From the first call to Marburn, as a parent desperately hoping to find a better environment for my son to learn and grow in knowledge, emotionally and socially, I literally cried at how validating but hopeful that conversation was. Every interaction from that moment has far exceeded my expectations. No place is perfect but the staff and teachers work so hard to do the right thing for our children and our children's best interest absolutely come first with the decisions the school makes. They foster the development of the whole child while they are at school and provide seminars for parents to better understand their child's challenges, how to encourage them, hold them accountable and create an environment for them to thrive in. "Specials" are attended every week fostering the varied interests of many kids (technology, sports, art, drama and music) even in elementary. Even during the pandemic I couldn't have asked for a more organized, gracious and flexible response to ensure our children's learning continued and that opportunities during the summer to retain skills are being offered. We made sacrifices to have both our children attend Marburn and it is has been totally worth it.

Sending our son, Luke, to Marburn Academy has been the best decision not only him, but for our entire family. The teachers and entire staff promote such a positive and engaging learning environment. The students are challenged academically and are given the support needed to succeed in and out of the classroom. Luke is shining brighter, has more confidence, and is happy! The stress of worrying and advocating has been lifted and we can spend time as a family doing things we love. Thank you, Marburn!

Marburn Academy has been a lifesaver not only for our daughter but for our family as well. For years my daughter has struggled with reading comprehension due to her hearing loss and we struggled with finding the help she needed to succeed and feel confident. From the moment we began the process of applying, my daughter was happy and had hope, hope that she could learn differently but also exactly how she needed to learn. She transitioned seamlessly for her 4th grade year and made new friends. She also found teachers who guided her in the Orton Gillingham method. She found confidence in reading, she found confidence in deciphering sounds and most importantly she found friends who were just like her. Home life changed as well, no more fighting to do homework, some days she even looked forward to it. I love that when she discovers a new way to learn a concept she teaches us! While the school year did not end as we had hoped, I can say that Marburn did an incredible job of engaging the kids and setting schedules so they could stay on top of what they were learning. For anyone who is a parent and you are at your wit's end on how to find help for your child to succeed, I encourage you to consider Marburn and see for yourself what we have experienced with our own child.

Marburn Academy's faculty and staff really brought the relief and reassurance we needed as parents to know our son would get the education he needs in the styles that work for him. The teaching staff is very close to every student and works with them individually on learning strategies and goals. The staff in every educational division level is open to discussing any challenges (academic or social) that our son wants to bring to their attention. We feel both parents and students are heard at Marburn and we are glad we found the school.

Marburn is a very special place. It is an environment that is welcoming and fun for the kids and family but also manages to maintain exceptional academic standards. We have seen our daughter advance academically as well as socially in just the first year at Marburn, even with distance learning in the last semester.
We are looking forward to see what is in store next year and beyond. We trust that Marburn will continue to expect only the best from their students and support them all along the way in their own individual journeys. We are so thankful to be a part of the Marburn community, it has altered our daughter s journey for the best in so many ways.

Our son began attending Marburn Academy in the 5th grade and will be a Sophomore this year. Although we were concerned about transferring schools, Marburn was the best educational decision we ever made for him. He receives a customized high-quality education from truly dedicated teachers and staff members who work with each other, parents, and students to find the best way for your child to learn. The teachers regularly communicate successes in the classroom and social interactions observed and are always available to answer questions. The smaller classroom sizes are ideal for individualized attention. The teachers also collaborate with each other to determine goal-oriented strategies for each student. All these things have positively impacted our son who came from being frustrated and feeling left behind to a student who enjoys going to school and learning. We know he is at the best school possible to help prepare him for the future.

Marburn is a hit or miss. Unless your child is seriously struggling, I highly suggest you do NOT send them here. Incredibly overpriced for a nonprofit school who supposedly has the same curriculum as a public school.. They don t do nearly enough preparation for the real world which has resulted in the social/mental isolation of many students. Not once had I felt challenged at this school, they do not push you whatsoever. The school allows students to get away with whatever, there are very little consequences. 2/5

Marburn is a place like no other. So many differences you can see- the low teacher to student ratio, the teaching style, the accommodations that are standard in every classroom, and the curriculum tailored to each student to name a few. However, what gives Marburn its magic are the people that are in that building. Teachers that will go the distance every day for your child. People who are looking beyond the surface, digging deeper and really getting to understand what makes your child who they are. It is a level of caring, concern and professionalism like no other. Children learn they matter, that their thoughts are valid, that they have something to add- they see their value and their worth through the eyes of others. And that is a life changer.

honestly I was probably an absolute horrible student to try to teach anything related to math and somehow they were able to get me to pass algebra II and advanced algebra in the same year and help me graduate, definitely earned 5/5 in my books.
