I found Mathis Photography online and checked these reviews prior to inquiry of my photos. After I called Jim, I found him to be highly personable and he answered my questions without hesitation. When I met Jim, I instantly knew that my needs were going to be met.
I had recently lost my Father-in-law in October. He was a Retired US Air Force Pilot. While preparing for his funeral, we ran across so many different pictures that the family was commenting that one or another of them would each want to possess the pictures, after collecting them all, I decided what I would do would be to have copies made so everyone of the siblings could each get a copy of all the selections.
We had a Family Photo of 3 generations and all the offspring circa 1977. This photo was faded with age, discolored and UV Damaged. Jim was able to bring it back to life, with Vibrant Colors. A 1982 photo with my wife and her siblings had its colors fading into a Brownish Hue, again Jim did his magic and now it looks like it was recently taken. An official USAF photo In Dress Uniform (Black and White) with cracks and minor folds. Let me tell you now...Jim is a true artist He restored this photo to Like new, and then, I had him "Colorize" the photo. While I provided him the actual colors of Uniform and the MULTI Colored stripes of the military ribbons, This turned out better than I could have dreamed. Jim additionally colorized two additional photos of both my in-laws in their different Air Force Uniforms and finally colorizing a photo from 1962 with my wife and two sisters with their father. The color selection Jim made was indescribable, it brought my wife to tears.
While I am so happy that I was able to obtain the quality work I was expecting, I found the pricing to be well within what I thought it would be. I have since returned to obtain additional copies not once, not twice, but as of today, three times. I had E-mailed Jim to get more copies that the extended family will be getting for Christmas.

I brought in one of my husband s old family photos that was damaged. I picked it up after the restoration and it looks fantastic!! We will proudly display it in our home! I would HIGHLY recommend Mr. Mathis - he s a magician!
My husband brought in a picture from WWI in the original bubble frame. Both were in bad shape. The frame was repaired and the torn, water damaged photo was digitally repaired. We kept the original photo, but replaced it with the digitally repaired photo in the frame. It looks great!
Mathis did a great job on restoring my grandfather's WW1 era army portrait! Highly reccomend.
I was referred to Mr. Mathis through a friend. His quality, and speedy service did not disappoint. I had some old modeling photos of my mother I have cherished since I was a little girl. He brightened them up, and made them fresh looking without the minor flaws. He also resized them to make them easier for us to frame and display. My mom always had them hidden in her closet. I wish we would have used Mr. Mathis prior to her passing, so we could have finally properly displayed them. Thank you for this beautiful gift. We are excited to frame, and admire them! Jim did an outstanding job of restoring a very important photo to my grandmother and I. She took a photo with Johnny Cash over 50 years ago and it had a stain stretched vertically across the center of the picture. Jim not only restored the picture but he made it larger with a matte finish so that I could gift it to her for the holidays! I would 1000% recommend his services!
