Marion County Public Library Review

Great property but the staff can act unsual when it comes to "customer service". I asked to use a pen really quick and was told to go to the front desk where pens are chained. I asked a lady that was putting back dvds and audio books where were the dvds and she replied i dont know i just volunteer, go ask at the front desk. And my wife asked for a strip of tape at the front checkout desk and the lady there said we dont give out tape but you can have a staple. Weird people here. All in one visit.

Everyone I've meet is very polite and helpful. Also, at the forest library. Very nice systems compared to up North.

For the size of this library I am not overly impressed. They don't have many "true" new releases. I also wished they opened at 9:00am.

Beautiful facility. Clean, with ample meeting rooms. Friendly staff all over the place. Always having special events for everyone. Wide selection and if headquarters doesn't have a book, odds are you can request it from one of the smaller community libraries. One of Marion County's crown jewels!

A massive selection of books, with many services and utilities such as computers, printing and more. A little harder to find books on your own since the selection is so huge, but the staff is friendly and will assist you any time.

Since being stuck at home with a broken foot, and the lockdown, I ran out of books to read. I renewed my card (by phone) and for the first time ever, got an e-book for my tablet. I love it! I was able to read my book outside either online with Wi-Fi or offline! Welcome me to the 21st century! Marion County Library you rock!

Yes Marion County Library is not open in fact they have four people sitting outside talking to people doing god-knows-what this is unjust due to the fact that the taxpayers wasting their money on people sitting outside of library instead of saying a closed sign. No one mentions you're not allowed to use the library but yet when I come to the parking lot there's rows of cars here and people are admitted aside myself. I wonder what will you guys do do if Marion County Library can't open their doors and let us use a computer to do taxes. So I guess I'm going to get tax evasion due to discrimination. this isn't the first time being forced away

Kids cant even go in there to do there home work it hard with one laptop to do homework when u have more then one child

Great selection of books.it is a place where you can go and sit and read a book without all the noise that you have to listen to in the smaller library.

I have a sami truck and am not from this area. I needed to work on some documents and needed access for a cumputer. I called and they immediately help me with a spot to park my truck due to a large parking area and a guest pass to do my work. Great envorement and staff wiling and eager to help.

Story time led by Miss Faith on Wednesdays is an ideal way to promote listening skills and the love of reading. As a retired teacher, it fills my heart to see the excitement of my grand-twins each week on our visit to the library, what an outstanding program! Thank You

Staff is very helpful, the building is always clean even when it gets incredibly busy.

Absolutely beautiful building, both inside and out, with art mixed in amid the books and on the outside walls. Abundant parking, good service, acceptably clean bathrooms, but terrible WiFi. It moves from slow to fast, and drops often, then starts off slow again. A plus for the many stations to connect to power, although outlets outside the stations are lacking. Hoping they can improve the Internet, because everything else here gets high marks.

Very professional staff. The children's section of this location is well stocked with a broad depth of text for developing readers of any age.

I must say i have been to better libraries not that this one is terrible, I just would like to see more events and for more than just the children. The building and setup is amazing but it could use some pretty displays or better decore. Lake county has an awesome library that is always doing fun things!!! I wish Marion county would take a bigger initiative.

I'm originally from Connecticut and I was AMAZED by this library. It's huge and very well designed.

Whenever I come to this library I easily find a book that I would love to take home and read. There is a nice selection of adult and children s books to choose from.
