I would give 0 stars if I could. The treatment of the chickens is unbelievably cruel. The smell from this facility is unbearable. The trucks delivering the chickens are covered in chicken feces, and it falls from the higher chickens onto the lower chickens in the truck. I saw a chicken foot left behind in the truck, which was most likely forcefully detached from a poor chicken as a crate was being lifted from the truck. This treatment of animals is unacceptable. The chickens were crammed in crates with so many other chickens, and I saw some chickens had died before they even made it to the slaughterhouse.

(former employee) I worked here for nearly 5 years before out of a necessity, changed jobs. Maple Leaf Poultry works to the highest standards of the industry. It's a great place to work and build a future. Great people to work with, as are management too.

Disgusting place. No ethics. Needless murder, smelly place, needs to be shut down.

The new version of the mini beefsteak pies are ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The is no filling except for two tiny pieces of gristle. And one pea and one carrot. The gravy is really light in colour and very very bland. They call it beef and vegetablep mini pies now. I bought the new recipe tried one pie and threw the rest in the garbage. I bought these pies for over 30 years before they changed it. They just lost me as a customer. All the schneiders Brand products suck now.
