Do you want to be MORE stressed than you are in your regular everyday life? Then go to this Massage Envy. They have absolutely horrible customer service. It's almost as if no one is trained at how to do their job. My MIL bought us massages for xmas under her account so we could go in at our convenience and get a massage. Massage envy claims that we need to pay an additional fee to transfer them to "our name". Who cares what name its under as long as they are paid, and they were, in advance. They also NEVER mentioned this extra fee to my MIL at the time of initial purchase. Getting a massage is supposed to be a relaxing experience but I would rather DIE than go to any Massage envy ever again. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!

Very poor customer service here at this location and this company alone is a scam.
Was a member for a month and cancelled my membership and they still took my my money which was stated if you cancel before your payment date you will not be charged. They still charged me eventhough I cancelled 2 weeks before date. Called and they confirmed that I did and told me I will receive it back, Then another Manager argued with me and stated I won t. I m getting the run around between two managers and still didn t receive my refund.
Please don t give this business service.

I was recommended to this place and I am glad I did not go, I was looking for a massage and a facial and as my first time trying to go there, I was told that I will get a callback and not only did I not get a callback I also lost a day trying to find something else available somewhere else waiting to have something booked and I called today only to find out that the appointment given to me for one service was also taken. Very disappointing for trying yo become a new client.

I tried to cancel my membership due to a hardship that occurred. The manager I spoke with was extremely rude and refused to cancel & even threatened to banned me from going to any massage envy's in the future. I would suggest go to a different location because they're very insensitive to unexpected problems that may occur.

Terrible customer service. No love for military service members or loyal customers. My husband was a loyal customer for well over a year. He's the one who recommended massage envy to me and the reason I had a membership myself. He froze his account when he was supposed to leave for boot camp in September but his departure was delayed until February. His account automatically unfroze shortly after he left and since the linked card expired at the same time, the company cancelled his account along with 9 months of credits (over$500) and there was nothing they could do to help us remedy the situation. I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of concern for their customers. Honestly I would have been happy with any effort to help us but they didn't even try. That's two loyal customers gone forever along with our referrals. To be clear this review was only for the oak Park location, I was pretty happy with the La grange location but given company policies and lack of flexibility,I wouldn't risk keeping a membership in the context of our new military life.

If I was able to leave zero stars, I would. I recently went to Massage Envy s River Forest/Oak Park location and could not have been more disappointed. I went in prepared for some much needed therapy and relaxation but instead I left there far more stressed out and upset. The massage was so bad that I ended the service after 10 minutes.After that, I was treated to sarcastic comments by the masseuse. Do not sign up for any of their service plans! THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME A REFUND! My stress level is now through the roof after my experience. I keep getting passed on from manager to manager, trying to get my money back. I work to hard to be robbed like this! Not a good company at all. No ethics.

My wife signed up for a lifetime contract which she was told was a for 12 months without auto-renewal. They have been billing us for two years now and will not cancel the contract; they always say they need a form filled out in person at certain times, then are unavailable, loose the form, etc. When I called to work this out they manager (Erica) refused to help and refused to give contact information for someone who could. These people talk a good game but they are crooks. Stay away!

pretty disappointed by the customer service or lack thereof.. new customer and got a bogo promotion they were running for a family member as a gift and never during any point did they mention needing a voucher. spoke to several associates and even the ones booking/confirming the appts failed to mention needing a voucher in order to redeem the promotion. paid twice for a service that was supposedly "free." manager Anita never returned my phone call either about the situation. poor customer service, negligent, and incompetent. they got their money so who cares, right?

TRASH!!!! The monthly discount "deal" is an absolute scam... There's no professionalism taking place at this location. Those that do meet quality standards end up quitting because of poor management. I'm beyond fed up with this place and can not wait till the day I end my subscription!

Omg amazing! One of the best things I have ever done! The woman who gave me my massage was really sweet, and attentive. She did not hold back on my deep tissue massage, which is exactly what I needed. Great job!

First issue: I went in yesterday to get a 60 minutes deep tissue massage at the River Forest/Oak Park location. When I originally booked my appoint I was advised the massage is only for 50 minutes but they charge you for the full hour. They explained that it's a 5 minutes consult when you come in and 5 minutes talk after your massage with therapist. Javi was my massage therapist, he didn't come for me until 4:43, therefore my massage should of been till 5:38. He ended at 5:30, when I questioned him, he showed me his tablet showing me it was 5:30. Advised him that he didn't come till 4:43. Javi just showed me his tablet again letting me know it was 5:30.

Second issue: While Javi was giving me the deep tissue massage, I did ask him to easy up on the pressure, he ignored my request which caused me to tense up because the pain was not bearable. I did advised one of the ladies upfront which she apologize. Needless to say, I will not be coming back nor will I recommend anyone to Massage Envy.

I was going to put up a 4 star review because the woman whom did my facial was very nice and informative. However, after getting home, I got eye irritation. My eye was watering the entire night and is still red and itchy. I had to call off of work today. If something on my face was harmful to the eyes I was not warned, and I do not know a lot about face products to expect this. I have no allergies so the process at this location must be flawed. I'm not blaming the estician as she may just be doing what she is told. Also, the woman whom rang up my facial attempted to sell me a membership, she asked me about 3 times and by last time I was annoyed. When getting any type of spa treatment, I think it is poor practice to ask more than once about buying anything additional. Again, she may be pressured by her manager not blaming the staff, but I will not be returning to massage envy anytime soon. I just hope eye heals fast so I can get back to work tomorrow.

I regret ever using message envy as a service. I have called 3 different times and talked to the manager at this specific location, she also works at other store as well. The last time we spoke she said she would cancel my account and that was over the phone.

I wanted to cancel my account because of a simple reason. I was not close enough to a location Not because of the service or the people working.

I have been charged 3 different times for $70.

Today is October 2nd 2020 and this will be my fourth time trying to cancel my service that I haven t used since spring.

I assure anyone reading this that yes the message is great but trying to cancel this service is not worth going in all together.

Front desk makes the whole process smooth and easy. I would like to thank the front desk for always being on top of their game- reminder calls for appointments, checking in and out is easy and just for being so friendly.
Love the massage therapists everyone I had was so great. Even though it feels great after every massage- after my 5th one I walked out of there feeling like I could turn my head 360 degrees. My neck just felt awesome! With being open late and weekends it give sooooo much flexibility. I just love this place!
