Dealer of 15 years, never had a worse experience. Had a "if" bid on a vehicle that was countered at original floor. I accepted the counter and had it finalized, in the meantime, the seller picked up the vehicle and sold it to a retail customer, all within about 8 hours. Manheim Denver says "nothing we can do, he picked up the vehicle." Just a horribly run auction and a horrible experience!

From a car hauler prospective. They don't allow over night parking. Flying j is a 1/4 mile down same block. If you have an inop they have a payloader forklift like copart and they will come to truck lot to unload.

Greedy. They use temps. Abuse full timers.

Greedy. They use temps. Abuse full timers.
Customers, is, dealers brokers, ownership treat you like like you are dirty scum.
Swallow any thoughts that you think they respect you, or even think of you as a human being.
Don't speak. Do what you are told.
There are 3 ways

The right way.
The wrong way.
The Mannheim way.
The first two will get you fired.

And if they want your opinion, they will give it to you.

They tout safety...
LMAO, you better watch your ads.

It is a last ditch way to make a dollar.
You are human feces to the company.

So, in only approx the last 3 months, I have experienced the following LARGE problems/lack of attention to detail:

A. I paid for a vehicle in cash, 16k. Received a paid in full receipt, and gate pass to remove the vehicle. Title was mailed to me a short time later, maybe about a week. Of course the gate pass would not have been issued, and the title would not have been mailed HAD THE VEHICLE NOT BEEN PAID IN FULL. There's no way around that with Manheim. So approx 2.5-3 weeks after paying for the car, I received a call from that location, get this: asking when I was going to pay for that car!!!! Flabbergasted, I said I already had, had picked it up, and received title already - two things which would have NEVER happened if the car hadn't been paid for!! I was told they'd do some research and get back to me shortly. Irritating but I wasn't worried. A few hours later they're calling back. I am told "Sorry, we have NO record of your payment, and DO NOT BELIEVE this car has been paid for. Pay the original balance plus late fees immediately, or bring the car back to us! It's clearly an error that a gate pass was issued and title was mailed." WOW ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? So pay twice for the same car, or give it back and let them keep 16k? Get the F out of here!!! I found my "paid cash" receipt for that VIN, marched it into a location, and got that cleared right up - though I never received an apology or even an excuse as to what may have happened on their end with regard to the error/oversight. What a great (lousy!!!!) computer system they have.....

B. One car I purchased, while I made sure to review the vehicle summary page - where it shows sale date, VIN, miles, the seller, CR score, link to Autocheck and Carfax reports, etc, then the "SALVAGE-YES OR NO" line, being clearly notated as *NO*, then after purchase receiving a Salvage Title instead of a Clear Title!!! Titles are non-negotiable in all 50 states, meaning if it's sold as Clear it has to actually and truly be clear. So after THAT phone call & subsequent research, found out the vehicle had a 'notation' as salvage/prior theft recovery in the Separate-window-opening "Seller Comments" button/section at the very bottom of vehicle summary page (which nobody clicks on).... Yet I was flatly told I should have clicked on & read those comments too -- doesn't matter one bit that the MAIN summary page showed "SALVAGE-NO", so it's *MY* problem now. BTW: the car brought clean title money. That's a nice little trick to offload a salvage vehicle for clean title money, right?!

C. Bid on a vehicle online, on Simulcast. My bid was accepted, I was the high bidder, and couldn't bid anymore (against myself!). At least 5 full seconds passed. Right before the auction ended, the bid actually ROLLED BACK, to the company I was bidding against, and THEY "won" the auction -- for a lesser amount than my accepted/recorded bid!! No explanation could be offered when I raised hell to managers, GMs, and corporate. Needless to say I didn't get the car. Wow!

D. Attempted to sell a vehicle. Got the lane and run number. Watching the auction as I was out of town, my car miraculously DOESN'T EVEN RUN!! Wow!

I'm furious. And I'm not going to run it 40 cars afterward, as most buyers waiting for it would have already moved on, thinking it wasn't running. Missed that opportunity! Dealers bring cars to Manheim to RUN AND SELL -- correct??? How does that occur if those cars don't EVEN RUN?? Completely ridiculous!! The explanation? We had a big problem with that this week. Lots of cars were in different lanes for some reason, and never ran. Your car that should have been in Lane 2? Yeah it was in Lane 8 - not sure why and sorry! Let's try again next week... Lol.

It's laughable, truly!!!

its like dealing with the most crooked used car dealer you can think of. Online bidding is the worst. They take fake bids from no one and mark the vehicle up. they hide damage by marking tons of damage so you really dont know how much there is. be careful

I've been a Manheim customer since 2006 and I've never seen such disfunction from any other auction as I've seen from this place in 2020. The staff has changed from happy, helpful individuals to dictators who get their feelings twisted at the very mention of a question or issue. More and more consignors are opting out every week due to the lack of customer service they've received this year. My dealership has ceased all consignment activity and our buying activity continually decreases with every passing week and issue from this location. I would not recommend them for sourcing or consigning inventory this year due to constant unnecessary changes, poor attitudes/service, and mismanagement of client relations and dealer services

I usually dont mind coming to this manheim but this time I was kind of upset. 3 out of my 7 cars were in different places they told me that there was no one scanning the cars so it was pretty much go everywhere and find it. I spent and extra 3 hours finding my cars for a trucker that time is valuable when your elog is running.

Good

From the perspective of an auto transport, to not to be able to park overnight in the event of a late night delivery, or pick up is unacceptable. We are there to do business, and the parking is extremely, if non existent in the Denver area. (To go to the extreme of calling police) It's unfortunate that we can not work together considering we have the same goal.... To move vehicles...

Very organized. People are really helpful and friendly. I love chatting with them; we have a lot of awesome conversation- everyone from the runners to the admin are wonderful and friendly. The arbitration department is very caring and they do a good job of listening to your needs and helping you out too. The process of buying a car from the auction is very smooth and the way they reorganized the auction- makes it even better. I like the fact that you can see the cars a day or two in advanced, and even test drive them.

Love it

Really nice building worst auto auction I've been to! FOUR 4 and a half hours looking for vehicles. Very unorganized and when you ask for help no one knows where it is. The cars are constantly being moved. Such a headache

Customer service and title department needs improvement. Creates hurdles to not do their job. It is a lot easier to say we "can't do it" rather than calling the lender and obtaining a form. I called the lender myself and they said no problem. It is all about the selling and getting their money, after the sale is not important to them. Out of six people I called one returned my call at this auction. Don't even bother talking to managers.

Made an appointment. Drove an hour and a half to get there to be told they didn t have the appointment set, their schedulers work from off site and didn t get it put on the books. So would not help us! Payment has been made on the vehicle and yet would not be released.
DO NOT RECOMMEND
