Went through process with the Mortgage company... sort of... Started with a Broker named Robert- who seemed nice- not sure what happened to him. I was moved over to Joe. Team was very proactive in contacting me up front. I was concerned that I still hadn't been able to lock in a rate for 30 years... but continued forward. I planned on leaving the country in mid May, so there was mad dash to finish.

Unfortunately at the finish, I was left wondering what happened. I now have a copy of an appraisal that I paid for (I had to ask for that), email threads with multiple document transfers, but no idea what happened or the status of my loan application-- which I asked for several times over the past month and a half.

I would either use a different broker or a reputable lender that will follow through.

I used them two years in row for seperate houses. First time i did not get a locked rate until a week before closing..they made it sound like im going to get a good rate and not to worry about preliminary paperwork. Then at the end i get stuck with a higher rate than planned and it happens at the end right before closing date. This time around the same issue happened. They stuck me with a higher rate than planned at the ending, but i had to fight for it to be fixed, which they did. However there was a second issue, they also charged me $4,300 in points that on top of the loan fee of $1,290 that i tried to fight for two weeks and i ended up paying it because you just want to close and they took advantage of it. Right after i moved in and after closing, they sold the mortgage off to another company and made more money on it. My advice is do not get strung along with promises and ask for the rate lock within two weeks of starting your loan application. If not, you will get stuck with a higher rate than planned and/or mortgage points. My broker was named jacqueline and audrey francis worked together on it

I worked here for two weeks the processors and underwriters were seriously nasty. Check the fees they charge you your better off going to a reputable bank otherwise they charge unnecessary fees to do your loan

I was pre qualified for a loan. Submitted all my paperwork, bank statements, etc.. I was told I was good for loan. Few weeks later I was told they misread my paperwork and I didn't qualify for loan due high debt to income ratio. I then explain to loan officer you should of caught this in the qualification process. I was in the process of selling and buying a house at the same time and was already in contract on both houses . They really screwed me over. Don't use this bank.

Mark Bader is THE BEST. This was our first time ever pursuing a home mortgage so we had many questions, and definitely needed the right guidance. After meeting with 2 other Mortgage Bankers (any not feeling great about them) we came in contact with Mark Bader from United Northern Mortgage Bankers, and it was the best thing that happened.

POOR communication skills, after 27 days waiting and mailing documents on the day i was to be locked into a rate i never received a call, the next day i called to find out the status of my V.A. loan and then i was told the person handling my loan was no longer working there and i was not approved, was i ever going to be notified? I would not recommend this company.

We were lucky to have Patrick Gibson assist us in this new adventure. He was prompt and professional. He made sure we had understanding on all the steps and did not hesitate to call us when we had questions. I could not recommend him or the company enough! JOE MANZIONE: THE MIRACLE WORKER

There are not enough words to express our appreciation for the incredible job Joe Manzione did when our backs were against the wall. He worked a MIRACLE and saved us from losing our down payment and risk of incurring possible additional financial damages.

We were working with a major national bank for two months who was making the loan approval process an absolute nightmare. The loan officer of the major national bank would not return my phone calls, the underwriting team made ridiculous requests, and we were running out of time to fulfill the terms of the purchasing agreement. My wife and I lost a lot of sleep.

Our lawyer was getting equally frustrated and she referred us to Joe. I presented our dire situation to Joe and his enthusiasm and get it done attitude gave me confidence there would be a positive outcome to our difficult situation.

Joe laid out a game plan. Our challenge was time. We needed to get everything completed in two weeks. I have purchased a number of properties in the past and it is unheard of to get a mortgage commitment letter, underwriting approval, and clearance to close in such a short period of time.

Joe originally estimated three weeks to complete the process. Unfortunately, we only had two weeks to perform under our contract. We would need a concession from the seller to extend our performance timeline. Unfortunately, the sellers were under the gun to complete the purchase of their new home.

Joe executed his plan to perfection. He always answered my phone calls and was very specific and exact in what records and documentation was necessary to satisfy the strict requirements of lending. I remained positive and encouraged because Joe was always reinforcing what can be done.

Little did I know Joe would use every available resource to expedite our file. I received hourly updates on the progress of our loan application. Amazingly, it felt as if I was Joe s only customer.

Joe completed the loan process in SEVEN days. Yes, you read that right, SEVEN days. We were able to meet the terms and conditions of our purchasing agreement and all parties were amazed, shocked, and thankful for the incredible hard work and dedication of Joe.

I have never worked with such a professional, uplifting, and attentive loan officer. Joe Manzione is one of a kind. I will refer others and give Joe all of my future mortgage business. We were blessed to be connected with Joe.

Jean Volcy of UNMB is knowledgeable, honest and professional and he was able to answer my million questions and also advise and guide me through the mortgage refinance process. I did a refinance for a lower rate and to remove PMI and now I m saving hundreds. I got a fantastic rate, lower than expected, and he advised me when to lock my rate in. I did a CEMA which saved thousands on closing cost and his lawyers completed the CEMA process within the expected timeline. Jean made the refinance process soo smooth I was more excited than when I purchased the home. I guess it s also because I m saving big bucks since my mortgage is almost $1000 lower! My home valued more than when I purchased almost 2 yrs ago so I didn t have to come out of pocket any $$$. All closing cost was rolled into my new mortgage and I even received a check. I have recently been working with United Northern for a mortgage loan. I told Monique Blakelney (the women handling my loan) that I was injuried on the job and was collecting workers comp. She was totally fine with it at the time. Fast forward a few months now finding what me and my wife thought was "our house" and investing money on a inspection. We close on this house in a few weeks when Monique calls me after asking for a ton a paperwork regarding workers comp and says they can't close the deal until I go back to work for at least 30 days. So my issue is why wasn't that the first thing she said to me months ago when I first told her I was on workers comp. She could of said that's fine but we won't be able to finish a deal until you go back to work, which would of been fine. At this point I already put money out for the inspection, plus $1000 and I'm going to lose the house that my wife and I fell in love with. This was going to be my first house so I had no clue. BAD COMMUNICATION on United Northerns behalf! DONT USE THIS LENDER!!!! Once I return to work I'm getting my loan through PFCU.

If I could give Mark S. Fisher a hundred more stars I would. Mark and his team are extremely efficient, professional and delightful to work with. Any time I had a question for him or his team I would get a response almost immediately. Mark explained the whole mortgage process to both me and my fiance and we also got an excellent rate! Refinanced quickly within 2 weeks. I went previously through Bethpage and Chase but got a better rate from United Northern and Dropped almost $400 monthly from previous loan

First time home buying is a nerve wracking endeavor and no matter how much you read and try to prepare, nothing is as good as first hand experience with someone by your side. My wife and I were in that boat and while we were hesitant about not going with a bank, the listing for our new place had Marty's info so we decided to give him a shot.

From the beginning he was very communicative and honest in his opinions and our options. Him and his team were very good at allaying our concerns and fears about the whole process of obtaining a mortgage and even helping us out with getting our commitment letter readated for the contract even though it would have been a bear to do. They were super helpful in explaining the process of obtaining the loan and the different terms and definitions.

The one and only thing I can ding him on is that he promised to show up to the signing so we can personally thank him for everything but alas, things got busy at the office so he didn't make it out. Overall, if you need someone reliable, honest, and patient to help guide you through the loan process, can't ask for better people to go with than Marty and his team.
