Martin's Hotels (Martin's Klooster) Review

Clean rooms, friendly staff, location close to the center and the breakfast is great, something for everyone. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel, accommodating staff, gorgeous and spacious rooms. However, we came during a heat wave and rented out ~12 rooms. All guests in our rooms had issues with the air conditioning. I suppose its uncommon to have air conditioning in Leuven. Great location, try out the Klooster Bar, it looks and feels like you're taking a trip back in time when you drink beer in the courtyard.

It's a nice place in Leuven were we had met in the last meeting of Belgium Congress of rheumatic diseases

Very nice hotel that is in fact right in the center. Everything you want to see or do is within walking distance. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms very spacious, neat and clean. Good beds. Breakfast is very tasty and more than adequate. On a next visit to the city of Leuven we will definitely book this hotel again!

and a lift was very important because I am handicapped. I hope to stay there again.

Nice centrally located hotel with parking. Neat, clean. Nice, helpful desk staff. The state of affairs regarding the cleaning of our room was strange: people kept knocking, someone came in half and then said sorry and left. The breakfast is frankly not worth the 21 euros asked for. In good weather you can have breakfast outside. The food from the bar is absolutely avoidable: a chicken pie of 16 euros (!!!) heated in the microwave. Pleh!

Had a wonderful stay. Good bed, nice clean room and nice breakfast buffet that is refilled until late. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is nicely central, yet quiet and also nice that there is a parking garage under the hotel.

Handsome hotel, both modern and authentic in a beautiful mix! The hotel has a nice scent, unique to the Martin's hotels. Delicious eaten in the courtyard, you are away from everything, but still in the bustling center of Leuven.

Had a great stay! The welcome was very welcoming. We felt really welcome at the hotel. The host explained extensively which hotspots you should have visited in and around the hotel. Were under the assumption that we were outside the center because of the peace. However, none of this was true. Within 50 meters you already walked into the beautiful center of Leuven. The rooms were nice, the breakfast was tasty. You notice during this stay that the employees are just going the extra mile for their customers. Great to see. Keep it up!

Magnificent 4-star hotel, housed in the former home of Guy Morillon, secretary of Charles V, it is a typically 16th century patrician house (Gothic influences made of brick and sandstone.). The buildings have been completely renovated while preserving what could be (the floor in the bar, wooden beams in some rooms ) The spirit of the Klooster part (cloister) has been kept in terms of decoration. Each element has been thought out and thought through! For example, the glass door to the bathroom represents a map of the historic center of Leuven. The hotel thus combines the charm of the old and contemporary architecture forming a very pleasant and exotic whole.
This hotel is ideally located in the heart of the historic center of Louvain and despite this, represents an island of calm, rest in a prestigious, refined and friendly setting.
For many years, the hotel has taken actions to considerably reduce its impact on global warming ... and encourages the client to participate in this large-scale project, thanks to simple actions (keep the towels for several days, light cooling of the room, regulate the heating or the air conditioning according to the needs .). A loyalty system even rewards the customer for his involvement.

Be careful if you come by car to Leuven, the historic center is mainly pedestrians and cyclists, so if you have the possibility, come by train (the historic center is 2 km in diameter and therefore everything can be done very easily on foot)

Very nice place just a short walk to Leuven city center. A little hard to get to but gps will get you there. Upgrade rooms are huge for European standards. Our room had a modern shower and a soaking tub. Internet was fast and free. Parking rates at 25 eruo a night so keep that in mind.

Great modern/trendy place. Gardens are really nice. Its a 5 min walk to shopping district and plenty of resteruants near by.

We are lucky to discover this hotel during a weekend Insiders. Nickel reception, very nice staff and excellent breakfast on the program. When in the room, it is beautiful (we did not expect something as good): large bed, bubble bath, wifi reception no problem ... There is no need to say, the hotel deserves its stars.

Martins Klooster is a well-located hotel in the center of Leuven. the standard room is for 1 night fine for multiple room, an upgrade of the room is better, you get a large room with a large sitting corner, large haze space. the breakfast is really very extensive. & # 13; & # 10; highly recommended.

Best Hotel I have stayed in within this area and a great price rooms were impressively clean and staff were very friendly. Jazz night in the bar was a nice surprise will be making this my hotel of choice for more work trips.
