This place taught the most about Dr. Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement. Very beautiful grave across the street where he and his wife are buried.
This is a great place to bring the family. The kids really learned a lot.
Enjoyed going back in time to see how my people fought for what was right even if it cost them their lives...
Such a humbling experience and to be able to visit his childhood home on the anniversary of his funeral is something I would never forget. I would recommend everyone to visit this area, you will not be disappointed. You will leave a a different person.
Loved my experience here and it was FREEEEEEE (the best things in life are, aren't they?)
I was very inspired during this journey but it's such an understated center for such an important man! I hope they develop it more and celebrate his legacy. I learned a lot about his childhood - he was actually very well-off and very educated from a young age.
Do give this a visit. It's an Atlanta gem!
Learn lot about Martin Luther King Jr. CHURCH HE WENT TO AS CHILD THEY EVEN HAD A ASSEMBLY INSIDE CHURCH PICTURES NICE HISTORY LESSON
Amazing monument honoring an even more amazing man.
An absolutely Peaceful, Beautiful place filled with a wealth of information. When you walk into any parts of the Center, you feel like you're walking straight into history...
This was very emotional for me. I'll admit I cried! Just seeing and being up close to what MLK and others went through.
This was a wonderful experience where you can walk the steps that he walked in his life and it doesn't cost you a dime if you don't want it to. There's not many places in America that you can do this in my experience. Very emotionally moving.
Loved it!!!!!! Very informative & time well spent. Highly recommended.
Awesome place.. Everything you need to know about Dr. Martin Luther King Jnr
Alot of resources here. Staff friendly but the guy at the desk didnt l ow anything! Which is why its 4 out of 5
There is no cost and there is so much to see. Incredibly informative and moving.
I was here last week with two nieces from the UK. We had one evening and almost a full day in Atlanta. (The evening was a Braves game of course and - the Braves won!). One thing they wanted to see was your site. It was an incredible experience. The parking was free (unheard of) and the buildings and exhibits were top quality. The film was moving and historical. The Ebenezer Church and reenactment of "I Have a Dream" were amazing, like listening to Dr. King himself. But most of all, your staff people were warm, welcoming and knowledgable, and we had the sense that they LOVE their jobs! Now how many federal sites can offer that? The visit took about an hour and a half, most enjoyable. Highly recommend!
The power of the atmosphere was so amazing and I have to come back to finish another reading of a great book.
I'm sure this was a great place but after waiting hours for the attendant to return, we just left
The presence of God at Ebenezer Baptista Church is sensational.
Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the greatest heroes America has ever produced, and I can't think of anything more worthwhile to do if you're in Atlanta, than visiting his memorial. It's tricky to rate, since this site is so many different things it's basically it's own neighborhood. Some of it is very well designed and organized, and some of it is kind of thrown together in terms of information, BUT the historical significance is there throughout. I'd recommend visiting his former church and his childhood home above all else. It's the visitor center that was surprisingly a bit underwhelming. I am glad however that this site is now paid the respect of finally being recognized as a National Park.
Very informative pics, videos, placards of history which we still haven't learned from as the fight for civil liberties continues in 2018.
Great national park and visitor center to walk through and be at peace.
Overall great experience. Good for children and adults who want to learn more about MLK.
An amazing experience. Very well done and extremely informative.
Glad I visited. I was overwhelmed with sadness. If I could turn back time ...
It's free. It's a historic place. You must go. You must go. You must go. Don't come to Atlanta unless you actually have gone to this place. Especially if you're a white Caucasian individual who supports Trump.
I walked on the path of Dr. King as he is my hero. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to know or learn from first hand about the Civil Rights Movement and the inspiring life of Dr. King.
Love history this placw is amazing would come back again. I didnt get a chance to see his birth place but next time
Full of historical info the family need to be exposed to,so they don't forget where they came from. This encourages the future generations to move forward and speak up in a non violent way
The staff was helpful and pleasant. The facilities looked beautiful.
It's truly amazing to be able to walk around the streets where MLK Jr. was born and raised. It is very informative as well.
Very impressive recollection of history, artifacts and a video surrounding the life and death of Martin Luther King Jr.
Beautiful couple! Their history: burial site, home and church.
Nice historical site. Visitors are not allowed to take pictures inside house.
The visit to MLK's birthplace will give you an instant connection to his struggle.
Historic, we'll organized educational tours that's free.
A very important site with special meaning in today's world.
Beautiful from the beginning. Theirs a lot of history to see ok. The Ebenezer church
.His tomb where his wife and his body lay. Come on let's take the time to Explore.
I had a great time today visiting the house that a King grew up in. Dr.Martin Luther king Jr
A very good national park. It was smaller than expected, but impactful. Love this Memorial. Such a wonderful tribute to 2 Great individuals on our History. This place is amazing.
Good. Free entry. Plenty of free parking. Needs some interactivity though, some imagination, some guides, some touchscreens, some flow? some expanding to educate the youth and elders about more than just Dr. King. He wouldn't have wanted it to be just about him. Glass in front of everything makes sharing pictures impossible. Kind of disjointed.
fyi lots of well-dressed panhandlers target this area claiming to be "pastors"
The mural was down when I went and put into storage this time, and the house is under renovation. With that being said it's still an important part of our history and a wonderful place to teach our children and selfs where we can hear and see things for our selves. When going through Atlanta it's a must stop for me.
just a beautiful monument..my daughter certainly enjoyed it
Every American must visit - if you have time for only one thing, watch the 20 minute video - guaranteed you'll be over come with emotion
Absolutely amazing! Visiting the historic site, meeting Congressman John Lewis, camping overnight and doing a service project was an experience my son and I will never forget! Thank you to the National Park Service and the Greening Youth foundation!!
This is a must visit if you are in the Atlanta area. I mean it's free, so there is no excuse! There is so much history in a few short blocks. The park Rangers are amazing, knowledgeable and friendly. The King family home was being renovated 3 weeks ago when I visited, but they have a pictorial tour of the home available in the old fire house.
At first, it was like a Martin Luther theme park. There were Martin Luther King marketable items and soverniors everywhere, but then when I went into the museum and saw a film, it all felt so real and I understood what Martin Luther King Jr and other civil rights activists fought for.
Love coming to the MLK historic.cen. great experience.
Really educational and informative. There's plenty to see with videos as well.
You could spend the whole day at this historically significant venue. The grave and eternal flame were befitting Dr. King. The surrounding grounds and church brought me to my childhood memories of this point in time. Not to be missed!
There was a great deal actually to see once you included all the locations together with the visitor centre. Plenty of videos and photos there to take time over. But check it all out in advance as tours are limited and if you are not on a tour access is limited though you can look at the buildings from the outside. Not the easiest of places to understand the workings of.
