Wonderful place. They have saved my life 3 times when other hospitals either refused to help or couldn't. I can't recommend their cardiology group enough.
Parking is a challenge so give yourself enough time to enjoy the walk.
If you use the parking garage bring $5 CASH.

Dr Fox in neurosurgery, his nurse Stacy, and the entire team have went above and beyond for me. I cannot stress enough how amazing they have been. I recently had a spinal fusion and had to stay 4 days in the hospital. ALL of the staff was top notch, kind, and compassionate. Dr Fox is a wonderful human, an amazing surgeon, and he has the best team. I am a nurse and I couldn t be more impressed. I will recommend him over and over to anyone who asks! This was my third surgery (first by him)in a year and on day 5 of recovery I already feel better than I have I have in a long time. Thank you!

Neurosurgery Dr. Got me in my appointment quickly and thoroughly went over my issues. Quickly ordered further testing and we will proceed from there. Staff was very courteous and companionate. Further testing was set up to be done in the next couple of weeks. Campus is lovely and clean housekeeper passes through every little while to disinfect everything for the patients safety.

I love Mayo! Watch out for Dr. Stocchi. His department seems to be running a bait-n-switch. I was told, by Mayo, that my service would be $150. Then I got a bill for almost $3,000. Oops, they quoted the wrong procedure. I guess I should be grateful they didn't perform the wrong procedure. Now I'm told "sorry, this is my problem."

Mayo has one of the biggest and most recognized names in healthcare. With this being said, all of this is a great marketing tool to get people to seek treatment from a sub par Jacksonville team. I sought a second surgical opinion from Mayo Jax in early April. Was told I would be getting a call back. This call never came. I called again last week and was told again someone would be reaching out to me. Once again this call never came. Today I reached out and gave my information but before I could finish giving my information I was hung up on... I called immediately after and was told that all my information was reviewed and there was nothing Mayo can do for me. So you could have told me that a long time ago before I cancelled my surgeries... bravo Mayo bravo. Wish there was an option to give 0 stars because that s how you guys treated me the past few weeks. Go here if you want to do all the work and still get told there s no help that can be offered.

My mother is 80 years old, and has a plethora of s...

My mother is 80 years old, and has a plethora of serious medical issues, mostly resulting (in my humble opinion) from the literally DOZENS of prescription medications she s been given for 6 years, following a single lung transplant performed at Tampa General Hospital. She moved to St. Augustine 3.5 years ago and her medical care was transferred to Mayo. They have been pumping her full of pills ever since. Of course, I m aware that there are certain meds that she NEEDS. I.E., her anti-rejection drugs, among others. That being said, they are now changing her meds and dosages so fast that even they can t get it straight. But at this point, the most infuriating issue we as a family have, is this. She is now admitted to the ICU, again. (she s been admitted to this hospital no fewer than 6 times in the last 8 weeks, FOR THE SAME ISSUES) Fast forward to today, I once again took off work to drive my father up here (1.5 hours each way) , after calling to confirm that we could both visit her, only to be told that I cannot go up and see her, and that only the same person can visit for the length of her admission, and ONLY that person. This now makes 6 trips I ve made up with my father, to visit my mother, only to be flippantly told nope, only one of you can go up . Apparently it s more of a prison than a hospital. Furthermore, 2 of my sisters have now traveled thousands of miles from their homes, more than once now, to see their mother, only to be told nope, sorry
What a joke (just not a funny one)

Sad has a stroke and went to Mayo, after a week of being there They gave my father wrong meds and over doses him , he came out of it , but that was the day they were supposed to put feeding tube in his stomach, and they didn t that day because he was the day of overdose . He had only nose feeding tube from that point on , they were anxious to throw him out after 2 weeks , and they couldn t find him a rehab that would taking nose tube, so I went over social workers head (sandy) and found a place that was wonderful to my dad until his last days. I believe my dad would have made it through if Mayo didn t make so many mistakes with my dads life !
