ana, this coffee house offers pastry treats and handcrafted coffee drinks. The one person cashier and barrista offer a slower pace, personal touch to your daily caffeine dose. I am not a sweet coffee drinker, but chanced one called The Abuelita and it was tasty. Of course I added an expresso shot to strengthen my fix and that complimented the homemade sweet empanada I added to my normal dark roast coffee, black as it gets daily routine. I think if they introduce a wider range of eats this place would expand their client base.
I'm so in love with the ambiance of this place. The cashier (I assume she's the owner) was also very nice. I've had their marzipan frappe and cheesecake. They were really good. They close at 6pm though. I had to put it here because I did not realized they were close until 6:15 pm and the owner wasn't kicking me out. Would definitely stop by again when I go to Santa Ana.
