Wen't for a wedding, was fantastic. Staff were genial and seemed to be set on making sure everyone enjoyed their day, as well as enjoying themselves in the process. The location was beautiful too.

Beautiful old manor house. We attended a wedding. Grand oak clad rooms, log fire in entrance hall, stunning garden, must look wonderful in summer. Wish we'd stayed at hotel its self.
Beautiful building nestled away with stunning gardens and intricate woodwork throughout, the staff are incredible and do all they can to ensure you are well looked after, the highlight for myself is the rock room, with its nostalgic feel and large array of memorabilia, truly a superb visit
Attended a retreat here with fountain retreats. Service was excellent and the building and gardens were everything that I thought it would be. Location very very deceiving but that made it all the more special
I have photographed a good few weddings at Manor by the Lake and am always impressed by the level of service they provide. I have attended both indoor and outdoor weddings and no matter what, the wedding coordinator can not do enough for the bride and groom. Their food is also excellent!
Really lovely setting for a wedding. Have driven past so many times and i would never have believed such a lovely secluded place was hidden so close to the road!
Fantastic Olde Worlde Wedding venue in Cheltenham where Mary me and my daughter Sarah attended the nuptuals of Mary's nephew Greg Richard Sherwood and Victoria Bucki the food and drink were excellent and the Wedding Breakfast of a duck starter and beef main course and lemon syllabub were all excellent and very tasty and appetizing all in all an excellent venue and day as we stayed in the Cheltenham Travelodge a 4 minute walk away although we could have stayed in the Manor By the Lake Wedding venue for a hundred pounds for the night....a real bargain including a nice Wedding Breakfast Keith Bracey
Lovely manor in a secluded area, which takes you away from the outside world. Very spacious rooms, with a large dining room and games room. The tunnel from the dining room to the games room is interesting. There's also a large function area adjacent to the manor, for wedding receptions.
Very nice garden and house, although it's a slightly strange setting right in an industrial type estate. The staff were not the most helpful, but we enjoyed the wedding and the food was excellent. I would be interested to see the rest of the house and stay over night there.
My gorgeous friends held their wedding here and what a beautiful venue dating right back to the 11th century! Wood panelling, 12 bespoke bedrooms, a rock bar, topiary, gardens and gothic architecture- what s not to love!
What an amazing place this is! Great wedding venue! Great little boutique hotel. Totally thought I was in the wrong place with the closeness to the trading estate but that doesn t impact on anything due to the well planted borders giving you secluded/private venue. Loved the function room and the dining/breakfast room. Amazed at all the intricate wood carving about the place, loved the quality bathrooms in the various suites. My children loved getting their own toiletries to use. Food was excellent for the wedding breakfast, evening meal and breakfast in the morning. They even have a bank of TESLA chargers. Shame I couldn t get my non-TESLA electric car to charge on this equipment!?!? Drinks selection at the function room bar was excellent (never seen a bottle of vodka shaped like an AK-47 before!!) would wholeheartedly recommend this place as a wedding venue and would definitely return to the hotel given the chance.
Beautiful gothic manor, perfect for your wedding. Individually decorated rooms and wedding ceremony options for the larger or more intimate weddings. Attention to detail is spot on with high quality management and staff. Ample parking in a most beautiful setting tucked away. Amazing gardens well kept. Definitely worth visiting
Don't be tempted to check it out without an appointment - the manager chased me around the lake. Decided to take my event somewhere else - oops - be careful who you tell off !
Visited as a part of my work, beautiful building and grounds surrounded by industry. The staff I've met are fabulous....friendly and so professional and the venue is gorgeous.
I had the total pleasure of visiting the Manor last week (for a wedding).. What and amazing venue. Hidden away in a superb location and close to Cheltenham. (I was a visiting supplier/Magician, so I ge to compare and see a lot of venues!!) The Manor by the Lake ticks all the boxes! - The staff are just so helpful, really professional and did what ever necessary to make sure everything went perfectly during the event. - The main house and grounds are amazing with a really cool contemporary Pop bar. This is just perfect for guests as they wait for the bride and Groom before and after the ceremony. - The main banqueting suite is also lovely, the food they served was also perfect. The best bit about this room is that it can be set up for the evening (including the DJ loading and setting up) without everyone having to leave the venue. Which is often a problem that other wedding venues have. The Manor By the Lake is such a great venue in every way. I cant wait to visit again!
Attended confrence, venue was nice. Poor directions to parking arrangements.served coffee and tea on arrival, but coffee was very strong and overbrewed. Sadly as venue was spacious with good projection, the seats were attrotious, being very unstable, uncomfortable and tiring to sit in after 1hr, making the event uncomfortable, especially as they were so loose and rickety. The lunch buffet was very nice and the staff helpful, just let down by seating and coffee.
My husband and I got married here on 3rd October 2019 and it was truly beautiful. The staff are so attentive abd really care about every detail. Throughout the wedding process, leading up to the day, they held regular meetings and no request was too difficult or awkward. Sarah was our wedding coordinator and she kept everything running smoothly. The rooms were stunning and everyone commented on how gorgeous the Manor was. It is ideal for weddings and I highly recommend it. Such an amazing day, thank you to all of you at Manor by the Lake xx
My sister's wedding reception here was absolutely wonderful. Delicious food, lovely venue and beautiful surroundings. There is a fair amount of parking but be prepared for a trek through the trees to get to the beautiful Manor. (Shoes got a bit muddy!)
Great venue to take over and use for a wedding. Be careful on cost management, as things find a way of adding up, but otherwise it is lovely and I highly recommended it.
The staff here were really nice at the wedding reception I recently went to. Well kept and very interesting building too. A cut above many wedding venues once seen close up.
Spent a wonderful day and evening stay...from the moment of arrival the staff could not do enough for you and the food was excellent. I really enjoyed the whole experience the appearance of exterior and interior the hounds all lead to this wonderful experience
I was here a couple of months ago and hope to return soon as the gardens will look amazing in the spring/summer.
The Victorian manor house is set in sizeable grounds with impressive avenues, a lake and Italian gardens. But it's the Manor itself that really shines with individually styled rooms - a huge roll top bath in the window - stunning ballroom, wood panelled library and function rooms, all supported by excellent service.
This is a Gorgeous wedding venue!..I have made and delivered many wedding cakes for this venue..it always looks stunning and the staff are fantastic!! (Jennifer from storyteller cakes)
This is an amazing venue! Manor by the Lake hosted our wedding and all our guests found the rooms and service excellent. It's a great location and the staff were very attentive with us all. Would definitely recommend this venue to future couples wanting to get married.
Wow this venue is just beautiful in every way. The grounds are a joy to explore, the interior of the Manor is beautifully hand crafted, the ballroom is elegant and best of all it has a man cave. I m thrilled me and my wife chose this venue for our wedding day. It made our special day truly magical. The staff were brilliant from the start of our journey all the way up to the day after our wedding. A massive thanks to Siobhan who helped us so much from March 2017 to the day. A huge thanks to the team on the day for making everything so easy and comfortable. A huge shoutout to the chefs!!!! They provided what most of our guests described as the best wedding food they have ever had. It was just delicious and the trio of desserts were divine. I can t explain how much we enjoyed our day at the Manor but I would definitely recommend this for any wedding because it was truly incredible and I won t ever regret choosing it as my venue. Thank you for making our wedding day so memorable.
