If you go to Vegas and you end up at the Venetian... And you happen to be they're with somebody special... Then after you visit Madame Tussauds Wax Museum you have to take a ride in an authentic Venetian gondola. It's about $80 for a couple but totally worth the experience. Tray elegant!!! And the gondola drivers are hilarious. If you don't make it to Venice in your lifetime this will be the closest you'll get to the real thing. Super cool!

I've visited the Canals few times before. In every visit I find new and intresting sights. While this area is a residential neighborhood and most of the residents don't want to be disturbed, there are some that enjoy the attention given to them by the tourists.

It s Surprising that a place this so quiet is so close to Venice beach. If you are in the area and want a nice tranquil walk this is a great place for it. Not a whole lot to do here but it s a great place to walk and talk.

Such a memorable place. The best was getting lost in the narrow walkways and canals after midnight. I was nervous but I noticed there are people on the streets at all times of the day. Later I found most suggest to see it at night because the stone figures and walls seem to come to life in the pale of moonlight.

So beautiful and scenic.

So beautiful and scenic.
A must for photos.
It's more Italy than Los Angeles.
I love it.

Great view of the man made canals. Can walk along the small sidewalk, cross bridges and take pictures. Some hotels/airbnb's no doubt around this area. Scenic and a site to see if you're visiting the city. We parked by Abbot Kinney (by Inteligensia coffee) and walked to the canals. Probably the best decision because parking can be tricky.

Update: We went to the Venice Canals in Feb 2019, and they were looking pretty weak. There isn't a lot of water and the canals seemed to have dried up, leaving some boats and canoes on soil (see pic). I was shocked to see this.

A quiet residential place with a wonderful view. Immersed in nature, there are several canals and you can walk along the banks crossing wooden bridges surrounded by flowers and green palms. Very impressive with varied and in some cases very particular house architecture! To visit!

Definitely worth the visit! This has to be in your LA list. It is a 25 minute walk if you walk across the Venice Boardwalk. The canals are dirty but it's worth strolling around the place for a bit, looking at the absolutely stunning houses by its side.

This place is absolutely breathtaking, with unique houses surrounding the canals. A great place to go for a walk on a sunny day, you'll enjoy the great effort people have spent on their houses and some of them generous enough to leave great views for the passerbys. Also very close to Venice Beach.

It is a quiet area where the community is surrounded by canals. Not a lot of people are around except occasionally there are a few visitors and tourists so it is a good place to take an afternoon stroll.

A peaceful walk along the canals and some beautiful little houses. Lots of wildlife, and a rarity in the States, no cars. All the houses are immaculate with little tended gardens. Possibly out of the price bracket of any reality I know, but nevertheless lots of quirks and very relaxing.
