Mark Taper Forum Review

This new site is located across the street from Disney Hall and the Music Center, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Mark Taper Forum and Ahmanson Theatre. Grand street is going to be exciting!

Wonderful theater... Great view from any seat. Very Good Productions. Good Staff!

Love this Theatre! All seats are GREAT! No matter where you sit you pretty much have a great view of the stage. I'm a big fan of small theatres as they're more intimate and more comfortable.

A great experience. It's not the first time and it won't be the last time.

I love the Taper for theatre that pushes my mind. I do not always love the individual plays but I love that we have a theatre that will present smaller works rather than the big musicals and plays at the Ahmanson. Nice space. Really not a bad seat in the house. My only wish for the house is that I wish there was an inch or two more leg room between seats.

Beautiful facility for high quality line theatre. We saw Valley of the Heart by Luis Valdez and we loved it.

I like the theater, and I really enjoyed "Happy Days," with Dianne Wiest. There's not a lot of legroom, which was uncomfortable for my knees, and I'm only5'6", hence the deducted star.

Exciting new works! Flawless front of house service. Theatre doesn't get better than this!

My second favorite CTG venue. The Kirk Douglas is my first choice for cutting edge plays, but the Taper comes next. Consistently high quality works presented in interesting sets.

Mark Taper is a wonderful theater, not so big that the cheap seats can't see or hear anything. I have gone to many plays there, and most of the time really liked them. I get "season" tickets for 3 or 4 plays.

Plus I just discovered that Metrolink has a late train on Saturdays so now I can take the train into LA and the Metro to the theatre. Great deal, and the ticket people are nice, helpful, and polite.

Not a bad seat in the house. The house can seat almost 400 people, but it feels more intimate than that. Amazing shows happen here, and history is often made on this stage.

It was good. I didn't understand it was to be a one man show, but it was well done.

The Mark Taper Forum mostly host plays. They generally put on new shows every 6-8 weeks of either new works from popular playwrights or revive an old piece that was very popular. A great way to get affordable ticket for the Mark Taper is through sites like Gold Star or take a chance with their rush tickets by showing up 2 hours prior to show time and paying $20 in cash for whatever seat is available. Based on how the theater is shaped there is no bad seat in the house.

Always top-notch plays in a wonderful thrust-stage theater.

LA icon, a must visit when in town, great way to spend a quality evening.

Really beautiful theater. Good sized but still intimate with its thrust stage. Staff is top notch. I've seen three shows there. They've all been excellent. $9 parking below. Very reasoonable. Check it out.

This is a great pace in LA Downtown area to see live theatre. It always has plays coming thru both nights and weekend matinee.
