I visited here in the summer with my mom who is originally from Malaysia.

She ordered the kon lou mee and I ordered nasi lemak with rendang beef. As an appetizer we ordered the roti canai with curry sauce. The kon lou mee was very good, though a larger char siu would have been preferred. The nasi lemak was very good and came on an odd but cute shell plate. I would have preferred a bit more spice from the sambal and the rendang. The roti canai was decent though a bit greasy.

I would visit this place again and try out a few more dishes.

The food was good, but not write-home-about good. Might have been better if it arrived warner and more boldly spiced. Missed opportunity. Did not live up to the word of mouth hype. Will try again though... to give the place another chance

I haven't had laksa since we left Australia and had a craving. My Google search identified this little hidden gem.

My companion and I ordered the seafood laksa and the chicken skewers- the flavors are exquisite and just what we needed. We were warmed inside and out.

Our service was terrific and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Although this little restaurant is off the beaten path it's will worth thre journey. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the Laksa here. Definitely preferred the egg noodles (you might have to ask for it) with it than the default vermicelli. The default spice level of 3 isn't all that spicy. If you've tried Banana Leaf's Laksa before, I would say that is at least a 4, if not closer to 5. The Laksa is also cheaper than Banana Leaf's, although the bowl is a little smaller. The dessert was pretty good. With dessert and tip, I would say expect to spend close to $40 for a meal for two.

Very tasty food! I d heard mixed reviews and was a bit hesitant to try the place but am happy I did! Food and plate was great. Lots of little sides (egg, salad, wontons, peanuts, pickles) provided with the meal. I had the regular nasi that came with a vegetarian onion curry. Very good. Will return.

Service is consistently good. Food is Awesome! If you ever go with a group of 3 or more order their BuKuteh which comes.in a huge pot full of the yummy broth, ribs, tofu, veggies and mushrooms. Guaranteed to be filling! Their roti chanai and laksa's are also very good.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. My child said he couldn't stop eating because it was so delicious. I liked the laksa as the soup tasted very flavourful. It was super. The beef rendang was okay. I enjoyed the noodle soup more. I'd go back for sure.

Nice dishes at this restaurant. Good service with thorough explanations of their menu. Very reasonable pricing. The interior of the restaurant is very simple but it works in terms of the layout. I quite liked it and will visit again for sure.

Good food at a reasonable price. Although the menu is limited, all the classic dishes such as laksa, roti and nasi lemak are pretty much perfected. The laksa was my favorite, and you can order it at different levels of spicyness, from 1-5. I also highly recommend the roti- it was the perfect amount of flaky and crispy. Portion sizes were decent overall, but only a few pieces of beef in the rendang with the rice and laksa. Service was great- food came fast and staff were friendly. Would come back!

This is not close at all to authentic Malaysian food. For instance, the beef rendang, which is by definition a dry curry, was bathing in sauce. Thr laksa was bland, had the wrong noodles, and had lettuce?! Every dish i had was missing the right herbs and spices, and tasted generic.

After our meal, the chef came over and i expressed my concerns. He admitted that they don't do authentic food because they can't source the ingredients and try to tailor their food to the Western palette.

You have been warned.

The server was very nice and friendly. My friends and I sat for a while chatting and he was very patient and didn t rush us out. The only thing I wish is they offer the Bak Kut Teh in smaller portion instead of only the sharing size.

Another quaint Malaysian joint run by a guy from Sabah.

I had the Garlic Kon Low Mien (basically dry noodles) and I think it was really good, definitely on par with something you can get back in Malaysia.

My friend had the nasi lemak with chicken. He said it was only average and pointed out the lack of many nasi lemak staples like ikan bilis (dried anchovies) and the outlandishly small serving of sambal. I suspect if we had told them that we wanted more sambal, they would have given it.

Overall I will probably come back, if only to try more noodles as I really liked the kon low mien. The customer service was pretty good too.

Singaporean here, the kolo Mee was different from what I'm used to because the noodles used are kinda more like hk won ton Mee than the kolo Mee noodles. Still great though, fried won tons were crispy and very tasty. So many things I'd wanna try but not enough time or space in the stomach!

Came here by chance... Googled other excellent asian restaurants in Calgary then I found this place. Didn't regret stopping by! Food and service is excellent! Their laksa and rice dishes taste really good. Would definitely visit again to try other things on their menu. Also, would like to add their price is reasonable. :)

Was craving Malaysian food after a trip from Australia. Found this place with high ratings so I had high hopes. Unfortunately I was really disappointed in the food here and I wouldn't recommend coming here. Ordered coconut shrimp spring rolls, nasi with beef rendang and Thai Tom yum soup.

The spring rolls were 5 tiny bite sized shrimp wrapped in spring roll sheets and it came with a dipping sauce. Absolutely not worth the 6 bucks.
The nasi beef rendang was nicely presented but the beef rendang had barely any flavour it was just spicy and very salty and there were very little pieces of meat.
The tom yum soup was also nicely presented but there were barely any toppings and a lot of noodles. The taste was okay but still on the salty side.

This restaurant really is a fusion of western and Malaysian cuisine, yet it fundamentally captures the importance of its signature dishes. Both the Laksa and Rendang were delicious, yet they werent overly rich, too spicy or oily like other Malaysian places. Would recommend if you have a softer palette, and the staff is very friendly.
