Great place good atmosphere awesome drinks. Definitely will be going back
Cannot get a response from anyone including management; tried for two weeks
Not exactly sure what night I went but I had such a good time with friends. It was my first time there, the dj was on point that night. Not bad at all for a $10 cover. Slightly disappointed with my weak drinks but the dj's connection with the crowd made it a great night. Will definitely see me coming back soon
Heath the general manager there is amazing! Very customer service oriented & runs the place with class and efficiency! Saturdays & Sundays, Pepper is the place to be. The atmosphere is sexy & the music will keep you on the dance floor!
Dance floors sticky, especially front one. Makes it hard for dancing.... Heard lots of complaints about that. To not be deafening, music could be a bit lower. Othereise, a fun place.
This place sucks. The bouncers are rude and the place is a joke. Will not be going back ever. Choose another place.
Had a lot of fun. No idea there was a places that busy on a Sunday night. It was crazy!
I have been going to the Pepper Lounge for years. Granted in the past, it was nice, but management wasn't always on top of things. However, for the past several years, things have definitely changed. For the better. The bar tenders and wait staff are not only attractive, but friendly and respectful. I also like that they don't let in patrons who dress as if they are going to a real "club". Pepper is indeed a true Lounge. It's inviting with elegant decor, with a bar and comfortable seating area in the front. The dance bar in the rear of the building is intimate enough for a smaller crowd, with a VIP section accommodating parties with great service. Outside is a perfect area for smokers, and those who want a bit more quiet to converse and enjoy the weather. I believe that the change in management has a lot to do with the improvements. They are seen running around and taking care of business, always dressed professionally and stylish. I give them a two thumbs up! There are plenty of "bars" and "clubs" in St. Louis.... but nothing has lasted as long as The Pepper Lounge has. That speaks volumes.
Racial Discrimination at Pepper I had a very negative experience at Pepper Lounge. I am an American who went to Pepper Lounge with a group of my Indian friends, and, while we were there, my friends experienced racial discrimination.
We had been at Pepper Lounge from about 10:30 or 11 and had been dancing in the bar. It was quite a nice atmosphere at that point, and the DJ even played some pretty famous Indian songs. When the dance floor opened up, we went in there. My friends are Indian, so they prefer to dance openly in a large group. We danced on the dance floor for a while, and then, while I was at the bar, a bouncer came up to some of them and told them they had to leave because they were too drunk. In fact, no one had more than one or two drinks the whole night. I went to speak to the GM, and he told me that there had been complaints of them bumping into people. I'm not aware of them bumping into anyone, but it's a club, so that happens. Then he said, that they were jumping and kicking and that it's "just not that kind of club." That's when I became very sad and realized that my friends were being kicked out because they just weren't like everyone else. I went and got my tab and told my friends that we should leave, because we don't want to be in a place like that. A very nice bouncer tried to speak up for us. He also had an accent, and I think he was acutely aware that my friends were being asked to leave because they were foreigners. It wouldn't have mattered to me. I wanted to leave then anyway. We went to Club 15, where we had no similar problems.
Literally the most genuine club in STL. I had a great time (a little too great) lost my phone, and coat. The owner himself kept them in a lock box and even offered to deliver them to me. I won t be going anywhere else!
Always a staple for a good time without all the fuss of a trendy nightclub
I'll definitely popular with the trendy and In Crowd this place has a more comfortable feel with an awesome front bar it's decorated in Mahogany wood has a lounge-type feel perhaps a 70s mood type atmosphere and then has a mini nightclub in the back often used to be reserved for VIP parties back in the day now is typically open after 11 on the weekends it goes from 0 to packed within a half hour before 11 nobody after 11:30 packed has bottle service and Reserve tables you can have a good time without do an either however you're looking to turn up with a group at the end crowd spot it's kind of a local haunt this is definitely worth stopping by
One of my favorites to stop by in college and still to this day is adulting ordate night. Always a stop when people or friends from out of town come to visit. It's trendy it's City it's casually comfortable or dressy and moderately priced it's not cheap but it ain't super expensive
Nice and chill but throw the whole DJ away. He plays too many old records. It's 2018 and people want to hear more current music. He plays a lot of early 2000's stuff. So I took a few stars away because of the DJ.
A staple in St Louis nightlife a must go to if you are a fan of multi genre music. Sunday night's are the S#it because I dj there
Not worth it. Early 20's- Went sunday night and was charged 20 bucks reading the reviews I was most likely overcharged but I thought it would be worth it at the time but it wasn't. 85% of the people were in the VIP lounge and some got in w/o a "wristband" most people on the floor were early 30's and up. There are other places that are free to get into or cost 5-10$ that are livelier than this place.
this place is awesome. the music is good and the drinks aren't too expensive
I honestly don't know yet I posted a review to ask a question. I will be visiting soon do y'all allow ripped Jean's?
Small club, decent vip booths. Music is top 40 for the most part and super mixed
I have been going there for years. I love that they play top 40 instead of EDM. I can actually dance and sing along to the music. The drinks are pretty standard. The decor is nice. VIP service is good too! Definitely one of my favorite clubs to attend.
I've only been once but I enjoyed myself. I like the floor layout and atmosphere.
Pretty decent place. Good music fun mixed age crowd. I d go back if in the area again.
Best place for custom made drinks on Friday and Sundays in the front Lounge area.
We went there on a Saturday night with a group of friends and they were so crowded that they started to deny people entry. I was fine with that and ready to go home but later they decided it was okay to let people in. So we decided to go in since they weren't charging a cover at the time (it was around 2am) and the place was so crowded that you literally could not move. They packed people in like sardines and if people did try to dance they ended up bumping into everyone around them. My wife and I go to many clubs in St. Louis, but this one was ridiculous.
The bartender is an exemplary human that changed my life. Existential quarrel ceased to exist as she spoke wind into the air. In the beginning, the bartender's laughter moved mountains.
I had a whiskey smoke that was exquisite.
Anna be the name.
Very racist establishment. My husband and I were there with friends on a Friday. My husband and friends where on the dance floor and my husband's glasses were knocked off. So, we as a group scouted the dance floor from one side to the other... Imagine our surprise when we made it to the other side of the dance floor and was told my husband was being put out. He was put out because he was identified as the male that grabbed a waitress's butt. I'm not opposed to protecting waitresses, however, my husband was with me or our group the entire time we were in there and was not witnessed by anyone else as having sexually harassed anyone. There were only 2% blacks in the club, and while I hate to pull the race card, it's hard to think that my husband wasn't identified as the perpetrator because of his ethnicity, whether it was his hair or his skin color that had him improperly identified. When asked if his accuser could come out and identify him, we were denied. We were also denied the description of the male assailant. While it may have been an innocent mistake, I'm am still in no rush to feel discriminated against, or to waste my money where I'm not wanted. If you are any type of minority, I'd avoid this establishment at all cost. You're likely to get incorrectly accused of defiling the honor of the white woman or any of the other stereotypical crimes of minorities.
This place is BS now. It got really hood, it never gets to capacity with the exception of industry night on sundays and the cover is outrageous. Are you a hot girl? That will be $10 please to go into our club that nobody is inside. I m over it. Don t waste your time.
This club was fair priced but the service was slow and the guest were not very sociable. If you want to be VIP atleast look the part
Nice place to hit up with your friends after midnight to just dance your heart out!
had great time friends bday bottle service vip happy time
Great space, lots of fun music and large dance area. Drinks are pricey but affordable. Lacks seating ,unless your getting bottle service forget about sitting down.
This place would be perfect on Saturday nights if it wasn't for that lame DJ. Please replace this guy already...I beg of you.
Pepper Lounge hosted the second part of our holiday company event. Richard, Louisa and Hannah and of course the rest of the Pepper Crew made us feel welcome and the service was awesome. Definitely put the place on your list for a PARTY! Oh and the 2 DJs west absolutely the best, great fun!
Besides some fights and things I've saw they have good music and drinks are ok priced
Sunday school is my day. Its Like church but in a bar!!!
The experience was horrible and the general manager was rude and dressed like he was in the movie back to the future.
Fantastic venue with top notch DJ and great service!
Had a good time in that place. Friendly and diverse crowd.
Awesome place! A St Louis institution for night life.
Both night club then quite bar beat of both with great drink menu and awesome staff
Having a pretty place is not the only thing that makes ppl want to come back. Their bottle service is outrageous in price, the bartenders are not friendly, nor the cocktail servers. But price is price, I understand that. But what I don't understand is how our entire group got scammed at the door by the bouncer. I called in 2 times that day asking about ticket sales and then again later about the price. I was told both times that I had to just pay at the door and it was a $10 cover. I was fine with that. But instead it was $20 once we got there, and even the DJ we knew playing that night said it should have been only $10. So from the front door problems, to the unfriendly staff, and price of a bottle we all felt like we will not being going back to this club again. There were 13 of us that night, and not one person wanted to come back, not just on industry night on Sunday bc of the bad experience, but also probably never again. And to top it off, I called back the next night and was told to call another time bc the weekends are you busy to take complaints. On a Saturday night at 6 I would have to take any complaints or calls at my bar. Poor employee skills all around.
Went out for a post wedding evening with friends. Beyond underwhelming. The DJ was mashing up the worst selection of songs I could imagine. It was audibly offensive.
