Some of the best food in Clayton, but the service could be a bit faster.

Never had a bad experience with any of the food, grade A quality and first class all the way, definitely recommended on any day of the week, twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday.

Good atmosphere. Great service, good prices and great food. Best restaurant in Clayton. Hands down.

Food is always decent with average service. Would go again.

This place is great. I can't remember a bad experience. I had my rehersal dinner here a couple years ago.

The absolute best spinach and amazing scallops I have ever had. Great food, great deserts, but portions could be bigger.
White chocolate banana spring roll to die for. Everyone needs to try it. I will eat here again. Highly recommend

I ordered the crabcakes, onion rings, gumbo and a loaded baked potato. It was all amazing! The dip for the onion rings was superb! Highly recommended!!!

You do not need to travel to Raleigh to get high end food at a reasonable price. This place has excellent food with attention to detail. Plating, flavor, and balance are on point. Ambiance is quaint and clean. Restrooms are very clean as well. Over all I can say the management obviously cares about their customer experience and the kitchen staff in particular are top notch. Highly recommend giving this place your business.

I want to give a huge shoutout to the manager, Courtney, for all her help! I had ordered Manning s through Grubhub and when it was delivered I found that one of my meals was incorrect. I contacted the restaurant and explained the situation. Courtney said she s had many people complain about Grubhub and when I said I d order the meal again for pickup this time, she said it was on the house. I greatly appreciate all her help and have nothing but great experiences with Manning s.

Good place to eat, I just wish they would change the menu a little more.

Everyone else loved their dishes; scallops, gumbo, steak and fish. My mother in law and I had their version of veggie burgers. She loved it, but I guess I'm super critical but I didn't think mine had any flavor. The Beyond Burgers that you buy in the store are still way better. Believe it or not The Cheesecake Factory has a way better burger than most restaurants. The rest of my meal was ok. Service was great though!.

None of workers wore a mask. Mask mandate is still in effect in all of NC, inside or outside. Good food, but won't go back until they follow this simple statewide rule.

Good food, terrible mix drinks with a premium price

Omg!!! The spinach artichoke dip served with the pita bread. That Peta has to be laced with crack cocaine - I cannot get enough!!!

Wings over cooked. Tending to be the norm. Same menu for years. Server a little delayed with critical after work beverages. They need to step it up...but then again, there are only a couple good restaurants in the area, so I guess there's no real incentive. Used to be more consistent.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The owner is so kind and sweet. I love the variety and the specials. This is my favorite date night spot. There is nothing on the menu I haven t had. Literally everything is so good!!!

Great local restaurant and bar. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Menu was not overwhelming and had amazing selections found in high end restaurants. There was even a great venue for a live band with some very talented blues musicians. Thanks!

This place is SMACK! Great your tastebuds and go to Mannings. We visit here frequently like at least once a week. If you are ever in town on a clear, good temp day/night...you should try the rooftop dining. I love it. The owner/chef is an all out good guy! He cooks with passion and you can taste it. Everything is delish...the ribs, shrimp and grits, wings-houie mowie, salads, pasta,salmon, steak. The whole menu is good!! And you MUST try the cheesecake!! Listen this guy works Cheesecake better than LeBron plays basketball. He is always cooking up different flavors...Banana Pudding, Reese, Pumpkin, oh my goodness just too many to list. Last thing...always ask for the specials because they are not on the menu but the are smackalicious too!!

I visited with a family member who lives in clayton to pick food up a few months back. The bar was packed with people not wearing masks, and they did not have a pickup system that enabled us to pick food up while social distancing. The whole time I was in Mannings awaiting my pickup order, I was concerned over the proximity to other people and the lack of staff members wearing masks. My family includes a diabetic brother in law and a newborn with respiratory challenges, and we simply don't feel safe setting foot in Mannings now with the level of mask adherence we saw on display.

Hope to be back for some Onion Rings once the vaccine gets approved.

This is friendly place in downtown Clayton. Excellent crab cake sandwich. They are maintaining social distancing so seating may be limited. Good for lunch after riding the local Greenway.

Had lunch today for the first time! Great food and atmosphere!
Service was great too, going back for dinner soon.

45 minute wait for a burger in an almost empty restaurant, and bland over priced food.

Additional review: late August eating outside is not a good idea. We have been attacked by flies. We brought a guest from Spain and we are quite embarrassed by the flies.

Excellent food and service. Everyone loved their meal. It was too bad we left no room for dessert.

The staff was not was not wearing masks this evening so we decided to go elsewhere. Restaurant staff should really be wearing masks right now. I only saw 1 staff member wearing one.

Food was okay and not the issue. My family and I got there shortly before 5pm on a Saturday and they had some slasher horror movie on tv in front of my kids and our waitress reeked of a gag inducing mix of cigarettes, skunk weed, BO and bad perfume. It'll be a while before we go back.

The blackened Salmon and loaded baked potato was delicious.

The best restaurant hands down in Clayton. Everything on the menu is spectacular and they have a knack for elevating simple dishes into something extraordinary. They also have great service and a really nice bar if you want a quick bite. Can't recommend enough.

I went here for a bachelorettes party and I loved place. The atmosphere was very welcoming and modern. The food was also amazing, I had the chicken and it was so flavorful and tender. The waitress we had for the night was amazing, she was very kind and engaging.

Food was good, however, in a pandemic nobody wears masks or takes precautions and proud of it! I would highly recommend Don Betos! Great food and service!

Our first time here! Food was definitely worth waiting for. The spinach dip and pita chips were excellent. Good service, restrooms were very clean and atmosphere comfortable. Good job! Hubby says "Wow! My taste buds are happy"!

Hubby and I dined here for the first time. First date night in a long time. We were very satisfied with the food, the ambience, the service, the owner/chef Howard. We had dined at a table on the rooftop outdoors with gas heaters. Romantic and comfy. Hubby had the gumbo and I had crab cake. So tasty. Not too salty, spicy or bland. Moist crab cake with all crab and crispy on outside. It paired so well with the other ingredients of the dish. You can taste the ingredients. Nothing hiding behind one flavor. My palette enjoyed all the flavors. I like to actually taste my seafood. Our server Bree (Or Bri) was very attentive, fun and professional. She has an amazing memory and feel for people. Not visiting us every minute, it was just right. The owner came out on the rooftop to turn heaters on for us guests. He was caring and enjoyable to chat with. His food recommendations were right on. We like him, our server, the food, the place. We will be back and refer all our friends.

We went for lunch today and it was very disappointing to see how none of the workers at the restaurant were wearing masks and hence increasing the chance of spreading covid to customers!

I'm in love with their sweet potato fries. There is great space upstairs for private parties and rooftop deck.

Not impressed service was super slow, food was ok, but nothing to go back for.

I came here for our 15th anniversary with my wife. I dropped my wife off at the door while I parked. While she was inside she was ignored by the hostess the whole time. I walked in just behind a party of 4 and the hostess immediately greeted them and once again ignored my wife standing right there.

After getting someone's attention we confirmed our reservation and waited. Another couple were seated while we waited, a minute or so later we were told our table was ready. After being led into the restaurant It became clear there was confusion. It turns out the hostess sat the other couple, thst were walk-ins, at the table that was supposed to be ours. At this point I was ok with just taking the next table but the hostess told the other couple to get up and wait again! The obviously agitated couple got up and just left the restaurant

Appetizer was great, we had the spinach and artichoke dip. While waiting for the entree the band started playing, very loudly. Don't try me wrong I'm a fan of live music, but I could no longer even talk to my wife without shouting and even then repeating the same sentences so she could hear me was typical.

The entree took a long time to show up, 35 minutes after our appetizer plate was taken a away. Why do I know it was 35 minutes? Because I couldn't talk so I kept looking at the time. No reason or apology was given so I assume this is normal?

My food was good, but my wife ordered a half-spinach salad that was so small it was served on an appetizer sized plate, yet cost $13.. But the awful service and loud band really killed it for us. So I'm sat here writing this review waiting for my bill because I can't talk to my wife on my anniversary.

We won't be back, there's too many better choices.

About two weeks ago, took a few friends who just moved here to you restaurant for lunch, thr waitress was not to friendly and ends up spilling a full glass of wine on my friend getting all over her, not once dny one come over to oplaigize instead that came over with a mop to clean the mess and did indeed charge us for the wine she was alful if I know shes there I wont comeback

I have never left a one star review, nor am I one to post about an experience but this place really dropped the ball tonight....onion rings were delicious, but our meals were horrible along with the service. Waitress never came to check on our table once entrees arrived and the food was extremely bland with no flavor at all. Crab cakes were dry and mush and the angel hair shrimp and chicken had no flavor, along with very dry chicken and very tough shrimp. Very disappointed.

Awesome restaurant! I would highly recommend it. I moved here from Myrtle Beach, SC and this restraunt blew me away with the flavor.

Top notch restaurant in Clayton. Love the gumbo and shrimp and grits, the beer is good too. I always stop by when passing through Clayton.
