Does high price equals hight quality? In case of this place yes
I've come to this hotel for 3 years now. The improvements that is happening are amazing!
Outside space is nice, with heated seats, terrace food menu really nice, we had the hot dogs, squid and cauliflower all delicious, outside isn't as spacious as the photos on the site. Can go for a nice walk after at Hyde Park
Great service but questionable quality of decor in bedrooms
Went to a meeting in the main room. Good enviroment, air conditioned and helpful staff
Fabulous place and everything is absolutely amazing
The atmosphere is very good, the people are very friendly and always willing to help. The concierge team knows the best tricks to accommodate you well in your stay.
Nice high tea experience in one of the poshest areas of London.
Very disappointed with the Marcus Warering restaurant - excellent staff and good food but came away with a strong impression of not value for the money and shan't be going back.
We came here for a special event and hired out the ballroom for an Afternoon Tea event. The staff were great and really helpful. The pistachio macarons were amazing. The cloakroom access was great and the toilets were even lovely.
This place is elegance at its finest. Have been a number of times for afternoon tea and the foods always been exceptional. We ve had gluten free requests and there really has been no difference in food quality. Can t wait to go back!
Hotel rooms are decorated differently, the first floor is completely renovated and needs, but unfortunately the rest are very old and in need of renovation.
The spa is so disappointing and when they talk about a roof top pool, you wouldn't expect it to be so tiny...
One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in ... but expensive
Great place, went to my wife's company Christmas Party and it was excellent. Food was great along with a very professional service by the waiters and waitresses. A good night was had by all.
An excellent place for breakfast. A lot of healthy options including gluten free and dairy free alternatives. My favourite is their home made vanilla yogurt with granola & berries. Their avocado toast with feta cheese and poached eggs is very good. Excellent service and attentive staff. Lighting very welcoming with positive energy atmosphere. Bakes and teas available. Good accessibility and free wifi available. The rooms are spacious and have been refurbished; the whites are always a comforting choice that complement the window views.
This place is spectacular on every level. The seasonal decorations over the front entrance of the building really are close to being considered a certain spectacular sight of the Great City. The staff are so well mannered it hurts, and they all talk so slowly and clearly that sometimes you forget about the rugged and the rough speaking reality we surround ourselves in. Upon entry everything is so clean and so pure that it just makes you want to take off all your clothes, curl up into a ball and just lay there smelling the strawberry scented carpet. It goes without saying I'm not allowed in there anymore but you have to believe me, this place is honestly amazing.
Fantastic dinner and awesome pre dinner drinks at the Blue bar
Outstanding hotel with extremely helpful staff. This is one of London s best hotels.
We stayed here for 10 days. Really loved it. The staff are exceptional. We will be returning for our next visit.
Wonderful week stay here, excellent location for shopping and Hyde Park walks. Amazing staff, delicious breakfast with home made pastries daily. Very attentive servers and doormen. Really enjoyed our stay. Room was beautiful. Great attention to detail. Well done.
Good size of rooms .near Hyde park and knitsbridge.
Had dinner at Marcus, ordered the tasting menu with the wine accompaniment. The most delicious meal I've ever had
Used to be a regular but it is not what it once was. The Blue Bar still worth a visit though
Great hotel. Service is excellent and the staff are hardworking.
We held a wedding here and cannot praise it enough. Everybody was so helpful and accommodating. We wouldn t hesitate to recommend it.
It was more then I could wish for . An amazing place to stay ,with service 2nd to none.
Rooms, food and service. Highly recommended.
Took my parents to The Berkeley for The Christian Dior afternoon tea, it is expensive but it's worth the experience. However 12.5% service charge on top l feel is a little steep
It looks and smells like a wonderful 5 Star Hotel but upon closer inspection the staff are I ll informed and rude, the clientele are the equivalent of bridge and tunnel and the food is farcical , and did I mention the staff are rude..
3 hotels within a stones throw with great service for those that go and don t know any better
I love it
Too much nice hotel
The best Afternoon Tea ever!!!!! And I've been to a lot .... I've taken so many friends and we can never stay away for too long! It's fresh, changing with the seasons and times and no experience is the same which I love!!! The revamp done months ago is just an added bonus as it was amazing before! Definitely the wow factor... I can't get enough ... I'll be back soon. if you've never been, book it now! You won't be disappointed.
The best and certainly, most creative afternoon tea in London! Pret-a-Portea is everything afternoon tea in such a fashion forward city like this should be.
The Berkeley is everything you'd expect from a high-class hotel, beautiful lobby entrance with friendly door men to welcome you. The staff are smartly outfitted and even if you can't afford to be a guest in one of the rooms, you are treated exactly as if you were.
The dining room itself is beautifully furnished, with plush seating and high backed sofas for larger groups and the staff are extremely attentive and will go above and beyond to make sure you have a unforgettable experience.
The afternoon tea itself change each fashion season - Autumn/Winter to Spring/Summer collections are used as inspiration for the various cakes, mouses and treats on offer. We've visited a few times and eaten everything from green tea Chanel handbags, chocolate Stella McCartney boot shaped biscuits to Valention gown inspired mouse. Everyone being as delicious as the next!
The presentation is beautiful, the drinks selection is wide and varied and all refillable at no extra cost - aside from the champagne. The plates of your afternoon cakes and savouries are also refillable, and the staff will be on hand to ask if you'd like it refreshed once a plate it empty. Which I find excellent value for money - considering how beautifully crafted everything is and the amount of time you could sit and indulge yourself! Whatever you can't manage to finish will be placed in cute little take out boxes for you to take home.
Be warned, the waiting list is months long to get yourself a table here but you won't regret it! It's an experience you'll be hard pushed to ever beat.
What an amazing afternoon tea experience! We went for a special occaision and all the staff really made it special. plenty of food and drinks for all. Amazing cake creations and we were certainly not leaving wanting more!
Highly recommended!
Well if you have the money why not you will be treated like royalty here. Best to enjoy everything that it has to offer. Would always have a meal. The food is out of this world. Would defo recommend to anyone that wants to stay in London with a touch of class
Have decided to treat my wife with a mom to be treatment in their spa and a day at what was supposed to be their gorgeous rooftop pool. This is a pool that has been heavily featured across internet as one of the best open air rooftop pools in London with pictures looking amazing. However it turns out they decided to stop opening the roof of the pool permanently without so much of a hint on their website or anywhere else. Upon re-visiting their website only thing i could find is disingenuous pictures of the pool implying its open by showing ample natural light while being careful to show no picture of the roof. Miss-leading advertising at its worse. Disgraceful for a 5 star hotel.
Elegant hospitality for an afternoon tea birthday celebration.
Out of this world, this was a birthday treat and I enjoyed every minute of my stay at the Berkeley, our room was amazing, thank you Lillian for the birthday message. Had dinner at Marcus Restaurant which was absolutely spectacular. A big thank you to all - Excellent
Classic English luxury, great location and front of house team
Definately would stay here. Really like the views from rooms. Staff always is helpful.
Just had lunch at the Marcus restaurant. Absolutely brilliant.5*+
Hotel is lovely but expensive. What is not nice is the doormen who greet you when you arrive or go in or out. They are constantly approaching/pestering you for money - it genuinely made me feel embarrassed and harassed. I won t return they because of this. One in particular who had a London accent was a damn nightmare I hated going in or out when he was there. Last night about 16:30 I had to tell him to stop and he laughed in my face. Not the type of treatment I would expect from a so call top London Hotel.
Beautiful hotel with lovely Christmas decorations. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the appalling service I had experienced with my family.
We had an incredibly arrogant waiter serving us afternoon tea. Discarding our requests and forgetting what we had ordered (who forgets to bring tea?!). Moreover, we asked for extra sandwiches in which he insisted that we could only pick "few types of sandwiches" and that he would have to "speak to the manager".
Honestly if anyone is planning to book a table for afternoon tea you're better off next door at The Wolseley or Harrods.
PS: No scones provided!
Staying at The Berkeley is quite an experience.
The rooms are quite nice and comfortable. I have stayed in some rooms that are a nice comfortable size and some that are a little smaller, but work just fine.
The staff is everything you would expect at a luxury London hotel. The Blue Bar is a cool place to hangout for a drink with either friends or a client.
Can't go wrong with The Berkeley.
We went there for the afternoon tea.
The service was good, but were missing the vibes, the staff was not smile at all, music was very low , so the sound of the people in the room was very loud.
The presentation of the food was very nice and sophisticated, the collaboration with Dior is definitely good touch.
Definitely over priced for what they offer.
Exemplary welcome, then I was charmed by the ferrari in front of the hotel
Exquisite service. Warm, friendly staff, superb breakfast include. Excellent shops dining within minutes. Amaya Indian the best restaurant. Same management bas Claridges and Connaught but much more welcoming.
This is my go to Hotel Everytime I visit London .. the room is very nice and cozy and the staffs are very nice and helpful. The location is also very strategic, it is within walking distance to Harvey Nichols Dept store as well as Harrods. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody visiting London
This hotel is starting to feel like my second home.
What a special place, opulent yet warm and friendly, with the most delicious food (and drink) at Marcus ... lovely
Excellent hotel. First class service, comfortable and very well located. Congratulations!
Thank you, Professor Ahmed Bayoumi, for your high-level Islamic treatment of Dr. Mohammed Al-Khalidi to open a special wing to bring his prayers
The professional photos is nicer then a actual, this is a bit small size and old, well may be London central is very expensive to have a little bigger size? Service is very good, clean, just don t expect to be too old then is fine.
If you love fashion you have to visit the Berkeley for their high fashion afternoon tea. The afternoon tea is based on current trends including designers like Vera Wang, Tom Ford etc. The decor is beautiful and everything was designed purposefully.
The service was great, they explained everything about the food and the fashion inspired pieces.
We had a lovely time here and I would highly recommend it!
I am a front line Key Worker and have been visiting the Berkeley Hotel recently, where the Hotel has arranged/prepared and giving it to all front line Key Workers. The Berkeley Hotel should be highly commended for this efforts and this gesture.
I personally like to Thank all the staff involved and the other organizations/individuals who donated towards this good will gesture. Hero's too...
Beautiful bar that mixes an outstanding Bloody Mary
The Berkeley is a very beautiful spacious luxury hotel at the heart of London. The service staff are great. It is very English. I did not fancy the food as much as some of my British colleagues did. It was a good opportunity to go there but it won't be my first choice in the future. This is a famous hotel and not difficult to reach. It is in a good location and not very far from Harrods Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum.
Beautiful, cosy and amazing hotel, nice place to enjoy ur afternoon tea with family and friends
Beautiful venue for a delicious and different afternoon tea.
