Nice interactive place for children where they can follow a trail whilst learning. There's a lot floors which can be accessed via a lift as well as the stairs.

There's a projector onto the ship that shows it "alive"

What can I say this place is awesome. The artefacts, the craft, the people. Fantastic. I've waited since 1982 when I had the Tele on all day to follow the raising of the Mary Rose so imagine my delight when my daughter treated me for my birthday.june 2018.

Our visit was suggested by my 13 year old son. I was not sure how interesting such a decayed lump of timber could be?
Well I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere in the museum, and the vast number of displays surrounding the multi level viewing galleries of the hull was fantastic.

Great to visit along with other dry-docked ships in the Portsmouth Historical Dockyards area. Get a real sense of history walking around and through the ship, lots to see as most decks and areas within are open.

Very good, impressive museum. Staff are very friendly and love to talk to you about ships so don't be shy. Lots of interactive bits for kids and the ship and display room are jaw dropping. Must see if you're in the area.

An incredible museum, very cleverly and accessibly laid out. My favourite parts were the trunks and their contents which are presented in a fascinating way that sparks the imagination. Well worth a visit for all ages and plan to spend a couple of hours taking it all in. Staff were friendly but not intrusive.

I last visited as part of a school trip back in the 1996! When the Mary Rose was under spray preservation.
WOW! I was amazed at how much has changed. The whole museum building is very impressive and the layout is very good with three floors built up around the Rose itself. Information and artefacts are plentiful with a lot on display. You come away feeling like you have learnt a lot. Excellent museum. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Animated characters showing life on board ship in Tudor England. Interesting displays of artefacts brought from the wreck and placed behind glass as displays. One of the most interesting ways they have conceived is to make the whole experience have a unique feel is the way you experience as though you are actually on board the vessel. On the highest floor the glass has been removed and you are able to smell the actual timbers of the ship an evocative experience.

Very fascinating and amazing to see the effort made to restore and maintain what is left of the shipwreck. The guy who is dressed as Henry VIII was very amusing but informative and great how he got the kids joining in.

Once inside the exhibits were stunning. However, having to queue for over an hour, even with pre-paid tickets, is totally unacceptable. Paying for entry up front, as far as I can see, has no benefit whatsoever when you have to queue along with everyone else.

Amazing place. The recovered wreck has been beautifully restored and displayed. There was a superb sound & light show / video focused on areas of the vessel.
I wanted to pit my skills against the long bow stand, but it was 'out of order'. (As my ticket is valid for a year. I'll get it next visit!)

The Mary Rose museum is an absolute must see, for anyone interested in history. The relatively small but beautifully designed exterior belies the huge and wonderful exhibition within, the remains of the hull is only a small part of the whole. Don't hesitate just go!

Fantastic exhibits, with spectacular views of the wrecked hull - now free of water mist and upright. For part of the walk you are in the same room as the ship. It's been a long journey for it, I remember it being raised with Prince Charles watching over while I was at school.
