Called to inquire about the intake process.

Called to inquire about the intake process.

MHA: "You'll have to fill out an application to get on the waitlist but right now we have no waitlists because they are full and we can't tell you when a waitlist might become available"

Me: "So I can't actually fill out an application, is what you're saying?"

MHA: "Right now there are no waitlists available"

Me: "Is there a State agency that you can refer me to?"

MHA: "Even though our name says Marin Housing Authority, we are not the authority. There are private developers, housing managers, private landlords, and other private people who work with low income housing. You can get on the internet to do some research. Or have a family member help you with getting on the internet"

Me: "This has been the most unhelpful phone call"

After lots of back and forth and paper work we were able to get my dad on his government assistance. You will need to be 1: organized 2: on time 3: patient 4: patient 5: creative 6: demanding in order to get and keep your voucher. It s really not in their best interest to keep you on the program, so you must stay with it, stay on them and be perfect with all of your paperwork.

Btw they are only open Mon - Fri 10am - 4:30pm and closed every other Friday see the attached schedule

Good luck my friends, much love.
