They make the people wait so long. They don't care the seriousness condition you have. The pain you have their words are: is up to you if you want to wait or leave. No matter how many hours you have to wait.

To screw the wrist (hand) of a relative, who broke it, but could already move his fingers, anesthetized him from his arm, he supposedly had to wake up in 45 minutes, and woke up after 3 hours and with a small quad artery that goes to the heart, when they were going to put it in the machine to check the heart almost broke his arm, left a large bruise, he had to tell them since, he could not move his arm through the same anesthetic, he needed help to lift it He was prescribed medication for the quad for more than three months, strong medication that was causing him nervousness and the fingers did not recover completely since the plaque does not allow the fingers to stretch well. There is Negligence, although not all are equal.

Worst experience I ever had being in a hospital, I've been admitted here for almost 2 weeks now , and 1. it seems like the staff are incapable of doing there job 2. Have some body bring you food cause the food here is terrible if you get to try it an i say if because if you do they'll have you waiting along time to feed you or forget pretty leave your food outside your room or put in orders about not feeding you with out communicating it to you and 3. Have you on the same floor as the mentally impaired when your perfectly sane which I believe is completely unsafe .

My husband was admitted Friday, September 12, 2014. At the sink area was a man's plastic urinal full of urine uncovered ( this is were the patient brush their teeth and wash hands. I could not believe how Contra Costa Regional Medical Center has lack of sensitivity and compassion to patient care.

September 17th, I found the same urinal container inside bathroom emptied but full of urine stain. I put on some gloves and toss the disgusting container.

Also, I had to change my husbands bed linens everyday. Is this suppose to be done by the CNA?

There were group of nurses in (3) or employees at the nursing station just chatting away. They do not make eye contact or acknowledgement when you come around the nursing station.

The floors were not swept on daily basis? so as the bathroom not sanitized at all. I notice blood stains on the window sills. Also pillows were piled up on the same sink were I saw the urinal Very disgusting.. my regret was not taking pictures I could have posted it. I will be keeping journal on my daily visits and will keep posting.

Recently had a C section there and after my surgery and stay I wanted to make sure I posted a good review. The Drs. And Nurses made me feel very comfortable even though I was anxious about a C section. In the recovery, which wasn't very fun, I had really good nurses who were genuinely caring. I had my 1st Baby in Kaiser and the experience at the Martinez Health Center was better. The only downfall to the health center is that you share a room with someone after you have your baby. This means you can or will hear noise when you are trying to sleep. Besides that the facility is decent and the scenery from the windows are beautiful. I also want to write how before the surgery you meet the Drs who will be working on you, and also the anesthesiologist. I really felt comfortable during surgery knowing I got to meet the people who would be in the room. I had George as an Anesthesiologist and he did a wonderful job, he was very caring and I couldn't help but tell him thank you non stop.
Very happy with the service here. Hope everyone else had an experience like me.

Worst emergency room ever... All the staff have an attitude problem....it's s not how you say things... It's how you make someone feel when you say it..this emergency room needs help restructuring their lean management style...they do not show any compassion for anyone nor passion for what they do.. After all you are all there to just pick a check......

I've been going here for 20 some odd years I have an excellent doctor I think she's wonderful. for having Medi-Cal and Medicare I think I do pretty well at this Hospital. I know people was Kaiser that don't get the kind of service that I get here personal service. Shoot my doctor is even made of home visit while back. I'm sure she would again if she needed to that's the kind of things they don't have at Kaiser and other places. Contra Costa County Health Center is an excellent Hospital. Their staffs friendly and helpful. My doctor has gone the extra mile many many many times. as far as hospitals goes in this area I think this it is one of the best.

I have to tell this story. I was to to come here for Covid testing before having my surgery. White grey haired lady at the front desk best the emergency entrance was terribly rude to me. To a point where another black man and a nurse recognize the indifferent treated. Her co nurse agree with me saying Im thinking the same thing you are. The lady gave me long silences after I told her what I was there for and tried to hand her my idea. She would take my ID initially and started questioning who I am and who told me to come there. I kept telling her should could look me up. She kept asking me who told me to come to her. I told her I was directed at the entrance and was told to come near the tent for testing and that it would be best to take the test out side. The lady insist i use the in door facility which I was told could be contaminated and if I don't have Covid to test outside. She had smart words to exchange about that. She rudely cut me off and ignore me. Never told me I was at the right place after I asked her and showed me she really didn't want to work with me. I watch her give service completely different to everyone else. Yes I am a black man. She began asking me medical questions . The third question she says out loud DO YOU HAVE ANY WEAPONS ON you. I said I've never been asked that. She says we if you stick around the counter you'll hear me ask it. She talked to me like she was booking me into prison. Of course I'm not a criminal but that's how her service felt.

So she takes my temperture and LIES TO ME ABOUT IT. She was being a lil A hole saying I had a 101 temperture. Starts asking me serious of Covid questions and asking if I've had a fever or felt ways. Asking am I sure.
Apparently there's a different test you take if your temp is over a 100. I knew Karen was lying and I asked for another temperture reading within 120 seconds it read 99. Temperatures don't drop that fast. Anyway that lady has no people skills she needs to be in the back some where.

Do not have jennifer owen as your primary care ! She will lie and tell you to google things instead of doing her job. She shows up to your prenatal appointments without uniform and in slippers with animal hair on them. She couldnt even tell me what was in a epidural but tried to demand i get one . she also tried to have me enduce my labor early uneccessarily and put comments in my doctor notes that were falsified and when i confronted her she had nothing to say. She said my baby is measuring too small but every other doctor said shes doing it on purpose to enduce my labor early And that she doesnt know what shes doing ... She tried to go against my natural birthing plans and no drugs plan and tried to demand i do differently . shes an abusive doctor with control issues .

I have nothing but praise for what some people call just a "County Hospital". Getting an appointment may prove to be difficult at times, but once in, speaking just for myself, I found that the staff including the Doctors and Nurses really listen to what you tell them and speak with you in a way that you are able to understand.
I had all the symptoms of a serious condition that my HMO failed to, or didn't care to properly diagnose in the past. Then (finally) with CCRMC the condition was diagnosed very quickly, and a cousre of treatment was immediately put into place!
I also know that there are people that want to abuse this system. but if you are open and honest with them, and follow their suggestions. You will recieve Top Notch Service.

This is a review for the George and Cynthia Miller Wellness Center as well as Marcia Furtado. What I would like to say is avoid them both. Not only was she rude, she clearly doesn't know how to do her job. Went for an ingrown toenail, waited for 40 minutes for her to arrive. When she arrived she knew why I was there but decided not to bring her tools with her. Instead she wanted to talk about a survey that I needed to fill out. After 10 minutes of that she left to get the tools needed, took her another 20 minutes. Didn't even get the procedure done.

Just delivered my baby here, and they made me feel super comfortable. Pediatrians and nurses make you feel like its not just a job their doing. They show care for your newborn and your concerns. Being a new mother new feelings arrive and they are conscious of that. I was skeptical at first of delivering my child here due to the crazy stories you here of county hospitals. Though i got a different perspective, they of course are busy but you have to understand they try the best they can for what they got to work with. Im happy my experience went well

This place is ridiculous in terms of how they trea...

This place is ridiculous in terms of how they treat mentally ill patients; yes, I'm bipolar, no, this doesn't make me deserving of such awful treatment. Are the majority of employees here who interact with mentally ill patients even trained in interactions with them? Get a grip.

Upon entering the psyche ward, one of the first things I heard from a nurse was, "Your behavior isn't normal. Why would you act this way. This is not normal. You need to do differently."
I am BIPOLAR. What do you think the definition of a mental illness is? That we just "act normal"? I am assuredly able to just, let's say, turn my condition off and act "normal". Of course that's how this works. Obviously, I've been a fool for taking my illness seriously.

Another employee told my boyfriend, when he came to pick me up after an hour of waiting because one of the employees forgot to tell the person watching me. (The same one who admonished me for not being "normal") that I WAS DISCHARGED (I had been told I was discharged and asked after this hour what in the world was going on. I had to ASK to be discharged MORE THAN ONCE even while there were barely any patients in the psyche ward. An absolute example not only of how to be unprofessional, but also to display a lack of respect.)

When another employee retrieved my boyfriend to tell him I FINALLY was being let out, she told me he "shouldn't be my babysitter". So, someone who suffers from a sometimes debilitating mental illness doesn't deserve to receive support from someone who loves them, including a partner of three years and a best friend of six years.

I find it funny she would assume I was a burden to him, and I wonder if someone with a non-mental chronic illness would be told the same thing.

In addition, my boyfriend was told that before he arrived that he could visit me, and so brought magazines and snacks to make me feel better. When he arrived, however, we were both told we couldn't see each other without any explanation. Why were we lied to half an hour apart when all I'd been doing was sitting around waiting to be released. Had staring at the wall or something made me too unstable?

To top this all off, the documents I received when I was dispatched labeled me has depressed after I'd told multiple psychologists who came to see me that I was formally diagnosed with bipolar and was on lamotrigine (Lamictal). Perhaps they thought I was being dramatic or perhaps they thought they knew better than I did after knowing me for seven hours despite me having a diagnosis. After everything else, I wouldn't doubt it.

Do NOT go to this hospital if you're going for some reason related to mental illness. I am appalled with the behavior of the staff, and cannot believe that these perceptions of mental illness would ever be tolerated in a medical facility of any worth. In my opinion, in the case of treatment for mental illness, this place has no worth. Absolutely abysmal.

I have been going to Contra Costa Regional Medical Center Ophthalmology for my eye treatment with Dr. Kevin Beadles for over 2 years now and would not trust my eyes to anyone but Dr. Beadles. He is kind, patient, knowledgable, efficient, professional and most importantly sincere. At every appointment staff are friendly, courteous, and diligent.

Most recently, I had both my eyes operated on two weeks apart (5/23 and 6/6) and the result were superb! Prior to my surgery, Dr. Beadles explained the whole process thoroughly and in great detail of what he will be doing every step of the way including the pros and cons.

On both days of my eye surgeries, I showed up early and was well prepared for my appointment with a feeling of complete confidence as I know I am in good hands with Dr. Beadles. At the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, I was greeted by the friendly staff as the process started. The timing for both my surgeries were prompt and they were quick, efficient and painless!

I couldn t be any happier with the results of my eye surgeries and the fact that I can see clearly now makes a huge difference in the quality of my life. Frankly, I ll be more than happy to talk to anyone about my experience, but I felt the review should focus more on what makes this surgeon Dr. Kevin Beadles and his team so awesome. I am not a huge yelper, but think that the service I've received deserves a serious shout out. Thank you for all you do, Dr. Beadles and team. I am glad he is my Ophthalmologist and I highly recommend his service to anyone as he is extremely skilled, knowledgable and he truly knows his stuff. A well deserved 5 STARS!

This is a county hospital, you get what you pay for.limited budget and very tight protocols, and of course average to D+ doctors..If you have a pre existing condition ,like heart, diabetes, cancer etc..and need long term treatment, you better borrow money from family, friend and get a real insurance so you don't end up here.wont allow you to get second opinions outside of hospital,For Example:In Dermatology department you will be seen by a primary care doctor not a specialist though by law they have to have dermatologist so they use the person license as formality and when you ask for a dermatologist they say he is not available. So what is the point of waiting 3 month to see one.Be extremely cautious of any positive feed backs here. Finally, Hospitals like this have a very good quality liability insurance which pays for their malpractice lawsuits thus they never raise the quality of care.

My mom who recently is a patient here, tried to Schedule an appointment the person whom she was talking to didn't know how to speak Spanish so my mom had told her she would have her English speaking daughter talk to her. Now she has the phone on speaker and all I hear after that was "OMG"with frustration and she hung up obviously me being very angery by her extreme rudeness, I call back and I say excuse me mam you were extremely rude for hanging up on us like that! In English I told her ! She gave me a lot of attitude and told me who I wanted to talk to ! just like that and then, before I answered she told me if I wanted a Spanish speaker with the most disrespectful tone I have ever encountered!
