Although associated with the adjacent tennis club patrons of the restaurant /bar appear to me to be local middle class and middle aged. It's a pleasant restaurant, busy at meal times. Italian menu. Outside terrace overlooking Hyndland Rd and tennis courts

Weny once again to Caffe Parma, on Hyndland road, in the west end of the city,
Just off from Great western road.
Once again,
My friend and i decided to try something new on the menu, which we had not tried before.
We decided to go for the thin based mozzarella cheese pizza , Atlantic prawn, Salmon, tomato and chilli pasta Ginnoche, with a good size portion of sweet potato fries.
We had extra black pepper and small shavings of parmesan cheese on our food, which made it even more filled with flavours.
The meal was , once again, absolutely Delicious !!!
The staff were again, extremely friendly and helpful. Service was Quick and great, with ALWAYS a friendly smile. I can honestly say that the food was exceptional,again !
Dinner for 2 hungry adults, who have not long finished work and looking forward to a decent sized meal ??!..... Yes, i can honestly say that the food, the service, the friendly staff, the lovely cozy and homely atmosphere, and at the very end, the very reasonably priced meal for 2 adults, eating in a High-classed restuarant in the heart of the West End, was INDEED, a lovely meal INDEED ! This is now the 2nd time, we have chosen to dine at the Caffe Parma on Hyndland road, West End.
I can honestly see the 3rd trip approaching rather soon,(AGAIN) ;) .
I have enjoyed our visits here, every single time, therefore, i am more than happy to recommend this lovely restuarant, where the food is authentic Italian and cooked absolutely fresh to your requirements.
I am more than happy to give this delightfully friendly and Deliciously serving food restuarant, which is so reasonably well priced, considering the prices for the competition, my friend and i both are more than happy to recommend this lovely restuarant and give it the full 5 stars and best review possible, for which it is well deserved INDEED !!!!!.......

Great place for lunch. Lovely sharing platters, with lots more on the main menu. Outside space was lovely. The girls are lovely too. Xx

The best food! Service was brilliant, was worth the drive from Edinburgh!

Nice enough to let us in without a booking, however the food was not up to scratch, we ordered a simple eggs and benedict and our bacon was undercooked. Very basic for the price and coffee was not that good for it being overly pricey as well, the staff are not overly friendly which made the atmosphere a little dull. Much better cafes around the area. Quite disappointed for our first time and it would of been a nice spot that could have been a regular local for us.It s a shame.

Saturday night service was slow, but food was excellent!

My wife and I and my son and Grandson went for lunch on Sunday. A couple off the staff were very uppity. When we were shown to our table it was covered in crumbs from the last sitting they didn't clean it and put our cutlery and napkins down then didn't come back for 15 minutes to ask for our drink order. The food was sub standard needless to say we wont be back.

Busy busy busy which speaks for itself people love it because it is so good wonderful range of original Italian fiduciary to choose from. Enjoy

Starter was cold after a 40 minute wait. Squid was like rubber, has the texture of being previously frozen while the Lasagne was salty and lacked bechamel sauce. Crab Gnocchi tasty but crab shell in the dish made it inedible, waitress seemed alarmed, manager did not care not one bit. A free coffee was offered as compensation, which was simply embarrassing. We eat out a a lot, and had heard such good things. Utterly disgusted when the bill arrived with the gnocchi charged at full price. Will any of us recommend this place? Never. Terrible service, poor cooking standard. Don t bother.

Have been here a few times and was originally very fond of it. However, the last meal I had here was packed with salt and quite frankly, very unappetising. It takes a century to get your plates taken away or your drinks order honoured in this place. The staff are lovely but the manager is either not employing enough staff or is employing inexperienced and slow moving staff, who can't deal with a busy restaurant climate. I've been here when the place was relatively quiet yet it took the staff a very long time to pay attention to my table at all. I also find it totally unacceptable in this day and age for a restaurant full of people to be sharing a condiment dish!! It's very unhygienic and unprofessional! Also, you'll not find any other eatery of any kind giving you a used condiment dish; shoddy! The manager obviously values this practise very much as the same used to happen in Paperinos. Cafe Parma charges the average prices that you'd find in any popular Italian eatery in Glasgow yet doesn't even nearly live up to the quality of these places. Disappointed :(

Excellent food and service. There is a large terrace for al fresco dining and lots of cocktails to enjoy in the sun

Best thin crust pizza with gorgonzola and pear on the planet

Very poor. Low quality pizza, my wife's was burnt on the bottom and mine was very crisp. Ordered second round of drinks which never arrived.
Overall... poor food with terrible service, you won't be getting my money again.

Nice place for a business meeting, WiFi just fine. Great coffee with bottled water provided for meetings. Nice big area with lots of seating. Well worth a visit.

Everything was amazing and excellent. Delicious, nice staffs, reasonable price and nice interior as well as terrace tables.

1st time i have went to this restaurant.
The pizza was authentic italian.
The seafood pasta was nothing like you've had before.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The price for a nice big wonderful delicious and filling meal, was a wonderful experience all-round.
Will definitely be going back to this delightful and cozy restuarant.........

All round reasonable food (pizza and gnocchi, best item was asparagus and truffle pasta);a bit expensive

Came here on a sunny day. The place was busy but we managed to get a table outside in the sun. The staff, except for one barman, was not too attentive and professional. However, the food was good and just the right portion. Would I come back? Yes, but with a hope that the service will improve.

Love this place when you can get in. Seems always fully booked a long ways forward. Awesome service and staff. Food okay. Wish they could accommodate better use of free tables while waiting for each session to end. Seems a waste when you just need a quick visit. I am sure they could better utilise covers by saying table is free for just 30mins - is that okay with you? We will be asking you to go at X time. Great having this on the doorstep. We need more like this.

Didn't get in,also phoned ,no luck; gave up,picky lot,their loss. Serves local posers only.Location is not enough,full of self entitlement.They also serve,who stand & wait?Usually outside on pavement!!Not a patch on Santa Lucia,Byers Road.Probably serve you now out on pavement,not so fussy.

The food in this place is amazing !! But what let s this place down is the service. Now I ve been twice because I thought that maybe they were having a bad day, but I returned and this time with my child. They ignored us BOTH times. We had to order our food at the bar because they just didn t come to the table. They sat us down at a dirty table and still ignored us. Now all the white people in the restaurant got served even people that came AFTER us, but both times myself, friend and child all got ignored and we are black.

Word of advice..DO BETTER !

When we arrived they couldn't find our booking 5 minutes to be seated, then after another fifteen minutes someone arrived to finally take our drinks order, only after they had taken our food order were we told of the specials board too little too late! Almost 40 minutes to finally get food in front of us. Food was nothing to write home about either had better for less money.Staff we completely inattentive and seem frankly bored so my advice would be go elsewhere.

Causal dining at this west end restaurant. The staff were really nice and knowledgeable. The decor is simple clean and modern, it is on the grounds of a tennis club, sitting on its own in the west end. The food was excellent, the party had pizza and pasta dishes, pizza apparently was second best ever (so something to work on!!) All in all highly recommended. Please note you will need to book a table it is busy

Below average food, maybe the worst pizza in Glasgow. Both a meat and veg pizza was full of oil and grease? Is this do to using inferior cheese or lack of fresh ingredients, the veg looked like it had came from a jar rather than being freshly roasted on site. Morzallera stick starter also tasteless, and wine on other was poor as well, only popular due to its affulent location, but if your after a nice Italian meal go else where.

Good food and service. Large portions, nice atmosphere and easy parking. Reasonable prices.

Tuesday morning for a coffee. Main member of staff rude to me on 2 occasions, lukewarm coffee, music far too loud, couldn't here yourself think. Overall, very disappointed and won't be back.

Great night as usual in this fab cafe. Food great and love the wee blackboard specials. Lemon chicken, Haggis bon bon's, deep fried courgettes. Lovely. Wine good and service with a smile. Worth every penny.

Nice food but the din from other diners is just too much. Suggest you go midweek to avoid the racket!

Went to this place randomly with a friend in this sunny afternoon. This place seems quite luxury besides outdoor sports place. However, it is the most weird place in Glasgow. Because 1. they served extremely slowly: we ordered two cups of coffee and a cake, but we got them after 13 minutes waiting; 2. the normal female staff performed professionally, but a male staff in mid-age in shirt with a supervisor/manager looking acted aggressively and unfriendly. He showed cold face during the whole process of I paying for bill; moreover, he did not say a word and not give me change. That was an extremely disappointed experience in this place. Won't recommend it to anyone.

This is my "home away from home". Love Parma, the best place to go in Hyndland - bar none.

My wife and I visited the restaurant on Saturday night.
We had been given a gift of vouchers at Christmas and booked a table. As would be expected on a Saturday evening the restaurant was very full so it was good that we had booked.

Prior to visiting we had checked the reviews some of which were less than complimentary about either the food or staff.

We found the staff very efficient and helpful.
The food was delicious and the portions were such that I was unable to finish my main course which is an unusual event for me.

I can only assume that the people who left poor reviews were very unfortunate at the time of their visit.

It is a very good restaurant with good ambiance, excellent service and delicious food. We will definitely be back.

Food excellent, service dreadful. Took an hour to take our order, over two hours for lunch. Unacceptable for a lunch!

Some great simple Italian food in a buzzy ambience, with friendly staff.

One of the relatively new eating houses in the West end, but already well established. An excellent choice of food from the menu and special board from delicious traditional Italian pasta and pizza, to sea food and fish dishes.
It has an array of wines and spirits to held the food go down and some of the most knowledgeable staff in Hyndland when it comes to meal ingredients and contents, as well as being very friendly.
Definately worth a visit, and a return visit!

We ate here on Saturday lunchtime.
The food was below average, chips frozen in the centre.
White wine was warm.
Service slow.
Windows need blinds, we were blinded by the sun and had to resort to sunglasses.
Expensive.

Service is a little random, otherwise, place and menu are OK

Burnt starter, main with watery chicken cold returned twice to reheat and third time remade and not third time lucky. Are it because hungry and fed up with complaining. The water was free and most definitely the best part although couldn t get service to wash down the grubby food.

Staff are fabulous once you get a table. Bit of a frosty first welcome but they were busy late afternoon. Just had coffee and needed a plug for laptop...couldn't have been more helpful. Food looked good, smelt good and wished I could've stayed longer
