I was here for my birthday, in the company of my husband and friends, elegant and comfortable rooms, with spectacular panoramic views of Central Park, a beautiful Spa and Fitness Center. Relaxing atmosphere. A few minutes walk from Fifth Avenue.
Everything was top notch about this hotel. Especially because they let us check in hours earlier than normal check in. The bathroom was huge and the rain shower is amazing. Love love love the pillows BUT the bed was not soft. Very disappointed in that but maybe my husband and I like our beds too soft, I don't know, but it will be a factor in staying here again, unfortunately. Yet, that's the absolute only negative thing we can say about this great hotel.
Dinner @Asiate was truly fantastic and the view is nice. Pricy but worthy!
The Aviary NYC in Mandarin Oriental New York. A super-nice-view bar with a seat reservation mast on the window side from evening to night! The best bar in Manhattan with Central Park and Columbus Circle views! recommendation!
Top view on Central PARK.
RECOMMENDED FOR A DRINK.
DO NOT ASK FOR MODICAL PRICES
Great service, very friendly staff, great location (right on Columbus Circle / Metro) Spectacular views of the Hudson River and Central Park. Not cheap, but adequate for the luxury standard. Breakfast is phenomenal, dinner goes so ... Highly recommended is the bar (also for non-hotel guests)
Great place, yet of course very pricey. The regular single room with queens bed could be $1,000 a night. It will be really nice to book a room with the view of Central Park. If you want to feel like you are the top of the list, then this is the place to stay in NYC.
Great overall experience. Competitive pricing, but the rooms were somewhat under-furnished. Overall I had a great time, highly recommended.
Had brunch with some friends. Food was fine but nothing special for the price and not that memorable. Service was good.
Go get a drink at the bar on the 35ft floor, the view is worth it
One of the best hotel chains in the world. No explanation needed. Each guest is treated as an individual. The service here is effortless and there is no request, no matter how insignificant it may seem, that does not receive an immediate personal response. The lobby and rooms are impeccable. To be transparent I did not stay at this hotel but a friend did. I was at the hotel, saw the rooms and the level of service. I base my opinion as a very frequent traveler who normally stays at other hotels.
Came here for a networking event. The view is phenomenal up here!!
Offered sushi, American and an everything Truffle stations. It was an open bar and the staff didn t skimp on the liquor.
I was a day of coordinator for a wedding at the Mandarin in December. The staff was excellent and professional- not to mention the wedding space is beautiful! Highly recommend!
Great place to visit while in NYC. Outdoor vendors with unique style and prices. Make sure you negotiate your prices.
Happy with the environment but the Service Child be better!
I have not stayed in a hotel room but the lobby is gorgeous and the conference rooms are also gorgeous. They are on the 36th floor so every one of them has a great view.
Across the street from Central Park, this upscale hotel is a 1-minute walk from the 59th St.-Columbus Circle subway station, and less than a mile from the Museum of Modern Art.
The contemporary rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with skyline views, as well as flat-screens, stereos and Wi-Fi (fee). They also include desks, soaking tubs and marble bathrooms. Some have Central Park or river views, and luxe suites add separate living rooms and/or Nespresso machines.
Perks include a chic modern American eatery, an airy lobby lounge serving snacks, and a specialty cocktail bar. There's also a fitness center, an indoor pool and a posh spa.
Definitely the best spa treatments one can expect in NYC.
Stayed at the Mandarin...If I could give it 10 Stars I would....Everything about this place was great.
Central park is just across the street. Accomodations are wonderful.
We will be back once they open up again..

Fantastic hotel, wonderful views, fresh food and very controlled hygiene
I'm not giving it a 5 for small details that shouldn't happen, but for now nothing that can't be overlooked.
Without a doubt a wonderful place, to be comfortable and enjoy New York
Room and view incredible! Service and facilities average (swimming pool cold and staff not always very effective or caring especially at the restaurant)
Very nice place, really excellent coktails, very welcoming staff.
We were here at the Aviary for a window seat at breakfast on Thanksgiving Day with a fabulous bird's-eye view of the annual parade sponsored by Macy's. All organised with the brilliant assistance of the hostess, Julia, with many thanks.
The views over Central Park early that morning were breathtaking. We had the best seats in the place and settled down for the parade with some tasty pastries, juice and cawffee. The Parade passed (due to high winds the balloons were very close to the ground, and not at their best), but the excellent cooked breakfast hadn't appeared. We arrived a little before 8am and it didn't arrive until nearly three hours later, with free cocktail and many apologies in the meantime. We weren't particularly bothered - we had ho no conflicting commitments - but we were more than a little peckish by then. One expects more from an establishment with this reputation, but it was the only blemish in what was an unforgettable experience.
Beautiful view of a late fall (it had been raining all day) view of Manhattan and Central Park. Girlfriend and I both had a drink called Margarita-ish which was both excellently flavored and presented
It is an okay hotel. Very expensive. Had lunch here a few times. It was okay. Nothing outstanding. The staff was very friendly.
Always the highest quality food and amazing service. Rooms are chic and comfortable!
This is specifically for the Aviary. Was quite disappointed with the drinks specifically the "wizard staff". This is the most expressive drink/s. It serves 4 and is quite a show when they serve it. It is 4 separate drinks to share with the table; the disappointing part was that all 4 seemed to remind me of college. It tasted like cheap juice mixed with bad liquor. I understand this was mostly about show but at the price and how well know this bar is, the most expensive drinks on the menu should not be this bad. Other drinks were quite good but this really left a bad taste in my mouth, figuratively and literally.
I only used the restaurant for lunch, I highly recommend it if you are with your partner, romantic location, beautiful view, excellent cuisine and qualified staff.
I was there for Hydrocephalus dinner and was really fun.
Expensive hotel but have to see the great views of the city
Just visited the restaurant, to be honest, not the best food I had for this price. Nice but no more than that.
Beyond satisfied. The rooms, the services, the staff. A place that is truly worthy of all praises. I was unable to find anything bad in this place. A true five star experience. Thanks for the great memories.
Great place to have drinks and look out at Central park.
Impeccable hotel, very well cared for, a bit expensive in high season but the service is up to it, and the concierge is great to get you shows pretty much everywhere.
Thank you
It is such a great hotel with an excellent location and wonderful staff. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed, although we did not even book, but came in spontaneously. It took a lot of time for us and showed multiple rooms. We even got an upgrade for a stunning suite. <br/> Yarisol is a total angel and has always helped us with great service. Anytime again.
Very good located hotel right at the Columbus circle. Great view from the room, this time Hudson River view. Highlight -> the Aviary NYC!
Came here for the cocktail bar, The Aviary. Awesome views of Columbus Circle. The drinks were pretty good, very over the top presentation. Not the best cocktails I've had in NYC, but close.
Mandarin has a great view and workers are very friendly
Some of the best views of NY you will ever see.
A vantage that is outside the normal viewing areas.
The conference space is large and can host a wide array of events.
Nobody is in the lobby and the doors are locked on the third floor.
Hotel in New York, Manhattan, near the park, very good location, within walking distance to Broadway, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, with all the brand shops and lots of different restaurants, varied cuisine from all parts of the world, with excellent service and huge tips) )))
A real disappointment. Very bad service, things happen that at that level and with that cost can not happen. The waiter during breakfast to find out if he can remove the dishes makes a horrible gesture with his hands, bad face and bad forms .... they charge you squeezed natural juice, they bring you a bottle and when you demand the chef sends you to say: what there is, if you like it well. You ask room service, they ask you how many people set up the service and then the armed table arrives for a single person (we were 2), this leads to having to wait for the rest of the dishes to be brought to you and when they return He cooled the food. Every day a different discussion. The bathroom amenities also leave them for one person ... The new bar leads many people from outside the hotel and generate an ugly atmosphere. Prostitutes every day crossing the lobby towards that bar ....
Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband, what a great experience. Highly recommend! Everything at this place is perfect, from the spa, workout facility, pool to the amazing rooms with such great views! I would come here again and again, and will definitely be back. The service is also amazing, everyone is very polite and welcoming. All around an amazing experience, beautiful views of Central Park and can t wait to be back.
Rooms are small but modern, comfy and luxurious. Pricey room service, but hey, it's NY
Luxury it certainly is, and maybe my slightly lower rating is due to not being used to these kinds of establishment. Stayed here on a work trip- couldn't fault the staff or facilities, they were fantastic, what I found slightly annoying was the need to pay for everything on top of the extortionate billed room rate. Quite literally everything else was charged for, including internet access. Breakfast wasn't included and came in at around $50 per person for something very basic. The room and bathroom were stunning, as were the views, the staff were very helpful and lovely to the point of it making me slightly uncomfortable! Don't get me wrong, it's a stunning hotel, and if you have cash to splash (which I assume you do if you can afford a room at the rates they charge them out at!), then I'm sure its a great experience- I personally won't be returning though.
Fantastic atmosphere, incredibly professional staff, phenomenal food, and just absolutely overall wonderful experience
Breath taking views from the restaurant, nothing but superb service and drinks.
Great location, service and concierge at the top, we will come back.
It is an inexhaustibly extraordinary and peaceful place
Excellent personal. Assisted me in picking up a oxigen machine. Really nice place.
It's not cheap here, but the view towards Central Park really is spectacular.
Call before arriving if you are coming from quite a distance away, as the bar can sometimes be closed for weddings. Lucky brides!
Great hotel and lobby, really attentive staff who aims to please you. The rooms are a bit worn out though but this seems the case in most NY hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here,
Making slave lake great again in Canada with 2015 Al Gore Igor Russian
Great location, ambiance, but the holding bar to wait for the aviary is a shame. Chicago's Aviary is far superior.
5 diamond hotel, in columbus circle with views of all of NYC from your room, right on central park. Need i say more?
New York was worst place only city of conctrete. Partial greenry!!... Come Australia......
Overall, a very good hotel as a Mandarin Oriental will be.
1st thing to know - Lobby is on 35th Floor
About the rooms - if elevator noise troubles you then avoid the 00 and 18 rooms.
Room was good and bathroom very good size - especially for NY. Service of the rooms was immaculate. Really outstanding.
People are very nice and very helpful
Engineering services could be better. Our room had a problem where the tub was running at full water output and wouldn't shut off. It took over 90 minutes for engineering to come. Happily, the drain was good enough that there was no flood.
There is just one restaurant which is expensive.
There is a bar/atrium which requires advance reservations. It has a great view of Central Park.
From the 3rd floor you have access to the Shops at Columbus Circle where there are some great restaurants (Per Se, Masa) and some good casual places too.
10 minutes walking to Lincoln Center.
Book directly with Mandarin Oriental and you may get some better terms (unless your company has a corporate deal)
