I wish I read some r/v before applying for work at Medway Healthcare. Nobody at my interview, or during registration process had told me I needed 12 months experience as band5 when applying for nursing post. The HR took me through the More

I have worked at Mayday since 2013 and found the management to be incredibly helpful with my continued growth. As someone who is passionate in what they do, it's fantastic to work with likeminded people in a supported and proactive environment.
I am very happy working for Mayday Healthcare, almost four years as an Agency staff nurse. Noura who looks after my availability and books me shifts is knowlegeable, friendly, kind, really very good at her job and always sorts things out for me in a very professional manner. She definitely gets five stars from me. I have no complaints and would certainly recommend Mayday as a good company to work for.
Omg if i could give no stars i would i have been trying to register with this agency since February and still i have not a shift, they always loose your paperwork and then ask you to resend it, i had to keep calling them numerous times as i would never hear from them, absolute disgrace, dont even waste your time, i am a very experienced nursing assistant and i never got registered properly or ever even got a shift, and everytime you call they are full of apologies and promise to sort it out for you and they never do, so unprofessional.
Staff turnover is abnormally high there. My aunt wanted to register there, but gave up simply because according to a couple of employees there, the medical compliance officer Emma Marshall sabotages some employees. Some employees are being ignored on purpose by her and some of the candidates registration is being slowed down once again by her. Don't think my aunt would wait weeks to get registered just like her friend.
I am currently a registered general + mental health nurse working for Mayday Healthcare. I have worked for Mayday for many years now on a full time basis. I find my consultant Daniela Kempster (West Sussex team and private hospital)to be very efficient and she keeps my well busy with shifts. My other consultants for the West Sussex Team are also very good at making sure I am kept busy with work. As a nursing agency I find Mayday Healthcare to be precisioned and thorough. You have to meet the NMC and CQC requirements in order to practice with them which ensures that they are in accordance with the national requirements of Nursing practices. Hopefully there are many more happy years to come working for them.
I went there with all the paperwork only for them to tell me that I could not register. could they not have realised before getting me there? the woman was not nice.
guaranteed work, however they don't pay on time , short change in rates, not reliable to be paid when need to. different rates for different people. have to chase them every week for correct money to be paid.
I honestly don't know where to even begin! 4 months ago I was offered the job role as a "recruitment consultant", I went through and passed both the interview and a working day trial. I told them I would need a weeks notice period before I can begin, in the meantime I emailed them all the relevant information and documentation that was requested. Three days before I was supposed to start, I recieved a phone call from my recruiter telling me that four execuitive managers had "quit", and the company is currently not in the right position to take on new employees. I called the agency to confirm this, and to see if anything could be done (given that I had already submitted my resignation letter to my job). Inspite of this, I was mostly shocked at how rude the consultant I was speaking with was! They exhibited 0% sympathy for the predicament I was put in, it genuinely felt as if they were being incredibly dismissive of the fact that I was left unemployed, and after numerous times of explaining the job role I was offered, I was told that they couldn't find me anywhere on their system!!! Ohh and a month later, I found that this company was actually taking on new employees! Perhaps I was given a lucky break, if this is the way they treat potential employees - I honestly do not believe that this company treats their actual employees well!
Bottom line: A company with bad ethics, and very rude and unprofessional consultants!
Mayday have been the best Agency I have had the pleasure of both working for and then working with (Mayday providing services to my company I also worked for) since 2006. They got me employment in some of the best places on the planet, from Guernsey in the Channel Islands where I spent 8.5 yrs of the healthiest environment for my life so far, to Aberdeen in Scotland where they provided a working environment that not only was very supportive, but one that nurtured and valued my expertise and respected me as an Agency RMN. The London Mayday team responsible for me, headed by Tanya (David, Natalia, Rabiya and Emily) were nothing but exceptionally helpful. From organising one of the best accommodations I've stayed in, to organising my flights and travel arrangements to and from places of work, to dealing promptly with any concerns I had, be they work, accommodation or travel related. Mayday does provide the basic mandatory training as required for their continued registration from a CQC (England) and MWC (Scotland) perspective. I found that I had to provide my own self-directed professional development opportunities outside of Mayday, in order to comply and meet most of the pertinent NMC Revalidation requirements as a registered nurse. Overall, I will still choose Mayday as my preferred employer/provider of choice.
Very poor, they are no longer answering or returning phone calls. You go for three or more days without any bookings or communication from them nor simple updates. It s now worrying that they might just disappear with staff s payments. No one knows which days they are now operating. It s better the Agency just closes than waste people s time.
A very unreliable, unprofessional and rude bunch of people my wife has not been paid now for 2 weeks and has been chasing the manager for 2 weeks and they do not give 2 monkeys about their staff. From what i have heard this agency is to be avoided at all costs.
I am a registered nurse working in the South East, I have been well looked after by Daniela and Chris. I am offered shifts which they know I would be happy to cover. Knowing there is so much work available in other areas should I need it. I get paid every week on time. They are understanding if something unexpected happens and I have to change my plans. They have a good selection of nurses working for them for years to so you are part of a team of nurses covering shifts. I would recommend to this agency to any of my nurse friends. Trudy
I was dismissed over something minor. While I worked there I constantly heard staff telling nurses on the phone always about problems with delivery and not being paid on time. I worked there for a week and got paid 3 weeks later.
