I went to obtain a birth certificate on 08/18/21. Upon arriving, I noticed a sign sitting in front of the doors. It states the building is closed to the public and lists the phone number to call for assistance. I called the number and a woman answered. I explained I need to get my son's birth certificate and I have to submit it to my employer by Friday for insurance purposes. She advised me that they don't have the internet and don't currently have access to vital records nor do they have any way to print them out. She stated this has been the case for the past two to three weeks and they anticipate it will be at least one more week before the problem is resolved. She stated I can request my son's birth certificate through the State of Indiana but that it will take six to eight weeks to arrive. Wanted to let everyone know before they take a trip and are unable to access services inside.

So I took a COVID test on august 30 and when I call they keep push it bck on when I get it my results, I just got them September 7 because my father went up there because they keep push it bck on when I could get my results ,then after I got them my grandma call and they told her wait until tomorrow , even tho they already gave me the test results

Went to get copy of daughter's birth certificate. Was in and out in 5 minutes. Very happy with service.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They were very efficient and quick. Went to get a birth certificate and was in and out in 15 minutes.

Every time I ve been there for , everyone has always been polite and helpful! They have a good system to get you in and out! ( )
Usually it s less than 15 minutes. ! The paper BC cards wear out over time, the extra buck is so worth it. 20 yrs. later it will still look good!

For 25 years I ve dealt with the health department to secure death certificates for families during their time of loss. Recently, changes have been made that are detrimental to efficiency and quality of ensuring families can receive death certificates for the care of their loved ones. I am baffled why things have become needlessly difficult to secure certificates for loved ones.

They waste tax dollars paying an IT company that has let them languish offline for THREE WEEKS.

My husband called over the phone and the lady was very unhelpful, rude, and hung up on him.

Called just to simply find out information on getting my newborns birth certificate and was placed on hold then hung up on then proceeded to call back as it was important only to have the lady talking to coworkers while I m on the phone with her when she finally decided to answer my questions she was short and rude and quickly hung up on me after I asked her about coming in to pick it up and documents required to do so.
