For the amount of money you pay - the value is very minimal. Washing machine dryer were not working. Towels provided by the property were very poor quality as well. Internet was not working when even worked very slow speed. Management was not supportive on certain requests.

Stayed here over Christmas and had the most pleasant stay. Karen and Steve were like family, so friendly and welcoming. Our apartment was comfortable and the pool was fantastic. Only a hope skip and jump to the beach, public transport and the main drag of surfers paradise or broadbeach. Will definitely be back again. Thanks Karen and Steve for making our family holiday memorable.
The staff were easy to talk to and approach about anything.The rooms were very clean and had everything you required home away from home. The pool and bbq area were highly maintained and the tropical gardens were beautiful. It is in a great location with only a 3 minute walk to the beach and a short walk to cavil.I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Read the managers replies to the low reviews and you will see the type of person you're dealing with.
The place itself is nice. But the manager is extremely difficult and belligerent. The way he acted towards guests would have been almost comical if children weren't witnessing it, and had he not broken the law holding possessions and cars hostage. After reading the reviews, I learned he happily lets himself into guests rooms in the middle of the night, and his poor attitude is a common problem.
The place itself is fine, the management needs a serious makeover.

Came here 11 years ago and was great. Problem is, nothing has been updated since then. Beds are terrible, like sleeping on a plank of wood. TVs are small and outdated, with the back covers on every remote control coming off loose. Having to maintain own room and no supply of necessities such as toilet paper and only one towel is pretty poor. Hopefully they change things up in future.
Stayed here for the broadbeach country music festival. Unit was ok but we found someones cut toenails on the couch. Management did sort this issue out and the cleaner cleaned up but it was definitely something that should have already been done. We also when booking Over the phone asked for a ground floor unit as we had two children and a pregnant woman but we were placed on the highest level which was 3 staircases high which made our stay very difficult. For the price we paid it wasnt to the standard which we expected . Overall the whole complex is fine but won't be staying there again.
Great location and secure parking, close by to trams and short walk to beach. Very comfortable stay with clean rooms and and gardens. a great heated pool and spa. Friendly staff and a nice little surprise on arriving for a birthday. I would happily recommend to anyone.
It is not kid friendly and managers are very rude, rooms are ok but I had to stay in one that was clearly under construction due to tiles sitting up against the wall which I believe should of been done before we arrived or taken out and not only that there was also no aircon in the rooms and the fans do not work and due to this you have to sleep out in the living room with the aircon in summer, oh and the game room looks like it has not seen an update in 30 years and you can not play pool past 4:00pm due to the things you need for it is locked up with the manager and he needs his own time and his guesses mean nothing with him being rude and talking down to me so in conclusion someone that had 5 kids with them this place is not fit for any family
The wife and I with the kids stayed at this family resort for the second time now and found it even better than the first. We cam over 18 months ago but on this trip found a whole new Reception and lobby, the pool beautiful renovated and still heated.
The ground s are spectacular. Compliments to the manager who look s after the gardens.

Budget. Good but would have been better if rooms are maintained and repaired often.
My first impressions were average at best given the lack of attention you'd expect at any price point. My expectations were not high as yes it's a 3 star place but even less stars for initiative. Here is why: a booking for 4 with 3 bedrooms for week and only 2 rolls of toilet paper, basic maintenance not carried out and too many broken or not working essentials.
This lead me to read the reviews (granted, should have done this before booking) and although I'm glad we did not have to encounter the management, their responses clearly shows they either have little emotional intelligence and/or are in the wrong business. Also I'd suggest taking note of the only 5 star reviews have come from guest that have made a single review ever
I was going to give a fair 3.5 star rating for a 3.5 star place but then before I could, we received negative feedback from the owner on AirBnB regarding cleaning. They are happy to mislead with their resort title and pre-charge us a cleaning fee but complain because we didn't empty the rubbish bin on departure
All in all I would honestly say you will get better value from the neighbouring hostel with a private room. And that the only kinda resort I'd say this would be is the last.
Management: you won't find my booking because it was booked under my brother's name. He may have left his own independent review too but like other groups, we are each entitled to our own opinion and experience.
Edit: after having to request a review on unauthorised payments, an AirBnB and bank investigation - we found the management even more vulgar and rude that can be seen in the comments. Not to mention unethical business practice though multiple breaches in code of conduct.
Not only the worst managers but simply the worst people I ve ever met in my entire life. I ve never smelt worse dog breath from a human being as when the managers were yelling in my face. They both need a good root because I could see the male managers huge blue balls from across the pool as he stormed towards me with his pants so high his belt was looped through his earlobes. Have arrived home to NZ after great stay in Mari Court Resort. Great location, clean and comfortable unit with everything we needed for our stay. Secure, underground parking along with good security measures throughout complex. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. My young daughter loved the pool!

The place has been improved a lot with many upgrades and many executive (renovated) apartments. Reception and pool area, freshly renovated and modern.

Our home away from home. Mari Court Resort is everything that we want. We get an apartment, secure undercover parking, short stroll to the beach, nice walk to the shops.
Resort managers Steve and Karen were nothing short of accommodating with any concerns we had.
The resort apartments are privately owned and each individual apartment is decorated to each individuals personal style and design, so they're all unique in their own way.
The cost for our stay of 10 nights was incredibly reasonable and very competitive for the location which is close to everything you need.
Apartments are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, tv, full kitchen, washing machine and dryer, free Wi-Fi so if you're contemplating a trip up the coast contact Steve and Karen directly and they'll look after you.
The pool area is great to catch some sun and relax or cool off in the water with perfect temperature of around 27 degrees. If you prefer then sit in the spa and enjoy the garden setting.
Take advantage of the newly renovated BBQ area which is just great on those nights after a day out.
In this day and age if you don't communicate your wants effectively and clearly don't complain when you arrive.
We'll be booking again with Mari Court Resort and would like to thank Steve and Karen for all their hard work even after hours. These days everyone is quick to complain and seldom compliment well it's thumbs up from us.
This was a great place to stay as it was right next to the beach and not far from attractions. It was peaceful and relaxing however like all places there were noisy and unruly guests
Hi our first trip to the goldcoast a bit nervous as didn't know what to expect but i was suprised everyone was so lovely and helpfull...the acommodation perfect our home away from home was lovely has everything you need for cooking meals etc will come back again one day .We hired a car was safe in the under car park perfect. .Thankyou Mari Court for our wonderful holiday stay

My friends and I stayed at Mari court resort these holidays and the reception was lovely, instructions on how to retrieve keys and check in was clear and detailed. Our apartment was clean with all the necessary utensils for washing up, using the washing machine and toiletries were supplied as well. After this fantastic experience my friends and I will most certainly be staying here again next holiday

Great accommodation!!! Steve was excellent and extremely accodating to my group of ladies. The room felt like a home away from home, surrounded by well kept garden. Great security to get in or out. Beautifully located with the tram line just a few minutes walk away. The ladies on front desk were lovely and easy to talk to. We told them about a light not working and was fixed immediately. I definitely recommend this place, family or not. Check these guys out next time your on the coast looking for great reasonably price accommodation. Thanks for a great stay guys - well done

Chapter 2.
We had a look at the lock. The lock was hanging about 6mm out of the fixture. Just enough to make the door lock. The door was covered in green corrosion. Clearly not going to work with a key or not.
Put the kids bags in the doorway so it wouldn t work and went to bed very disgruntled.
Saturday morning we left around 8:30am. No call. Didn t go past reception as we were already running late and would have expected someone to call to at least talk about the incident.
Saturday afternoon. Nothing heard.
Saturday night. Nothing heard.
Sunday. Checked out of the room and visited reception to check out.
Handed my key in and said make sure you get the room with the single beds door lock fixed , at which point the same woman I spoke to on the phone went back on the same non negotiable conclusion tangent to her colleague of oh yeah, that door has never been locked but it blah blah blah , at which point I interjected and said THAY DOOR IS CORRODED WITHIN AN INCH OF ITS LIFE AND DOES JOT WORK. IT IS ROOTED. GET IT FIXED!!! And walked out.
All in all, the facilities were at best, average. Rooms a bit dated, games room for kids was lacking (chain mesh fence in the car park. could go on but I won t), beds a bit hard and the tandem parking bays are a little confusing but we didn t have to use those luckily. place was clean enough and it s situated in a good spot. For what I paid For the 2 nights, could not have expected more.
That is not my issue.
My issue is the utter contempt of the incident we had by management.
Steve was pleasant when I spoke with him on the phone. Quite calm and happy to resolve any problems the next day. Would have appreciated a call back though.
But the woman, I assume Karen. That was what really got my goat.
The sense we got while talking to her on the phone was nothing short of an accusation that somehow we had made it so the door locked (how could we have without a key in a lock that is seized?), not to mention it seemed like we were causing a great inconvenience to her Friday evening. I only wish I could remember more of what was said. The attitude was disgusting, utterly disgusting.
And the lack of care at beck out. Going back on the same tangent of how someone has made the lock do this and it has been fiddled with and obviously trying to pass the buck and place the blame elsewhere. Not even a, yeah we will look at the lock and get in touch with the owner of the apartment to have it repaired Not even a simple sorry about that . Nothing.
Side note: while the man who was a resident who came down to help was absolutely lovely and we did feel bad taking him away From the footy, why does a resident, not an employee, have access to all the keys to the rooms? Not very professional.
So........to whoever has taken the time to read this, if I have robbed you of time that you will not have gotten back I apologise, I only hope I have made the time of your next holiday to the Gold Coast enjoyable, not leaving with a bad taste in your mouth.

I found the staff there uninviting and not very friendly. The closet in the master bedroom had water leaking into it, that caused an awful smell.

Great location, lovely grounds but the staff need to pull there heads in and have some respect for there guests. They are very rude in how they speak and pointing at children is not acceptable.

Very poor service.. plently of dust on the beds.. rude staff. Poor management in room booking. IT IS NOT A RESORT! It is an apartment complex with a pool. For the money they charge.. you will get much better accomodation in terms of amenities and location.
Disgusting attitude from management. Rude while we were there, and rude after I wrote an honest review from my stay. Maybe you could consider my feedback as constructive criticism and resolve the issues I raised?? The light did not work, the washing machine needs to be replaced which is frustrating as it was the reason we booked this apartment in the first place. Resort has signs everywhere, you must clean the apartment yourself before you leave to avoid fines! Even take out the rubbish out at 5am when you're heading to the airport. Despite staying 8 days, the apartment was not serviced once. Surely you can provide bin liners for guests? If everyone has to buy them, I'm sure you have a large free supply! We were not advised about the parking rules, thus, it is your responsibility to ensure guests are aware of the parking procedures. It's a bit confusing to give someone a ticket for #14 then become hostile and accusatory when they park in #14. We were also not advised that the manager "on site" while the reception was closed was at the doctor, she told us it was a "holiday ". Then the next day as we were waiting for a taxi in reception, we heard her talking about us! People make mistakes, and when you have one small child, one adult on crutches, and one individual with a disability, these things happen. We were paying guests, despite the fact that you made us feel like an inconvenience the entire time. We never said we were enjoying our stay. Your response is aggressive, dishonest, and frankly quite disgusting. Every guest has your wages in their pocket, something you would be best to remember and adjust your "customer service".
For the record, as an academic I read lots of actual literature. I'm not an idiot.
Just spent 6 days in Gold Coast at Mari Court Resort. Felt more like a home away from home.
Clean accomadation in lovely tropical settings. All weather pool and spa extremely clean and we took full advantage of it each evening. Management was brilliant, non intrusive and willing to have a chat with you at any time. Onsite security parking was brilliant and best of all free.
Easy access to all shops and attractions with tram etc just around corner.
Definately recommend Mari Court to families and couples alike
What a lovely place to stay! Close to the beach and everything you need in the gold coast, the staff are very kind and helpful, and checked up to make sure we were ok and enjoying ourselves.
The pool was always good, kept at a reasonable refreshing temperature.
The rooms were built to a reasonable standard with everything you need to cook a meal.
The wireless internet worked flawlessly the whole time!
All in all, a good place to stay.

We stayed at the Mari Court Resort and have nothing to say except we wanted to stay longer. The location and setting leave nothing wanting. This is a hidden gem in an oasis of concrete.
The self serviced units are clean and tidy and fully self contained giving you many options on what you wish to do.
And if you wish to have a swim, The pool amenity's will take care of that with a tranquil setting and there is a barbecue for those who wish to partake of a family get together.
Mine host's Steve and Karen will go out of their way to ensure you have what you require.
In closing, Please consider staying as you will not be disappointed.
After a cheeky night out with the lads, we woke up to the manager in our room which we didnt give permission too. On our last day when we are all trying to clean up the manager thought it was a good idea to get tradies in to add some powerpoints in, if he waited 30 minutes we would of been gone and than they could easily conducted their work.
WiFi can only be used in one corner of the room for only 5min before cutting out. Bed and mattress very old..
Good location not to close but not to far for anything you could need or want they are fairly spacious apartments still have enough space for the kids to play.
Great value. In fact, just a great place to stay. Well kept facilities, helpful staff, and in a pretty good spot a couple of minutes from a patrolled beach. We'll be back.

Couldn't do enough for us,room was great,large,clean and well equipped,pool and spa were fantastic..The location was perfect,central to everything,200 metres to the beach.Kids had fun in the games room,free putt putt as well.We will be back.

As the saying goes you get what you paid for. We spent 10 days at this resort yes its out of date with the decor but there are highs and lows with most things.
Our 2 bedroom self contained unit wasn't the cleanist when we first arrived but it was spacious with nice rooms 2 balconies and everything we needed. .
On our 5th day the vacum cleaner dryer and range hood stop working but was fixed straight away. .. location to surfers Paradise and local shops were ideal the swimming pool and other facilities were a advantage the only downer was the smokers ....big turn off when eating dinner on the balcony and people around you light one up... should be a non smoking resort. ..
I found the staff to be helpful and friendly we even got a 11am check out time . . Great for value for money as well. ..
I just spent two weeks holiday at the Mari Court Resort. The new managers Steve and Karen made me feel really welcome and were very helpful with tourist information, very friendly and accommodating.
I was most impressed with the room, big and spacious. I loved the sparkling heated swimming pool set in a tropical environment. Great hot spa.
I found the location absolutely perfect with just a short tram ride
into Surfers Paradise or to Pacific Fair and Jupiter's Casino.
The pristine surf beach was only 250 meters from the door.
The very reasonable price I paid for accommodation means I will be able to holiday there more often.

My friend and I have just spent 14 days staying at Mari Court and enjoyed every moment of it. The apartment we had was lovely. The staff are so helpful and they always had time in their busy day to have a chat which was nice. I would recommend to all my friends.
Stayed after new year's 2018 and had constant noise from people above us. Talked to management who stated they could talk to resident but the noise continued. Kids couldn't sleep properly and washing machine extremely filthy with what looked like years of gunk in the middle of the drum.
I was staying for 4 nights with my whole family. My family were travelling from China and we got lots of help from Mari court, included save baggages, check in early, etc. The swimming pool is very clear and children s pool is warm water in the winter
So we wrote a bad review, and as to be expected, we were called liars.
So this also implies that John, who was absolutely lovely, is a liar.
When we told him what the issue was and how the woman on the phone behaved, he could not explain quick enough distance himself quick enough that he was only a resident and was doing management a favour. Those were his words. Not ours.
Steve who answers the call when we finally opened the door was great. Sort it out tomorrow he said. Never heard back. All of this would have been let go with a simple phone call.
As far as being a little panicked and losing our cool, yes we did. But, when your only child is on the other side of a deadbolt locked door, sick with respiratory issues and hysterical, and the person who is trying to help is doing nothing short of placing the blame back on you, implying there isn t much she can do because she is 40 minutes away and it s a Friday night (not verbatim but these words were used in the conversation) and didn t even want a return phone number to update us on if anyone was coming or how long they may be, you tend to get a bit grumpy at the apparent lack of care.
As said previously, would have let it all go if there was simple sorry about that, not sure what went wrong but we will get onto it . Not a thing. Nothing.

Each unit is privately owned. Some are more tired than others and rely on the owners to update them. Although they are all at least 3.5 star. The management were awesome and incredibly friendly. If you have a problem, just ask. The pool and spa are heated and very well maintained. It is a short walk to the beach and the tram stop is just around the corner. The trams are an excellent way to get around the gold coast.
Went to the Gold Coast for a girls weekend. Had a great time.

My wife and I checked in here from September 22-24, 2018, and had to hurry to the Airport on the date of departure. After checking out and while we were waiting for public transport outside, I asked my wife to go inside the reception again to ask someone to call for a taxi. Wrongly believing that an arrangement had not been fixed (as the secured main door separated us), I saw and grabbed a taxi outside and signalled my wife to leave, resulting the inconvenience caused to the very helpful and pretty receptionist who received us to cancel the order right after a call was made (later learned from my wife) - it was my fault, and we are terribly sorry!

stayed here in march our apartment was very outdated and not much worked was ok for the price and the deal we got from jetstar staff are pretty friendly and helpful.

Very basic, it's a glorified backpackers with your own amenities. The rooms/furnishings are very very old and dated, the A/C is not even good enough to cool the living area let alone the bedrooms. The units are just very run down and in desperate need of a complete makeover and a good clean, glad I don't pay for the accomodation when we stay., you even have to clean the unit ( mop bucket & vacuum cleaner provided ) and take out the garbage and wait for the dishwasher to finish to put the dishes away or get hit with a cleaning fine, I give it a half star rating
I mistook this for a "Kiwi Cabaret" style resort! [ prob not the first ] Was expecting the full New Zealand experience, Bungee Jump, Rugby, Sheep Shearing, Wakachangi on tap, cultural Dinner/show with song & dance of the Mari's of New Zealand. Well, none of those things happened as despite the name this accommodation has no affiliation with N.Z, however there was a lovely Mari boy [ Shamus O'rangi ] on as concierge and turned out to be a great place to bunk down for a few nights, close to it's surrounding neighbors and friendly staff.

stayed there with my family last week, we where greeted with a smile, and a nothing is too much to ask attitude, can't speak highly enough of the manager, she went out of her way to make or stay awesome, from simple directions on where to shop, extra towels, and when our clothes dryer didn't work correctly she let us use her dryer, and the very next morning we had a brand new 1 installed.
we 100% will make the Mari Court our 1st choice for future QLD trips.
My partner and I spent a week at Mari Court for our honeymoon. It has its ups and downs. We have stayed at the mari court 3 times now and while our experiences have never been horrible, its not been what you expect from a holiday resort. So the positives first. Its afforable and right in the heart of surfers paradise. Shopping and attractions are easy to get to and public transport is ample.
The rooms are sizeable and are relatively clean. The staff are nice enough.
The owners are nice and can see effort is being made to update the resort. The freedom to cook our own meals is a bonus.
The pool is clean and well maintained and heated which was lovely. We really enjoyed late afternoon swims. And the heated spa was a nice bonus too.
The negatives. The rooms are old and need a little tlc. The mattress in our room was hard and uncomfortable.
Not a big issue but still enough to notice.
During our stay, 2 of the days we were woken to loud drilling and sanding outside our apartment and the only notice guests were given was a sign on the main stairwell door. I feel they could have dropped notices to each apartment affected.
There is limited channels on the foxtel. Only 4 movie channels and for kids or inner children only action or comedy or romance. Would be nicer to have a bit more variety in channels as I was sick the first couple of days and could not leave the resort so was very little to watch.
The reception shuts at midday on the weekends so anyone checking in or any issues and you have to call an after hours number. For a resort, i feel there should be a full time reception even on weekends as there are guests to look after. This was more of hassle for us checking out as resort has a 10am checkout and our flight home wasn't till 7.30pm. We asked if we could hold our bags there until we needed to be at the airport as we had organised the free shuttle bus transport. We were told our bags could only be stored until 12pm then reception closed. Luckily for us, we called Currumbin Wildlife park and they stored bags and we ended up going there for the day. But we had to cancel our free airport transport and pay for a taxi instead cause we weren't able to be picked up from the resort.
So all in all. Its a fairly nice place to stay but you get your moneys worth. While our experience did not ruin our trip and we had an all in all nice time. I think next time we'll spend a bit more and stay at a hotel for our next trip. That isn't to say mari court should be avoided. Its great for those travelling on a budget or need space for kids and for self contained. But unfortunately, not the right fit for us. This is our own personal experience and others may find Mari Court Resort the perfect fit for them.
Fabulous, spacious apartment with access to amenities including a beautiful pool/spa area, bbqs and secure parking. Staff are friendly and always happy to help. Great location, close to everything you could want. My family had a lovely stay....highly recommend!

Stayed at this resort during the commonwealth games and found it to be a great place. The managers were lovely down to earth people and the whole place had a nice relaxed feel. The kids and myself spent hours in the pool and spa each afternoon and the place didn't feel at all crowded even during this busy time. The room we stayed in wasn't immaculate but was comfortable and clean. A nice place
The place was neat and tidy. Lots of room for the family.
Beach and Tram stop within walking distance.
Kids loved the pool, hot tub as well as the putt putt.
Friendly staff.
What more can you want.
